Dear people of the world - there will never be a replacement of a true, handmade item !!! Anything machine made will never have an energy of anything handmade !
I learned how to knit and crochet during quarantine and I am hoping to teach myself weaving through online resources as well. I appreciate this video. Thank you.
Heavenly Father Great Spirit richly and abundantly bless these people now and forever more. Pour out Your Spirit of love and joy and peace and help them flourish and bless the world with their love and their light and their wisdom. Please restore to them the years stripped away and let generation after generation shine brightly.
The beauty and priceless items created by these amazing artist worthy of the historic recognition that no words can truly express the gratitude I feel witnessing this artistic representations and efforts to continue this tradition into the future as they share this with others is amazing and what the world needs today the love shared among us all 5 fingers beings. I plan my future once zi move from CA to spend time closer to the Navajo lands to learn the artistic crafts I am interested in by moving to the border area of Colorado east of Durango. That is my hearts full intention.
My great grandmother was a wonderful Diné (Navajo) weaver. I have one of the last small blankets she made. It's one of my most prized possessions. I've had to move far away from Dinétah, and so I’m trying to do as much research as I can to relearn our language and our culture. I want to learn how to build my own loom and weave. Thank you so much for making this video and for providing resources for our people and for others.
I wish i could go there someday to learn & share my skills. I do many kinds of art. I was taught how to bead at age 4. What beautiful ladies! Bless your hands to weave!
Im so glad I found this video, It is my dream to visit these beautiful people. I feel a close connection with these souls.I want to learn how to weave. thank you for sharing such awesome stories. Love and Peace to you all, from Texas
Wow. What a wonderful program. I’m a Diné Traditional Basket Weaver and this is so inspiring. This year in 2024 I’ve decided to bring myself out of my shell and show my work of art. Thanks to my Native RUclipsrs, I’ve created my channel @NativeBeautyArts. All still in the work but it’s so wonderful to see this video because my grandma is a rug weaver as well. Much love to this program. Would be very nice to attend. 🫶🏽💯🪶👍🏾✊🏾‼️

Much Love to you.
I live in New Mexico and I would love to be given the privilege to take this class.
I know that feeling. When I’m camping and feel my father walking with me. In my workshop he looks over my shoulder.

Weave Weave Weave !!!! What happen to weaving belts ??? A Dine fr The Twirling Mt New Mexico
These tiny pieces aren't teaching you anything. Nothing about time. space. life. land.
I apologise a little bit. Too harsh. But this only vaguely resembles making big blanket... under which you may sleep and make life.
