Fantastisches Bühnenbild-für immer unvergesslich !!!Bayreuth als es noch nicht verdorben war!!Und natürlich Bernd Weikl auch!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bernd Weikl - for me the perfect realization of Hans Sachs! Unforgettable.....
Wagner's grand-son Wolfgang Wagner makes Beckmesser and Sachs shake hands at 6:30. Nice cameo :-)
A beautiful gesture.
Beautiful. The German people have constantly created some of the best music in history.
Thank you but most of us are pretty dumb and don't undestand culture
What an incredible voice
Yes..... far far better than James Morris' 2001 Met performance (flat). He puts real conviction into it.
@@OpusDogi Nothing tops Morris when it comes to Wagner he was a most excellent singer. But Weikl is very nice too.
The sound is STUNNING👏👏
What a great voice !
best meistersinger ever
The Glory of Music
*This was also nearly 30 years ago... the recent 'Meistersinger' courtesy of Katarina & Co is nauseating.
The last one from Kosky was even worse, lol.
Nearly 40 now
beautifuil music and singers fantastic.....
This can't be a Bayreuth production it looks too much like a Wagner opera!
LOL LOL LOL
Lolol
Actually, it is, because Wolfgang Wagner in person is the one who in the background makes Sachs shake hands with - is it Beckmesser?
@@flemmingdalsgaard3231 Yes, Hermann Prey.
@hundingwelser
Weikl is a GREAT Wagnerian singer BUT I think the 2005 Met Meistersinger with James Levine conducting James Morris as Hans Sacks, Ben Heppner as Walther, Karita Mattila as Eva and Thomas Allen as Beckmesser is a "mehr besser" production and DVD.
ALL good, though. thanks for posting, ximowb
Thank you for the video...is amazing!
I was searching it!
Wau, way back..As I Have Mentioned: Bernard Weikl's Hans Sachs...in many ways the most influential operatic performance I Ever Saw
I wish it had English subtitles for those unfamiliar with the libretto.
この動画のレーザーディスク持ってます✨

死ぬ前に1度はバイロイト祭で生演奏を聞きたいです("⌒∇⌒")
Amazonとかに中古でありますか?
@@200gb3 you can find the full opera on RUclips “die meistersinger Bayreuth 1984”
Another sign that it is quite old: the simple exchange of manly handshakes instead of embracing like footballers and film stars do these days.
Weikl - a true singer and actor.
Excellent
at the end Wolfgang Wagner is there too, about 6.25
M’agrada aquesta versió.
That Weikl sure has a virile, manly stage presence--and great voice/actor, of course.
Sublim.
Yes that's Wolfgang.
First time in my life I am forced to write: LOL!!!!! Thanks.
Why does he hang the wreath up there at the end????
4:35 chorus
@adamastorBassBar INDEED!!! Good spotting!
@zdenko1945 ????
East Germany? West Germany?
West Germany
Blieb sie "doch" deutsch und wahr... Leider falsch gesungen...
Un peu délavé...L'oeuvre reste l'attraction.
