Paramount's Carowinds visit July 19, 1993 :: Charlotte, NC - no one looking down at cell phones!

Carowinds looked a lot different over 20 years ago. In 1993, it was owned by Paramount and movie characters roamed the park. The only big coasters were Thunder Road (now defunct) and the new Vortex stand-up coaster. The paddleboat and monorail were still operating also.
