You being home schooled is a big plus Emily. Kids would learn so much more and worthwhile life stuff than they could learn in a public school. Kudos to your parents for doing the best thing.
Awesome interview Emily. I love your outlook on life. It has been refreshing to see it in action during the videos that you have made. I admire your bravery for sharing your life with us in your videos. I especially like that you set boundaries for the viewers and you don't cave on those boundaries. It keeps us all in a healthy place. I respect and honor you and Aaron a lot. Please keep being you.
Loved the video. I hated school from the 1st grade, I too was a hippie, dropped out in the 11th grade, got my GED, went to welding school, always had a job of some sort. Somehow, I managed to retire from Dow Chemical at 55 years old, debt free, own two homes and land in the hill country of Texas. Not bragging, just pointing out that you do not need an expensive degree to be successful. Life IS like a box of chocolates...you never know what you are going to get.
I had a very unstable childhood. My freshman year of high school was so overwhelming that I would wake up every morning vomiting. I literally couldn't function. I ended up dropping out of high school during my first semester. I work hard and was laser focused. Around 12 yrs later I went on to become an assistant manager of a large company that did around $16 million a year in sales. I managed over $3 million in inventory and was over around 20 people. It wasn't until I was about 48, that decided to get my GED. Despite what all I had accomplished, it just felt like a part of my life that I needed to correct. I'm so thankful that I did, but make no mistake. I worked with a LOT of people with degrees. Your level of education does not define you. You're motivation and willingness to learn certainly does.
Emily, if I may call you that...This video is the finest one you have ever done that I have seen.(I have seen them all..including your fashion stuff). You opened up for what I think is the first time..Don't change a thing..Europe..I took my new, 1971 H-D XLCH from England to North Africa and back..Do that Europe trip !!!
My father was raised in an orphanage, he went to achool up til they showed him the door. He not only made his way in this world, he did pretty damn good, but my mom got sick and it all went away. Thung is, he did all that with thoae tools that he learned AFTER his formal schooling ended. You're doing just fine, thank you very much. You're articulate, knowledgeable of things things you talk about and you've demonstrated your capabilities quite easily. Congratulations young lady!
Hey Emily, I could always tell you were a free spirit along with your adorable mom. Great video and keep on being you. Love the chill content y'all do with the family.
Glad you're mom let you be you, my parents and youngest brother were taken away from us when I 15 didn't care for school after that and learned to think for my self I think on the long haul it made me a better person, love your videos and plan to watch all of them may God bless and keep you and your family safe.
You're right I learned more from outlaw bikers than anybody real outlaw bikers they live right next door to me when I was growing up I learned how to build cars motorcycles paint weld everything my dad was also Gearhead he was a flathead guy he had 50 ford dual carbs nice cam adapted for Speed positraction my dad was an excellent auto body man all lacquer jobs my dad used to see if you can see her eyeball reflection in the door hinge bolts it's a nice paint job have a great day I didn't learn much in schoolHave a great day
Title is slightly misleading... being homeschooled and traveling the world are possibly your best teachers. Your mom is awesome. Getting a GED or diploma teaches you how to follow someone else's rules and how they want you to think and behave. You have learned how to be yourself and how to succeed. I have a high school diploma and I'm one of the least smart people I know. Not dogging on myself just stating that it took me years to realize I had to figure out how to think for myself rather than having someone else tell me how and what to think.
Formal education is not the ticket to success. Hard work, focus on clear goals, a dose of luck, and faith are the ingredients to success. Ps Having fun and not taking yourself too seriously also helps. Have fun, keep moving forward, and don’t let the devil get ya. ✌️❤️🙏😎🎣🍷
Thank you for sharing i really enjoyed getting to know more about you i love your enthusiasm when it comes to working on cars cant wait to see whats next for you ❤
Wonderful insight on your choice on how you feel. Related is only you can control how you respond to someone else. And, that is all you can control as you point out. Smart girl! I would have picked the GTO...
I am the same, what other people say and do has no effect on how I feel about myself. I have friends of all kind rich, poor, middle class, black, white, European and Asian. I treat all of them the same and respect them for who they are. Learn to love yourself and love others.
Not sure if you are still boating in your Bayliner as I just started viewing. Got a suggestion. When towing your little canoe, I’d try using a bridle set up. Two lines from canoe bow w/one to starboard cleat and one to port. It will keep your foldaboat centered behind the boat. Plus Ave an extra line for security. Just Sayin.
Emily I love your variety of videos on your channel & This one too the interviews I love your bubbley personality & I agree with your last statement I work with a lot of young people take away their phones they would be Handicapped
I think it's a good thing that you didn't follow the "normal" routine of grade school then college, etc.. Because of that you've had experiences that you wouldn't have had, and that's allowed you to be the rebel that you are, following your heart always in search of a new adventure. Obviously I don't know you, but that's just the feeling I get from watching you. And I use the word "rebel" in a very positive way ! Rock on young lady !
Emily, you never seem to disappoint us with your life. Thanks for sharing, and Merry Christmas to you and the whole family. P.s. ........please put a side view mirror on the Bronco 😊😊😊😊
You got me started on Instagram when I met you at Iola car show with my son-in-law. We hope to see you and your husband at Iola car show 2024. Great video. It was this very quality you displayed in this video that allowed me to trust in your encouraging words to “go for it” on Instagram. Thanks!!
Super awesome vid thanks for opening up. I think I have seen every one of your videos, some of them multiple times. If I was to ask a question, and I hope this is not too personal but I have often wondered why no children of your own?
Maybe you should be a "mystery shopper" I did that once, it makes you feel powerful and now days, you could secretly record it, but not sure it would be legal to post without permission unless you concealed their identity... Great wisdom in what you would tell your younger self! Never give anyone else permission to ruin your day or make you angry as they will forget about it and yet they are still living rent free in your head. Be satisfied and happy with what you have, not what other's have. Mood Music.. I was a teen in the 60's, what a time to love music, as it had feeling in it... My parents knew how every date went... after I got home from a date and put on a record with a hard beat like "Teen Beat" by Sandy Nelson, it didn't go so well, but if it was Paul Anka "Put Your Head on my Shoulders" or similar then it went really well. I didn't realize I did that until they told me much later.
Outstanding about public education. It has failed many generations of American children. My message is: REPEAL THE U.S DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION IN WASHINGTON DC AND RETURN THE $$MONEY $$ TO THE STATES AND DISBAND THE NATIONAL TEACHERS UNIONS .
The education of a 3rd grader and the beauty of an angel!
I have a whole new respect for your mom. PS: You seem plenty smart enough.
You being home schooled is a big plus Emily. Kids would learn so much more and worthwhile life stuff than they could learn in a public school. Kudos to your parents for doing the best thing.

Just started watching. I was in the boat business for thirty years. If ya have questions holler.
Way to go Emily!
I believe that although education is good a child can learn so much more from good mentors. In your case i think your Mum was right, good on her.
At a girl. Mom is great. We love her cell now we see where you get your values at.❤
Great little Q&A session. Thanks for sharing...now Mangia Mangia 🙂

Public school is over rated, most of the circulum I either don't need or haven't used at all. The only classes that stuck were shop, building trades
Great video 🎉
Well Emily. Ya turned out just fine. Life is a better teacher anyway.
Big fan of Flying Sparks Garage!
Public school has failed anyway. Our schooling needs to change to parents choice. Great video
Another good one 👍👍
You need to do a trip back to Roxy's origins in Australia!

Girl you could get your high school diploma at a junior College , and get 2 year college degree.
Emily, I think if you could consistently produce videos in lieu of sporadic productions your you tube channel would be HUGE.
