Love it James, brilliant video. Funny and entertaining. Love the sleep options and the throwing the garden rubbish over the wall to distract from your sneeky peeking.
H. Great choice of music in the evening, Motorhead! Thanks for a video full of laughs and fun. And your right about the ice in the beer, if its hot outside its perfect. Chees and take care.
The Mazda is a keeper. My local Ford dealer would charge more for 2 hrs labor plus sales tax, no parts included. Yes, automotive repair labor costs are approaching $200/hr for labor only here in USA.
Hey James Cool video, I had to have the clutch fixed on our Mazda BTpro50 5500 but after only 80,000 km don't know much about cars but that seems cheap.
Every rural bus station looks the same. That was clearly the last seat available on the bus. Ferris Bueller is a classic. Life moves pretty fast, if you don't...
"The kids sleep with their mum until forty" Hilarious 😂 You’re right about the car. New cars brake down like it’s pre-planned. And Ford... no way I would buy a Ford even that they have the looks. I would choose Toyota every day in the week.
Mate I've had a 2006 triton done 400,000kms I've changed the turbo since new. I also have a 79 classic. Hard to part with them in today's world. Those trees are lemon scented gums. Grow massive and loose limbs. Don't let any branch grow past 30 degrees. It will come down with a gunshot sound
That clutch plate looked very good for 300K+, hard to say about the pressure plate (larger round component with the fingers). So yes, as previously mentioned the clutch master cylinder under the bonnet and the slave cylinder (the dark little black cylinder) did well to serve you for that long. The price seems reasonable for Thailand If you’re going to keep the car, I’d suggest getting the brake hoses replaced, if they haven’t been already. Or, simply have the brake master cylinder, soft hoses, and wheel cylinders replaced when you have the brakes done next. The disc brake callipers up front can just have a kit put through them. You’re obviously very easy on the clutch. Well done 👍🏻😎🏁 All the best Roland Sydney Australia Chiang Mai
Cheers Roland. Only had the brakes changed once. Have them checked quite regularly. Most of my driving is straight lines on a highway to Bangkok or Phitsanulok so the truck doesn't have too much strain on it. Thanks for the advice.👍🍺
I have serious neighbor paranoia in Thailand, not joking it really stresses me out. Without notice they may start a huge fire or blast loud music with no consideration to anyone around them. It really puts me on edge and can be hard to cope at times. Maybe I need to start drinking like you do. :)
@@jamesabroad8589 It's better to just go get a hotel if you have any notice. Last time a wedding happened no one told me and it was too late to find a room as they all closed. Annoying!
@@jamesabroad8589 I like your car too. I bought in 2002 the Ranger which was the same at that time and it never let me down for 15 years. I was sad that i had to sell it because i had to go home for family reasons. Now i´m back to thailand and bought the new model. So far i like it but for how long. Too much technology.
5555 Lazada looks like fun, great video James, love your house. My wife is from Rangsit, and her unit is not far from the University, alll the repairs on your car were very cheap compared to what that would cost in Australia probably $2000-$3000!
Great vlog James plenty of laughs 😄. I'm the same with the constant noise, but I stick with rain sounds off spotify! I hope you guys have "Midnight Run" on your 80s movie list!
Good video if you want to make another ? I have a really messy room you could come and sort out. You made me laugh with the kids sleep with their mom until their about forty becouse it's true. The ice in the beer sounds stange but once you start doing it it's hard to go back. Annie is a lovely young lady. 👍😎
You have created quite a beautiful bedroom/sitting room combination. (So sad that the garbage music blasting can drive one insane, even in the most beautiful of places.)
I love your humor, James. Too many farang don't know the real Thailand until they pay for the house and settle down. This time of year is the absolute worst, with the tokays, the cuckoos, the drought and, above all the incessant burning. I complain every day about the burning. We got a huge thunderstorm and a lot of rain here in Phetchabun last night, which shut up the tokays and the cuckoos, and the air quality was better today, so I went for my 8-mile run without an N95 pollution mask, finally. But it won't last because all the rural Thais need is one sunny day, and they'll all be right back to burning fields, burning trash and yard waste, and starting up those godawful underground charcoal pits that send toxic smoke out their stacks day and night. Some people (myself included when I first came to Thailand) think the Thais are all polite, quiet and reserved, sort of like the Japanese, but that can't be further from the truth. Whether it's a "tam boon," a wedding, a holiday, a "special Buddha day" (as my wife says), or even a funeral, the rural Thais love their loud music with its pounding bass and their karaoke parties day and night. I'm a regular ear plug wearer myself, but nothing stops the pounding vibration of a Thai sound system with the bass set to speaker-shattering levels. Now, despite all these complaints, I love living here in my wife's beautiful country, and I have no regrets for retiring here instead of in the US. 😊
Just came across some of your videos, I like your cheeky chappie cockney narrative. Your house is lovely, and a good sized plot too. Very luxurious, great master bedroom, must have cost a fortune, were you rich in England so you can afford to live well there in a very early retirement? Ew, didn't like that mass of maggots thingys that the storm blew in, do they go away on their own or do you have to brush them up and bin them? 20 years you have lived there, where is your wife, yes I am nosey? Hi to your lovely daughter, I will look for her business video, she has done well for herself and I take it you see her weekly?
They were very good last year. Had issues with a local guy so stuck with Mazda. Clutch feels great but will be looking for alternatives. Hope your well mate.👍🍺
Rural life is totally different from the towns or cities my nearest 7/11 is 40km away no deliveries. With out transport i would be cut off i hate the large geckos normally get a local to catch them and release them at the temple my village normally had st some point music playing with the Bass full up then you have the head man on the local loud speakers village life isn't quiet but you can go crazy being the only frang and soeaking the lingo all ways enjoy you videos great content

14.300 Baht for a clutch and change is a friggin bargain!!!!!! I cant stand seeing european prices and knowing that everything is so insane much cheaper in Thailand/Asia compared to the ripoff we get here in europe!!!! Looking forward to seeing that house you were talking about.. It is the best part seeing your house tours, but they are in strong competition with those boxers!!!

£306 for a clutch is unheard of in the U.K. James. Our 16 year old Audi cost £1200 to do last year. Love your videos, keep up your great work.
