- Today on JD Cars we are installing a 402 Innovations low profile turn single & integrated taillight kit. This kit upgrades the front turn signals to highly visible LEDs, and it also upgrades the taillight to a model with integrated turn signals. This allows us to fully remove the rear fender while still retaining turn signals. Overall, I am very happy with this kit and I would highly recommend it to all Grom owners. I have been looking at one of these for a while now just for some fun. I never knew about the fender eliminator for these. That is the one part that always bothered me, but now it looks 1000% better with the new exhaust!
Just wait until you change out the carburetor for a performance one. It livens it up quite a bit with a proper exhaust. But the best mod is yet to come. Swapping out the motor for a ZS190 motor!
One word of advice, you may eventually, maybe even at the same time as the carb, swap out all the fuel lines with high quality silicone fuel lines. In the pass the original ones flaked from the inside which can gum up the motor. The stock lines have improved since then, but it is cheap to do and gives good peace of mind.
The fender eliminator definitely makes a HUGE difference.

Is there an actual led flash plug for the relay on the boom vader? I’m doing sequential turn signals but can’t seem to find the relay plug. Please any advice or pointers on where to look would help me big time. Thanks
So the relay doesn't need to be changed? I have a 2022 clone, iv seen vids of a real Grom an the relay must be changed on those

Happy to help! The plate was mounted up to a thin strip of the rear subframe that stuck down. It may be shown up-close in another one of our grom clone videos.
What's the diagram for the stock clone wires?
I’m new to motorcycles can you make a video on how you transferred the stock connectors to the new lights?
Sorry, I no longer have the bike. The process is simple: cut the stock connectors off, cut the new light connectors off and solder/crimp the stock connectors on.
How will i get it registered without a way of putting on a plate

I’m still waiting for my gen 2 Honda Grom clone but it got stuck in customs been 3 months and still haven’t gotten mine can’t wait until it comes in

How did u take the connectors from the stock turn signals to the flush mount ones so they can plug in?
I cut them and then soldered to the new lights
How about the license plate? Where did you end up placing it?
I actually ended up drilling two small holes in a flange of the frame and managed to mount my license plate there.

where is the plate
It screws into the little tab coming off the frame
"If you're looking to improve safety and functionality of your bike." If you care about safety, you wouldn't put those dang low profile turn signals on the front of your bike. In tthe video at 9:13 I couldnt tell that the turn signal was on at all and I was looking for them! A distracted driver definitely won't see them. Sweet bike but man, I'm so tired of people putting those worthless turn signals on their bikes.
