The J Geils Band had been around for more than a decade before hitting the big time with back-to-back smash singles in 1981 Centrefold and Freeze Frame. Blessed with a terrific frontman in Peter Wolf, the band conquered internationally and became hugely popular all over the world. 1971. I was 12. Saw these guys live in LA. I saw them about 45 times more one of the most exciting bands ever. Rock n Roll Hall of fame sucks. They should be in there they were together for 16 years with no personality change performed all over the world. I promoted their solo records.
