What’s even worse is that the backstage drama could be a literal booking blueprint for Tony Khan to take advantage of. Instead of letting Punk and Jack Perry feud you let punk walk then release the footage months later as a cheap character arc for the young bucks 😂
@@QTooReal The whole Jack Perry Scapegoat and EVP angle is next level dumb. First off, who is blaming Jack Perry and what are they blaming him for? When he came back to AEW, Tony gave him a big hug in the middle of the ring before Perry body slammed him. Second, there are so many unavoidable and unexplainable logic holes in what the EVPs are empowered to do, what Tony is empowered to do, how they keep over ruling each other randomly and inconsistently. You don't even have to nitpick to find issues with the logic because they contradict the rules of their universe in back to back segments. The whole promotion is such a GD mess.
@@WallyHays it honestly sucks because the first 3 years of AEW was extremely fun imo. It wasn’t perfect by any means but there was at least a sense of urgency to the booking and the character development between Mox , Cody , Kenny , and Jericho has some type of direction. Now it’s very messy and at times lazy and almost nonsensical lol
Britt picked the worst time to be difficult. When she was on top of the womens roster a few years ago the talent pool was shallow, fast forward today its more stacked than its ever been. Britt is replacable, mjf is not.
Id be surpirsed if she doesnt to to WWE because of this.
She got along with punk too, so theres the obvious contact. AEW has problems WWE doesnt.

Tony Khan is more of a wrestling fan than a booker. AEW needs structure and a booker who’s know what they’re doing, especially giving us episodic television.

The wheels are falling off it seems, there is a reason why WWE is 🔥 and AEW is 🗑️ right now. One big common denominator is Tony being just incapable of showing any leadership in these situations.

the real AEW backstage drama is more believable and convincing than the kayfabe storylines that TK tries to do, on screen.
I don't care what anyone thinks MJF and Alicia Atout should have been suspended. How many times since wrestling has that been a thing? Since wrestling has been a thing? Someone watching a match backstage or in the locker room and been like "Why Are These 2...." whatever to someone next to you? If Alicia Atout had just ignored it,like adults do nothing would have come from it. Then MJF being mr big tough guy going into The Women's locker room trying to intimidate her. How is any of that ok?

Part of being a good wrestling booker/promoter is handling the talent. Khan got tons of booker and promoter of the year awards but has no idea how to do either.

My logic on this seems to be different. I get Atout is a AEW employee as backstage interviewer, but in this situation she comes off as a mark, middle school tattle tell. Like do we know how well she's liked backstage? Is she accepted by the women's lockeroom? I mean I think what this showed the most is how cliquey and toxic the AEW backstage culture probably is the most. Also it doesn't help how many incidents have shown the companies structured like a gawd damm fortune 500, aka run by fuckin HR instead of a WRESTLING Company being lead by Veteran Wrestlers. This should of been handled backstage quietly or turned into an angle to circle back to MJF/Cole. I know wrestlers court has a bad connotation to it, but I feel that type of system should still be used in certain situations such as this and not stupid fuckin suspensions that aren't kayfabe.
