Just saw these cats at the Blue Plum Festival in Johnson City last night and I am now a bluegrass fan. Magical combination of musical talent and showmanship!
This group may be somewhat unknown but it has some real talent. I particularly like the banjo player, fast playing, always on time and in tune but all are A+.
Good musicians, lots of talent! Hopeful they’ll not blend in too much in this oversaturated Billy strings®️ hippie bluegrass market. For a break and to see more modern traditional stuff see Mr Workman, Mr Hensley, Matt Flinner, etc.
Very talented musicians obviously BUT, you don't need to reinvent the wheel on songs that people love and this did not sound like Ruben's Train at all. It sounded like overly talented musicians not knowing how to play a tune normally.
OH GAWD! Another Tradgrasser stuck on how "BIll would've done it". Stick with the out-of-tune crap that almost killed bluegrass. You obviously wouldn't enjoy BIlly Strings although MILLIONS have come to the genre thru HIM!
Can't wait for Denver!
Beastly
Oh yeah, catching this 🔥 in Boulder!!
Boulder? I am going to see them in Denver? Is there a show I don't know about?

Lots of talent but I can’t dig the electronics. Better than modern country.
