- Only in 2024, will we see a great wrestling match, and its performers become a victim of online pro wrestling tribalism. MJF, and Will Ospreay delivered one of the best wrestling matches all year, and people sought to criticize it blindly in every aspect because it happened on AEW Dynamite, and not the way THEY envisioned it. A discussion on why the match worked, why online fans are mental, and where this all eads, and why everyone will look like a fool come AEW All In. Also, Bobby Lashley seems to be walking away from WWE along with MVP, and it also has sparked online criticism, with the topic of racism also being brought into the discussion. Where Lashley is going, an update on his WWE contract, and why the current WWE admininstration led by Triple H isn't to blame. I feel like the reason why the interest in aew is down this year is because people are sick of seeing Jericho and the young bucks on TV constantly. If they honestly take these guys off TV, the interest in aew would be back.

Absolutley! I really tried to watch with the return of MJF but seeing the horrible bad acting of the Bucks and Jericho always wants to make me vomit. What they supposed to archive with it ? I just hate the cringe but some people really like wrestling when its like the worst scripted reality Trash TV... the kind of program people feel to be something better than the Idiots displayed ? Love CM Punk or hate him but what he gave during his Time in AEW (esp. in the feud with MJF) and what he also gives to WWE is the feeling that all the tension is just real. That the business takes it serious and not be only some show off display from to old to be infantil annoying goofs.
The aew fans do not help either
Get them off TV, have a heavy punishment for backstage drama when it overshadows the content, and push the guy you have as champ as a megastar.
One year of this and they’d be back on track.
The Bucks aren’t even a problem you just threw that in there.
Jericho is an issue but he’s literally still a ratings draw. Like it or not.
WWE changed for the better once Cody returned. Wrestling and storylines came back to WWE and the WWE traditionalists became loyal again. The rise and fall of AEW begins and ends with with Cody Rhodes.

Always a joy to see Solomonster and JD back at it again on TNT talking about whatever they want to talk about plus with what we have on tap for summer Slam and AEW should be fun and exciting plus I also wish Jericho would get rid of the whole learning tree gimmick it doesn't matter and does nothing for nobody in my honest opinion.
Love the discussion. I'm a little glad Solo ate JDs lunch at the 1hr 25 minute mark, on a couple topics. HHH has dropped the ball (doesn't mean he is racist) and we gotta stop just blaming Vince. Gunther is definitely not guaranteed 365 days as champ either, I thought that was a really bold prediction when JD made it before

Doesnt make sense for Gunther to win at Summerslam with another ppv in August as well..if he wins at summerslam, his match at Berlin just becomes a regular match with no real time for story or build and takes away any investment in it when you know he's not going to lose his first title defense..the match at summerslam can end with fluke decision..priest retains..they run it back at Berlin and Gunther wins..so you get two matches out of it and still get to the same conclusion

I am a fan and love your guys talk show and you both know a lot about wrestling which makes your guys money in the bank takes make no sense. The brief case is a plot device so that people like Cody and Gunther can get beaten by anyone and it would make sense. It baffles me that every week when you bring up the briefcase you completely undermine the exact meaning of the case. Wasn’t a hate comment it was just a pet peeve but hope yall have a good day and great show!

I think Jeff Jarrett is going to interfere in the Blood and Guts match, hitting Hangman Page with a guitar, leading to Jarrett vs Hangman in a Texas Death match at All In or All Out. There is a story that Hangman blamed Jarrett for his loss, and took away his chance for revenge on Swerve in the Owen Hart Cup finals.
Jey doesn't need a title. He's more over than 90% of the roster and in WWE, you don't need to be the greatest wrestler to be over.. he's more over than Gunther but Gunther would clearly be a better world champion. Jey still be in alot of main events..he doesnt need a title...LA Knight doesnt need a title either, although he's about to get one
The whole "he doesn't need a title" was something that people had problems with during Vince's time in charge. While I agree with you on Jey, I don't agree with you in an all-encompassing sense
No, for his body of work he deserves the damn title. Keeping him stuck in a tag team and in the BL is messed up. Jey doesn’t have 5 star matches like gable, I couldn’t care less about gable and his 5 star capabilities.
Jey’s character shouldn’t get back with the BL, especially what they did to him. They should be beaten down so badly that he jumps in at the last moment.
The AEW&WBD t.v and streaming deal will be $500 million/5yrs

Hikaru shida didn't get enough turn sideways on that cross body and since the aisle between the fans and the ring is tighter due to the setup..skyy blue didn't have enough space behind her to fall back and her leg got caught underneath leading to the broken ankle smh. Man that sucks. Knowing the aisle is right and not enough space to drop back while taking the cross body..they shouldn't of did the move. Sometimes you just have to use logic. Maybe do the cross near where the entrance ramp to the ring is. Since it's more space to take the move there.
I'm delayed and over an hour behind, but Bacardi has been the ultimate wrestling cat and this needs to be celebrated. And JD needs to get about ten cats and maybe one will be worthy of title of Bacardi Jr. 22 years is amazing.

I guess the fued between Randy and cody will be similar to aj Styles and nakamura. The first match both will be baby faces, and after the first match, cody wins clean randy will turn heel. The first match will happen, and Randy will say Gunther doesn't win clean in King of the ring.

Constant digs by AEW on WWE when wwe was all time low during 2021-2022. Now total vice versa has happened.

TNT #58! Great podcast to listen in the evening hours. 7 matches for SummerSlam is a solid match card. No more. No less. WWE NXT was good, in my opinion, while listening to JD and Solomonster. 🤟🏻🇵🇷
My problem with Osprey vs MJF was not the match. It's the booking. They could have got weeks off tv out of this rivalry. Flesh out the feud. Instead we got MJF turning heel and the next week each guy cutting one promo where the other guy is not even in the building. This could have been done to build up to doing the match at Wembley but Tony feels like he can only do this kind of match on tv because he needs to get to his 15 matches/ppv.

@@demontejones619 Not me or Tanaka are saying we dislike the match. Pay attention. Tony's booking was trash. They got into this amazing 60 minute match with an incredible finish over MJF beating up some other guy like Daniel Garcia who Osprey praised once? It was rushed. They could have used it to improve the weekly show and build to the match, make this feud months worth of tv with this match not having to happen so soon. This could be another heated rivalry just like Hangman and Swerve. Because guess what? Its MJF and Osprey, this match was going to be great regardless. Tony needs to focus on not just good matches but building them and giving people reason to care beyond "great match".
