First time I've actually hoped the show is fully staged.
Yeah, it was already uncomfortable enough but once it got to the "touch their abs to identify your own son" part my face was frozen in a curled lip of disgust.

That woman who guessed her son immediately gets credit because she just touched his shoulders and not groped him so it really wasn't that creepy, just means she hugs her son. Everything else, though... really doesn't save much face either way.

I have gone 10+ years without consuming any form of reality TV. I haven't had any interest or desire to take part in it beyond watching RUclipsrs talk about it and make reviews of it. Now, because of you, I have to watch this insane show. And I hate myself for it. I hope you're happy.

The thing is, I'm not sure the "double standard" they talk about really holds up these days. Pretty sure there's been a backlash about older men dating younger women, so at the very least it's a contentious issue rather than being just accepted. Like, I can't imagine this show being made with a group of older guys and their daughters without some serious negative reactions.

TLC knows damn well how moms can get when it comes to being protective of their sons. I don't even have children but I can already tell these women are going to scratch each other's eyes out to protect their sons from whatever woman they see as a threat to their baby.

I mean I understand that people might not feel like that when they're in their 40s, but I hope they've decided not to have kids then. My mom had me when she was 27, which is a pretty normal age to have kids. But she wasn't prepared to be a parent, and I grew up with no parental guidance, which had horrible consequences. Lucky to be alive rn tbh

The whole "Society looks down on a older woman with a younger man blah, blah, blah," irks me so much. It literally could not be further from the truth. An older man dates a younger woman, the majority of people think he's a creep. When it's the other way around, you get a goddamn tv show.

Have you seen the Pressure cooker on Netflix? Imagine Survivor mixed with a cooking show. It takes what makes those two concepts good and throws it out the window. This show is super weird and creepy. I don’t understand how there isn’t more backlash, they’re literally dating people the same age as their mom/son. On like the 3rd ep they have people older than their mom and younger than their son! This whole show is just so weird

Finding someone with a matching libido on top of everything else a relationship needs is legit hard. I’ve found some absolutely amazing women but having dramatically different libidos means there will inevitably be problems if monogamous.
Some of these women are scaring me about getting older…they try so hard to look/act younger, like desperately clawing their way back in time.

On the one hand, this show and the concept behind it is genuinely terrible, like not even bottom-of-the-barrel, but digging the earth BENEATH said barrel garbage. I am cringing every time I see a clip from this.
However, this s**t is also COMEDY GOLD. I am laughing from the sheer ridiculousness of it all. Because I watch these kinds of shows to laugh and watch mess. Heck, even if somehow I were to BE on one of these shows, it would be to watch the mess unfold. Dinner and a show! I would just sit in a corner with a glass of wine😂.
