If you ask the woman if she's alright the guy will just get up and say "bro you talkin' to my girl huh?" and then if you went at him she gets involved and you're back to the issue everyone else had.
Situation with the toxic couple was way too real, I have seen this things so many times. Actually this happened a couple weeks ago. A man grabbed his wife by the throat, multiple men stepped in and were cursed out by the woman, who continued to leave with her abusive man. It was insane.
I think sometimes talking or yelling at the attacker before getting physical can be good. If he is hurting her one should intervene if one can but also know that she might take his side and that complicates things because she should not be hit but neutralized or contained without injury. Which might be very difficult to do all at once. So one would most likely take her hits without retaliating . Thing is if he stops and they leave together, things would most certainly keep going that way. So... in the end in my opinion 1) intervene if you can to stop someone being harmed 2) if possible get footage, evidence of other witnesses or cameras and report the attacker, make it known online, etc. This applies to any crime, people forget or don't take into account that if there are no consequences the perpetrator or criminal will keep going in the future..
In the head of the girl the guy is probably empowering her, like if she is riding a horse and making the power of the horse that of herself. A lot of women like aggressive men cause of that. Its not called man handled for nothing.

Seems Jesse is having the same issue as Ramsey Dewey, where he tries to get the sympathy of potential attackers, which is a great technique in real life, but in the scenarios the role-players are just instructed to attack no matter what.
AND letting attackers to actually attack in surprise attack challenge, while Jeff Chan and some others went for punches even before the attacker touched them.
Yeah, in real life, most of his tactics would work, same with Ranton and Craig Some of the assailants are given a single directive and they just focus on it
@@meodracI agree, even in Shank Tank, those dudes go all in without any fear, but in real life, if they receive a strike, they will think twice about attacking relentlessly.

I really think referring to Natan as "UFC Fighter" really covers up the fact that he's a military veteran from a high-tension area. The military really stresses on stuff like "situational awareness" and "attention to detail", as well as split second decision making and thinking through persistent stress and exhaustion (all militaries focus on these by the way). These are also the same reasons I think Craig does so well - being a trucker and clearly the kind of guy who gets around - he's more or less been forced to also learn these traits. I'd also expect seasoned prison guards similar types to do rather well (as long as they aren't cocky/overly aggressive) and given other variables like weapons training, equipment, and increased size/strength you can make someone who's going to be incredibly effective in self defense scenarios. Adding on MMA or Judo on these people make them more effective, but lacking those core mental and cultural traits can make any of these situations extremely hard to come out on top. I really want to see them add a HEMA fighter and a fencer to one of these - see how much pressure-tested weapons training may or may not make a difference.
I'm torn. Jesse is my favorite martial arts content creator, Ranton is the funniest, Natan is the man, but Craig is "Ordinary Guy" you did such a great line-up. I am loving this series.
Just goes to show that self-defense is about more than just fighting. Great video, as always, Sensei. Also, big props to Ranton, my Shao lin brother. But all of you guys are amazing.
Rokas, your skill at scripting, editing, and producing your videos is genuinely excellent. I don't know if you have the interest in making a career of it (and I have no clue how hard it is to break into the industry), but you surely have the skill for it. Way better scripting and editing than what I see on Netflix reality shows. The only little piece of critique I would have on this episode (and please don't let this ruin your day because the episode is sitll a 9/10 and you are still awesome at this) is that I would like to see more on the scoring breakdown. Hearing from Jeff (and you) as to WHY the competitors were scored as they were helps TEACH us. I think a lot of the youtube community is here for entertainment AND education, and so the more opportunities we have to learn, the better. Keep up the great work. You're crushing it.
With respect to Jesse & Ranton, I understood their logic to diffuse the situation. For anyone watching, no kind of orientation excuses any kind of harassment. Know your boundaries.

Love how regular guy Craig is described as UFC Natan’s rival 😂 never would have guessed, but they are two of my favorites in the roster so I’m so here for it.
13:01 working at a general store I’ve seen this from the same couple multiple times, there’s a sad reason why our best option is to just get both of them out of the store, at the end of the day it’s not our job to get you out of the situation you’ve chosen repeatedly
i think jesse and craig did the best in scenario 3, they were able to stay within the limits of their comfort without having to react violently which in every other case caused escalation. whilst i agree you shouldn't let people do this to you, i think its up to each person to be able to assess their level of comfort when dealing with a scenario like this and being able to react accordingly whilst keeping themselves safe, i think the scoring system for this was incorrect from a personal standpoint, granted each person is different and had this been real the reactions may have been very different, ultimately you want to avoid violent confrontation.
Aye. Always have to think about how these things would be assessed from the point of law, too. The other guy has bruises on their face, maybe some swelling. You have a story about how they were sexually harassing you, but they could argue that while they were making a pass at you, they were not being aggressive and you simply attacked them for their sexuality. It might not play very well at all in court
The scoring doesn't seem to be that detailed for this one. Also, preventing physical confrontation is the best for me. As Fern said, unless you are forced to a physical confrontation, the narrative could be turned either way. Even if the situation is forced in that direction, you have to make sure that it would be evident that they're the aggressor with you not using excessive force.
Aussie guy was the best here again. Anyone who fought the guy with a needle in his hand now has Hepatitis A-Z. He took the needle away, avoided beating the guy that came on to him, and didn't fight the guy with the knife. Clear winner.
I really like Jessie (tbf i like all these guys), so this might just be me glazzing, but he shouldn't be marked down for the couples thing. He didn't involve himself with their situation at all. The guy involved Jessie in their thing, and he defended himself from both the man and the women.
I don't know, if I'm in public and a man is beating me up I'd REALLY hope someone at least asks me if i need help. Yeah there's abusive relationships that can lead to results like this scenario, but there's better solutions than just do nothing
I'm not even sure what the actual goal of the challenge was? Like Natan got up and moved but, nothing says the junkie wouldn't have followed him IRL whereas everyone else but, Jeff tried to de-escalate but, was unable to. Craig and Jesse being most effective at then dealing with that.
@@TGPDrunknHick Honestly the first season felt more "self defense" based than this one imo. This one feels more like a fight simulator with the participants just switching environments. The scoring is all over the place as well, which I know is difficult to perfect but it lacks consistency and clear rules. Overall I think the 1st season was better though it still had it's flaws, where as this one feels like a downgrade and is basically just promoting violence really instead of good decision making.
This part made very clear a very important point. Don’t let someone switch seats next to you. If they are sitting down somewhere else there’s no reason to come next to you (if you don’t know them). Also as an extra, idk if they were force by scenario to sit at the window, but since self defence is mainly about not being there they should at least be allowed to pick the seat that’s on the exterior or stand up. Good lessons in retrospect.
@@kevintse2870 not really, that situation would fall under sexual harrassment and forceful conduct... the possible legal complications can EASILY be recompiled and twisted against said harasser if youre smart enough...
Is their job to test decision making or sell pens? 6:44 I love how both Karate Black belts had the exact same plan. High ground and side kicks 😂
Even better was how that attacker wasn't even remotely in frame after taking those kicks. They straight up Super Smash Bro'ed him 🤣
11:44 pulling guard is crazyyyy
I lmao tbh xD
It eas the funniest one xP
Look at the people on the back seats xP
Situation with the toxic couple was way too real, I have seen this things so many times. Actually this happened a couple weeks ago. A man grabbed his wife by the throat, multiple men stepped in and were cursed out by the woman, who continued to leave with her abusive man. It was insane.
Stockholm Syndrome heh
The women have the illusion of control and manipulation while shoving away the imminent danger for themselves.
Not worth helping them. They will call the police because their bf is beating them drunk but turn on the police as soon as they arrive.
Can't believe season 2 is coming to an end already 😢😢😢 But what a damn ride! I'm gonna binge both seasons afterwards
Awesome!
@@MartialArtsJourney I have to say scorin at the end was pretty poorly explained not the usual breakdown I expected.
@@MartialArtsJourney To that end, could you put all of the videos from season 1 into the season 1 playlist? There are currently only 2 videos in that playlist. Thank you! 🙏
Man, I hope we get a season 3. This is peak content!
On scenario 4, Craig deserves the best score. He scared the man without hurting him and upsetting the lady too much
🤙🏻
Seems Jesse is having the same issue as Ramsey Dewey, where he tries to get the sympathy of potential attackers, which is a great technique in real life, but in the scenarios the role-players are just instructed to attack no matter what.
Yes, also I felt bad for how much of a disadvantage Mr. Dewey was at being blind in one eye.
AND letting attackers to actually attack in surprise attack challenge, while Jeff Chan and some others went for punches even before the attacker touched them.
Yeah, in real life, most of his tactics would work, same with Ranton and Craig
Some of the assailants are given a single directive and they just focus on it
@@meodracI agree, even in Shank Tank, those dudes go all in without any fear, but in real life, if they receive a strike, they will think twice about attacking relentlessly.
My boy Craig's gonna take the whole comp, mark my words!
Hell yeah. Team Craig 100%.
Na Nathan negs
If he does that shows that you don't need martial arts to survive the streets. I can not wait until the final episode. to see if he Wins I am rooting for him.

I really want to see them add a HEMA fighter and a fencer to one of these - see how much pressure-tested weapons training may or may not make a difference.
scholagladiatoria would be HILARIOUS in this
His situational awareness is very good, like the opposite end of the scale of Ranton
Would love to see a HEMA fighter in one of these. Or one of those guys that fight in full armor battles
@@Jza_Dragonhahaha definitely
Probably because murdering children has nothing to do with self defense.
BWAHAHAA "you go back to most basic instincts: Knee n Kicks" xD

Haha same
I'm torn. Jesse is my favorite martial arts content creator, Ranton is the funniest, Natan is the man, but Craig is "Ordinary Guy" you did such a great line-up. I am loving this series.
🤙🏻
@@CraigHunterTheRegAussieBloke Craig, it's an honor. You are no ordinary man, and I am so impressed with you. You are a legend. I hope you win!
Natan dealing with the 2 on 1 situation like a champ was amazing to see
I'd catch a bus with Natan any time. Incredible dude.
Just goes to show that self-defense is about more than just fighting. Great video, as always, Sensei. Also, big props to Ranton, my Shao lin brother. But all of you guys are amazing.
4:15 "he treated the junkie like a person before the tsunami of downward elbows. therefore, he got minimal points this round"
You're crushing it.
you should make a podcast with all the fighters befor and after the season, or just after. would be a intresting podcast to watch
Agreed. Rokas should definitely do a post-show interview of sorts.
Have the season 1 cast as well
"Jeff Chan - Where is he now?"
"Jeff Chan has been convicted with seven charges of Aggravated Assault."
Ayyyo the pull guard. Pauuuuse 😂😂😂😂😂
With respect to Jesse & Ranton, I understood their logic to diffuse the situation. For anyone watching, no kind of orientation excuses any kind of harassment. Know your boundaries.
the truck driver is a tough bloke, he does not shy away from a scrap, never underestimate truck drivers 😂

the man is here lmao
this show made me want to learn self defense, I jumped in it recently and im learning boxing, got a feel for combos this week, rest day today and we're back to work tomorrow, gonna try focuses on my foot work and head movement, and making sure not to slack on my punches. hope yall have a blessed day, dont forget to eat good yall.

Wow. Natan did a great job! I died with Ranton and Jesse getting freaky and playing with the harasser.... LOL I think either they didn't take it seriously, or they are a bit "too friendly" prone, specially Jesse XD
Gotta say Natan is tha man with these challenges. He shows that when you really do have to defend yourself, come in strong to get the upper hand and do your best not to drop your advantage.
Rokas, I hope you keep this up and do Season 3! I would love to see these other RUclipsrs (ranked according to their subscribers) in future seasons:

at 15:10 Jesse involvment was not messsy at all, it was clear He got attack first by the guy and the woman.
Yeah, but it'll get blurry in court. The best way is to avoid attacking the woman at any cost, even if it sucks
@@soep19 bus cam would help him make a good case I reckon.
@@soep19 Well he got witnesses in a bus.
omg Natan vs Jeff is about to be absolute PEAK
You can watch them sparring in Jeff's channel! Amazing video
Liked the multiple scenarios on a bus better than just fighting on a bus - keeps the contestants (and the viewers) guessing.
Agreed. And thank you for your support!
This series is one of the best things on youtube, thanks so much for organizing this and putting it together
We need a kickstarter so we get more seasons faster
Natan Levy has a great sidekick!
This is probably the best thing I seen in awhile. Great job keep making more of these
This is so addictive, you are definitely onto something that could be big. Well done.
Love how regular guy Craig is described as UFC Natan’s rival 😂 never would have guessed, but they are two of my favorites in the roster so I’m so here for it.
🤙🏻
The legend himself! Awesome you were a part of the series, mate, changed the whole game. Cheers
This is one of the best shows on RUclips right now. Loving the scenarios.
I'm glad everybody is alive and well, so we know all competetors survived the fight with Levy.
"I pull guard on you" XD
13:01 working at a general store I’ve seen this from the same couple multiple times, there’s a sad reason why our best option is to just get both of them out of the store, at the end of the day it’s not our job to get you out of the situation you’ve chosen repeatedly
Love this series! Hope it has a long running tenure of seasons!
I just found this series and love it!
The quality is insane!!
Let’s go Craig!
👍
These concepts are really mindblowing and creative man and I see a huge improvement from season 1. Props for the team and the fighters♥
Craig is redeeming Australia for all the Raygun jokes they’ve had to deal with this year.
😂😂😂😂😂
i think jesse and craig did the best in scenario 3, they were able to stay within the limits of their comfort without having to react violently which in every other case caused escalation. whilst i agree you shouldn't let people do this to you, i think its up to each person to be able to assess their level of comfort when dealing with a scenario like this and being able to react accordingly whilst keeping themselves safe, i think the scoring system for this was incorrect from a personal standpoint, granted each person is different and had this been real the reactions may have been very different, ultimately you want to avoid violent confrontation.
🍻
Yeah I agree, scoring was a bit inconsistent this time.
Nah me and that guy are throwing hands if he starts touching me
Please make the videos an hour long. I would love to hear more from all the martial artists.
“You gay? ME TOO!” Nice try but he should be glad he didn’t say that. In real life he would be wondering how the guy started kissing him.
The most innocent monk moment so far. Like "Ranton, that is NOT THE WAY..."
yeah, not to mention the violated guys hotline that is existing in some countries, he would have given him a free pass with that
This is the best show I have watched on youtube. Well thought out and depicts aspects of self defence that are rearly talken abt 10/10
Aussie guy was the best here again. Anyone who fought the guy with a needle in his hand now has Hepatitis A-Z. He took the needle away, avoided beating the guy that came on to him, and didn't fight the guy with the knife. Clear winner.
🤙🏻
I really like Jessie (tbf i like all these guys), so this might just be me glazzing, but he shouldn't be marked down for the couples thing. He didn't involve himself with their situation at all. The guy involved Jessie in their thing, and he defended himself from both the man and the women.
I don't know, if I'm in public and a man is beating me up I'd REALLY hope someone at least asks me if i need help. Yeah there's abusive relationships that can lead to results like this scenario, but there's better solutions than just do nothing
I think craig should have been 1st for taking the needle out of play almost instantly.
Same here. He risked only when he needed, and wasn't unreasonably aggressive before being provoked (he didn't strike first, when he doesn't need it).
🤙🏻
I'm not even sure what the actual goal of the challenge was? Like Natan got up and moved but, nothing says the junkie wouldn't have followed him IRL whereas everyone else but, Jeff tried to de-escalate but, was unable to. Craig and Jesse being most effective at then dealing with that.
@@TGPDrunknHick nah but they instead still glaze Natan, it doesn't make sense
@@TGPDrunknHick Honestly the first season felt more "self defense" based than this one imo. This one feels more like a fight simulator with the participants just switching environments. The scoring is all over the place as well, which I know is difficult to perfect but it lacks consistency and clear rules.
Overall I think the 1st season was better though it still had it's flaws, where as this one feels like a downgrade and is basically just promoting violence really instead of good decision making.
Great series, love it! Just like the last season. Thank you for creating this masterpiece
If there were no cameras rolling, Jesse would’ve taken that guy home with him 😂
Natan will probably win, and it's well-deserved, but Craig is still my favorite.
🍻
This part made very clear a very important point. Don’t let someone switch seats next to you. If they are sitting down somewhere else there’s no reason to come next to you (if you don’t know them).
Also as an extra, idk if they were force by scenario to sit at the window, but since self defence is mainly about not being there they should at least be allowed to pick the seat that’s on the exterior or stand up.
Good lessons in retrospect.
What?! Can you give the timeframe? Somebody might be sitting in one spot, not like somebody near them and come sit next to somebody else.
How tf did Nathan outperform Jeff in the harassment scenario? Jeff got out of the situation without throwing a punch!
cant exactly harass someone if youre out cold...
@@crustybomb115 but he got his nuts grabbed, he got kicked in the nuts, and knocking someone out comes with legal complications.
@@kevintse2870 not really, that situation would fall under sexual harrassment and forceful conduct... the possible legal complications can EASILY be recompiled and twisted against said harasser if youre smart enough...
Is their job to test decision making or sell pens? I think the people or person that deescalated the situation while maintaining clear boundaries should have scored the highest in the sexual assault on the bus & I think that was Jeff, the other UCF fighter, Nathan, did great with the addict. It’s interesting because it kinda shows who has been in those types of situations before & what type of mindsets they hold…. Natan is really interesting
There's a trophy for using the self defense pen. So yes, selling pens and self defense scenarios all at the same time.
I decided to rewatch the other episodes while I'm waiting for the season 2 finale and im really happy to see that season has a lot more views than season 1! You certainly deserve that growth! Great effort
Thanks!
I love how jesse always try to be polite and when provoke always go full 100%.If there is another season I am curious how a person who have big muscle defense itself from this different scenarios and how large body can impact to self defense.
Can’t wait the final episode, … but somehow I am very sad about it as well.🙃 Rokas, you really nailed it; you absolutely maxed out the limits of RUclips videos.🙇 I hope that there will be a 3rd season!
