Trying wall Pilates after a thyroid condition diagnosis and finding my old diet and exercise habits not cutting it. Hoping this will be the start of reclaiming my body after two kids!
This my almost exact situation! I had hyperthyroidism that developed into thyroid cancer. Had my surgery and now trying to manage my weight after having a baby and surgery 2 months apart.
My sixty year old body has decided to betray me. This was my first day. I typically walk 3 miles a day but I need something to build back lost muscle tone. Looking forward to all 28 days. Thank you!

I work out with weights everyday: Monday; chest back, Tuesday: arms & tri’s etc…did wall Pilates today and it was intense, I could actually feel the burn.

Will update everyday for 28 days! including every day walks of 10K steps and at home body workout. (don't feel motivated for the gym) Day 1: Struggling with flexibility and core, but felt good afterwards and sore next day. Day 2: Struggling with plank movements and lower back engaging, but still good.
I'm 37yrs old and a copd patient. I did all except the planks. I felt my whole body being activated. Never thought wall Pilates can be this effective. I weigh around 63kgs. And intend to get to 52kgs. I lack muscle strength perhaps that's why I can't be persistent with exercises. I will try to accomplish this 28-day challenge Insha Allah. Probably commenting after each day's exercise would help me stay consistent.

@@mhadam2006 Well, I couldn't keep up with the exercise. However I do very mild exercises sometimes in a week. As exercise increase heart rate and that aggravates my lung condition. But I have cut down on my diet (I sometimes cheat as I cannot diet like healthy people as dieting affects immunity and makes me prone to illness quickly). I also made some healthy alterations. So now I weigh 55kgs Alhumdulillah. My goal is to go down to 50kgs but in a healthy way. So I'll continue the healthy food choices and mild exercises when possible. Perhaps I'll try to add this to my weekends routine. I work during the week so cooking, office drain me enough to avoid exercising. But I try to take stairs at work and home. So that's enough of an exercise for me. 😂

I'm a woman of a certain age, haven't done exercise in a while, just tried Day 1, you make it look so easy! I couldn't do the plank one, but that will come as I build up. Finding form and positioning will also improve, am sure. I really enjoyed this and look forward to continuing for the 28 day challenge! 😊💕
I have the same issue as a 51 year old. They didn't mention it, but I am starting with a half plank, rather than the full plank. In the half plank, your knees contact the floor rather than your feet. It helped me perform the exercise much more effectively as an older gal.

Thank you for making this doable for beginners to wall pilates! I don't have super strong arms so I found it quite hard to do the arm moves at the end when I was getting tired.
I loved this! But I'm SO incredibly unfit so it was insanely hard. 😢 Is there a beginner version, or can I modify anything? I'm totally new to working out in general but trying to get strong and healthy for my son. 😬
Got to day 9 and started to experience pain in my knees. Not sure if this is normal or if I’m doing something wrong 😕 starting back at day one after taking a week off. On the plus side, I saw a HUGE difference in my waistline after just 9 days. I’m not mad at that at all! I’ve also never seen my ab muscles before and I can see definition in them now 😳🤯🙌🏽 back on this horse I go, I can’t wait to see what the end result is going to look like.
That’s awesome you’re feeling it, that’s progress good work! Not sure why you’re getting the knee pain… I usually hear about back pain which is an easy fix but knees I haven’t heard about with wall Pilates. Have you had issues with them with other exercise?

Mix up your workouts is my recommendation. Some dumbbell strength focused workouts alongside Pilates which will also build tone and definition 😊 diet is key for fat loss
If I want to add cardio exercise to this challenge, what should be first pilates then cardio or opposite? and important question should we eat before pilates or we can do it in the morning after waking up on an empty stomach ? 🌹 My goal is to lose fat and tighten and sculpt the body

Just did 1 day, I’m 63 KG and I’m not able to lose weight, I have tried so many workouts but they haven’t really helped, I hope this will help. I will keep doing these workout everyday for 28 days and I’ll post back if I see results 😘
Hey, that’s ok! The key is to just try your best, if you can complete the full set then do what you can and take longer rest periods. You will gain strength and progress over time if you still with it 😀🩷

Hey, it’s not really necessary given that it’s not high impact exercise and Pilates is very much a combination of stretch, mobility and strength training. But do a warm up if you feel you should!

Today was my first day. I only had trouble with the last exercise, for some reaon my knees where not comfortable. Thanks a lot for this workout. Since I am new, I want to know if warm up and stretch/cool down are necessary? Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge❤
Hey, it’s not really necessary given that it’s not high impact exercise and Pilates is very much a combination of stretch, mobility and strength training. But do a warm up if you feel you should!
