I'm 73 yrs old and lived in Pt. Huron,Mi. & remember cruising & racing Woodward Ave & Gratiot Ave back in the late 60's/ early 70's. It was the best of times as far as I'm concerned. All the people from Chrysler used to bring out some of the things they were working on at the time. Things like aluminum hoods on Dodge Coronet's as well as the 426 Wedge Hemi, cross ram dual quad intakes and the likes. It was a time like no other, but at 16 - 18 yrs. of age, looking back now, we had no idea what a time it truly was. I've been a GM guy pretty much my whole life with the exception of 72 when I bought a Dodge Demon 340 brand new for around $4k, if my mind serves me correctly. If I only had one half the cars I owned back then, I'd be one wealthy s.o.b. lol 😎👍❤️
Alex and Dennis really killed it with that build. Especially since they did it all while having covid lol. They are legends!
Legends!
😜👀👀
Dennis Taylor works his butt off to make it happen. One heck of a builder. And Alex is just an outstanding driver with some serious skills. Emily, we love your broadcasting skills. Always bright, cheerful and simply a joy to listen to.
That sure means a lot to me!! Thank you!
Dennis Taylor is like the godfather of fabrication awesome build Derek and Emily work so well together both have great channels and Alex has great talent on the dragstrip
Incredible talent!
Well done Em! Loved watching this. Derek is ALWAYS a trip and Alex is...Alex! All the BEST!!!
Awesome!
The lettering on Alex Taylor's Savoy is crazy good! Cool build.
Love the builds Alex and Dennis do! Dennis is a freakn' genius car builder.
Yea, we agree!
Derek and Emily always work so well. With that smile on Emily I would be hard press to find anyone that could not work with he attitude. Keep up the content all of you. Flying Sparks and VGG RULE!!!!!
All the noise! You would think you were at Drag strip!!!! Great job Alex and Co. Fun to watch!
I’ll be dipped, a young fellers boots were sticking to the track !
Pat on the back again Dennis Taylor. You are a awesome car builder. Alex too
Alex Taylor is the real deal!! And her Dad Dennis, what can you say, can that guy build a car or freakin what?!?!?! Great job Alex, Dennis and Lucky!!!
Alex Taylor Rocks ... Fast Girl...
And it's Good to See Derek out there too
best coverage of RK nights 2023 yet!
Alex and pops always amazes me !!!!!
Sure do!
hell, I didn’t know Collette drifted, I know of her as a Xfinity driver. Too bad about the clutch The stick might be slower but it’s a lot more fun. Alex was always going to win. Her Dad is a beast of a builder and she knows what she’s doing.
Xfinity ?
If you want to catch up on what Collette she's got her own channel now and has been with Adam LZ for couple years now
You did a great job covering this event. almost as good as being there.
Thank You Emily and PEAK Auto and Roadkill.
Woodward Ave. has been a drag strip for over 170 years..................Young carriage drivers raced one another along Woodward Avenue after the roadway was converted from logs to planks in 1848. They placed bets on each other's carriages while racing from tavern to tavern......
......................................By 1958, the roadway was used for unofficial street racing with cars. The wide width, median and sections lacking a large commercial presence attracted a reputation for the competition.
They built that car in 28 days on hot garage they actually work their fingers to the bone To get it done in a short time a well deserved win for Alex Taylor
I don't understand the controversy. Manuals simply separate people that can actually drive from people that hold a steering wheel.
Great! show Emily. Tell those Taylors. " They are BADASS"
Go Alex Taylor!
:)
Great presentation from my two favorites. Garage and Sparks has an awesome ring. Thanks you two, amazing tire tread vloggin...
Collet loved the video with KSR. You rock!!!! Of course KSR rocks as well. Love this racing community!
Looks like a great time!
It was!
Haven't watched a Peak video in a while, I'm missing out. This was pretty fun.
Listening with really good headphones is crazy good.
Alex can drive. That was cool.
She crushes it
Great job Emily what a cool event and the Savoy was bad to the bone Alex was ripping Love Y’all
You did a great job Emily.
Saw the Savoy build, what an under pressure, no time build, with a side of covid.
Dennis is the man, Lucky and others helped, and Alex drove a great race.
Good to see Derick and Finnegan a little too.
Racing stopped for a train!!! How cool is thatm
Wow, this was one the best ones yet! Great job!
miss this year roadkill nights i hope next year going in
Hope we get to see you!
As a long-time Woodward cruuzer dating back to the 60s,hanging out at Ted's drive in.Thanks for the trip dowm

Greatest hosest, presentrist, emc, interviewer person for this event. Hope they have you back next year!
You and Derek are a great match for this event. 👍
Great job Emily and Derek. Congrats Alex real nice run and what fun build to watch.
Thanks for commenting!
I respect all the ladies that are playing this game
I think they should let Dennis Taylor compete against Alex next year!
I Love the "Youts" that never heard of a Dodge Lancer !! Lol 👍
Emily you're just being nice, I know you know these cars !! 😉
Love Derek’s new show!!!! Big fan
The Savoy is awesome. It really threw off the drivers having to drive a stick!
Great video EM thanks for your time
👍👍 This was Great. Hell yeh Alex and the Crew How freeken cool this was with a RR crossing in the back ground. This is a One off for sure.
Just great watching all of my favorite creators on one video.
Drove a 1962 lancer for year when I was younger was a very good and dependable car had a 225 slant six in it
missed meeting both of u.
hope I can meet u guys soon
Old cars and beautiful women. no way I wasn't missing this video. Lol. I put PEAK antifreeze in my 55 Chevy I'm building on my channel. When do I get my interview??? Lol
Watched this on Weston's channel he kicked ass this year why you go man...
Emily, I loved this Video! I have owned Mopar's all my life and do you know what Mopar stands for? Massively over powered and respected.
Enjoyed!!!!! 👍👍
That was a great video; thanks so much !!!
Very cool....my 1st car was a 1962 dodge lancer...170 CI...3 on the tree no factory options like heater, prismatic mirror, seat belts, RH mirror, glove box light...he'll today's coffee makers hav a bigger owners manual then this car had...but I had wheels 😂
Nicely done video. I was going to skip it and I’m glad I didn’t. I like the way women are on equal footing with men in this sport.
Of course it's hooking, it's iconic Woodward Ave.
Emily and Alex are the coolest
I love the Lancer!!
She certainly banged gears on that manual. It did help that she got to try a Liberty?equipped pro mod for a bit of practice prior to Woodward.
when I see Em and Derek together, Motortrend may put them in a show like Alex and Lucky- Aaron would be a part of it just like Dennis is. Derek has a Motortrend show, but he could be in 2 and RUclips like Finn
Derek has got to be the luckiest man alive.
This was a great video guys 👍👍🇨🇱
Thanks, Shane!
Emily and Derek together. Love it!
Thanks for sharing it was epic
Home sweet home...
Hey Emily, you look gorgeous.
Alex and her dad build some awesome cars and she can drive
They robbed Billy from SRC
That year Dodge Lancer was the equivalent of the Plymouth Valient!
I like the bold and quirky lines on that Lancer. Fits Collete's personality well right down to the orange the guy she bought it from painted it.
WECOME TO MICHIGAN . Emily and Kevin from vice grip garage. No I didn't forget Aaron , hello Aaron . really want to see everyone could make the bucket list. I'm now 63 years old. Lived in Flint Michigan for 60 years. Yes Flint michigan. We're back there breaks car shows go on. Also known for the Buick Chevrolet cars and truck and bus for chevrolet. Was built here in Flint michigan. Also enjoyed you and Emily. And Kevin from vice grip garage showed up in Pontiac Michigan September 26th 2022 from Gordon E Walker
Billy from SRC got screwed over!!!
Awesome! Maybe next year! 🤞
Now Alex gets to go to BONIVELLE SALT FLATS !!! for some real speed. She's shooting for 265MPH. Go get em Alex.
WOW! I did not realize you were that tall
Wow! I didn't realize Alex was so little.
I like your freckles.
That was so awesome
need so say vice gripe and michigan ave in michigan state
Weston made me so proud.
what the hell u put in that car THAT GAPS
Westin Champlin is awesome!!
SO cool! Did the right lane have some grip issues?
I bet Alex is at least 2 seconds faster because she's maybe 110 with her race gear on, less than half some of the other drivers...
Nothing derogatory. Just physics.
My Dad had a lancer with a push button automatic transmission.
There is no School like the Old school!
Very cool
Silly question but do they get to keep the hellcat engines or have to give 'em back to Dodge?
Awesome video yall
That ain't no Woodward Ave running thru Ferndale mi.
Love ya . Great video
they cheated billy the kid
Tell all the Vintage Drag Racers across the nation you can't go fast with a manual !!!! 🤔 Lol
Honest question... the Viper V10 has so much torque and power... is the Hellcat faster? It's fun either way but I wonder.
I’m not a smart man, but I know what love is, and I’m pretty sure I’m in love with Alex Taylor.
What would of actually made it better if vice grip garage got to build one and race
They are the best and that's bottom line
✌️
Westen Champlin will win it next time.
Peak,motortrend. 🤔
If I didn't know you an Collette I'd say she's your daughter haha😅🤷♂️
Kind of dragstrip is this the jump off the line and then shut it down.
