- Finally made a vid of the exhaust on my car. Less than $200 and several hours of effort. Uses modified DC sport tips purchased form advance auto

Sounds amazing! Thinking about buying one, as this is one of the few affordable v8 engined cars to me in Germany. With taxes, maintenance and all of that.

I have a 1999 430. Ive owned AMGS but for the price the 430 is amazing. Yours sounds incredible. Im going to emulate your idea! Also have you ever thought about installing a DTE pedal hookup? Acceleration response time is much faster.
I will have to look into that. Ever since I bought this car, ive wanted to swap in the 5.4 AMG motor, which would require custom tuning anyway

I currently just have a muffler delete on my ML430 and its just kicked out the side. Just got pipe today to delete secondary cats and reconnect the rear section of exhaust to get it back over the axle and out the rear. Should be louder outside and quieter inside.

Im pretty sure the exhaust is setup the same, but will have a different sound

I just punched out the material inside so the shell was intact
Did u have to cut the reae bumper so the other tips can fit ?
Yea I cut an identical notch on the other side and ran the pipe behind the bumper

Very similar setup. I just cut the mufflers off, the stock resonator is still there

No cats, but that didn't really affect the sound much

it was about $70 usd for just the tips, i cant remember how much the pipe was but it was inexpensive and i welded it myself

Im pretty sure it was from Summit racing, i think around $40

Are all 4 cats deleted? If so, did you get the check engine light to go out?
Yes all 4. The secondary cats were replaced with an X pipe. Those don't have any o2 sensors. You can get an o2 sensor extender to keep the CEL from coming on
Sounds beautiful, I do wonder however why you lift off the throttle when shifting the auto trans?

Came with the car, i think they are off a newer E class. Fitment was perfect. Wider than stock but not crazy offset

Still the factory auto gearbox but I like to drive it in manual mode

Pretty sure it was a universal weld in x pipe from summit racing

@@nicholasrodriguez587 I think the wheels are off a newer E class AMG, they came with the car, 18x9 front 18x10 rear. Tires are 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear. The fronts are too big, shoulda stuck with a 235

that's a tight clk...no emission testing?
every 2 years, but i have the CEL eliminators which seem to do the trick

@@blarence7323 theres no pipe sniff test here, as long as the CEL is off and the computer thinks the cats are working then itll pass
