I’ve made so many of these, I make blankets that I donate to hospitals for parents that have lost their babies. One change I’ve made, Instead of a magic ring, I like to use a chain 4 ring, it makes a much sturdier connection when you add the border. Thanks for all your ❤❤ Toni and back atcha!
I just finished this project. Making it for a friend going through cancer treatment, so I used the same Mandela Ombré color as you did! Love the colors and they have a very upbeat feel! Great pattern, as always, and I absolutely love the border! It was so easy crocheting the first round of the border with 2 crochets in each row end. Then the slip stitch, double crochet row is just like little baby clouds. It is just perfect for this blanket!!
WOW! You are SUCH an excellent teacher! No random side comments, you don’t “rush” through the steps and what comments you do make are short and sweet!! I AM SO HAPPY I FINALLY FOUND YOUR CHANNEL (can you tell I’m a beginner? Lol)!! I see myself spending a LOT of time on your channel… 😁
This is a beautiful pattern, thank you for making it available. I'm especially impressed with the quality of this video. Very clear, calm and thorough. Fantastic! Thank you.
I must admit that I have hated Granny squares for the longest time. I found them boring. I have been told many times by school teachers, friends etc, that really haven't done my " talent" to good use. WHATEVER!!! LOL!!! I have strived to do more difficult patterns. When I don't get them done in time (ie baby") I absolutely hate this loss of time. I simply stop after a bit. Grrrrr. I'm going to give this one a try!!! Btw, I absolutely LOVE you. You're easy to listen to and I feel like I COULD do whatever you show!!! You're easy to to watch and try what you share. Thank you ever so very much!!
Aloha Toni 🌈 I was just looking at a Lion Brand Mandala Ombre at Walmart. I thought of just buying cause I rarely see new yarns here on the islands. Very unfortunate that I don't have the pleasure of just running to a Michaels or Joann's when I am in need of yarns. Well, I didn't purchase coz I wasn't sure what to make with them. Then, I came across this 🤦♀️UGGHH!!! Well, I will go back there coz I need to try to make this beauty. Mahalo nu'i loa, Toni❣️😘
I just finished my Daphne baby blanket and it’s so beautiful!! I made it as a gift but ordering more yarn to make another for my daughter. Thanks Toni!
Thank you for sharing. As a long time fan of the basic granny square, I enjoy seeing variations of it. The border is one that I have to try soon. Your finished blanket is gorgeous!
I loved making this blanket. I had some Barnet Velvet yarn (the yarn is a bit difficult to work with) and it made an absolutely gorgeous blanket!!! I only changed the pattern slightly by using a zigzag stitch to join the triangles. Which looked great in the color accent color. I can't wait to give this to the expectant mother!
That’s what I do as well. And making a smaller blanket is easy as well, just cut back on the rows. I also like to make some rows of half doubles, it makes the stripes narrower and adds interest
Another great video. Instruction is clear and easy to follow. Your stitches are so even and beautiful. I will be doing this one. Thanks again for another great video.
Hi Tone getting ready to make this project and watched the video wow you are the best at explaining every step thanks so much for your time and effort and you’ve made this old gal very excited to begin the project checking out all your videos thank you Debbie at the Canadian crocheter for mentioning your pattern and utube channel❤️❤️
I make my magic circle the exact same way! I too detest the "Granny Square" , however, using the triangles, colors of yarn, and that "Cloud" like edging? Simply beautiful! You really have a knack for choosing the right color palette for all your creations!
This is so pretty and a very good project to use leftover yarn which I have a lot😂 the border is a good technique looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing sear and stay safe, love from Miami💖💖💕
I love this so much. I have one triangle done so far in just one evening, and I’m a slow crocheter because I’m a beginner. It’s a breeze to work on while watching tv. :)
What do you do with the grey ends on the edge of the blanket that span over the accent color? The ones that result from not cutting color a when you switch colors on the edge. They seem dangerously short to cut. I’m new to projects like this!
MomIB999 seems like purple would be fun then, you could do something like blue, purple and red/pink, or the same idea with green or orange would be fun.
MsAKiddo Great! Thanks. This is for a miracle baby, for a married couple who thought they were sterile, gave up on ever having children, and she is now 2 months pregnant. They are overjoyed. Fingers crossed it goes well.
@@MomIB999 I am sure they will love whatever you make them! I think the color combo of the original blanket in the blog is actually really gender neutral and fun so that might be an easy start too.
MomIB999 I personally love the colors she chose to use in the video. That kind of seafoam and coral. I think that would be a perfect gender neutral colorway. I’ll keep the expectant couple in my prayers. What an amazing gift, when so much craziness is going on, they are being blessed. Amazing news. Thank you for sharing!! Anything will be loved and cherished because you made it with your two hands out of love! ❤️
I’m getting ready to order yarn and I’m wondering if you used the mandala ombré yarn do you cut the color when you switch back to the basic color or if it just works out with this pattern? Thanks!
I wanted all triangles to be identical, so I wound up separating out the yarn in their color sections and winding them into smaller balls it was time consuming but worth it 😀
I’ve made so many of these, I make blankets that I donate to hospitals for parents that have lost their babies. One change I’ve made, Instead of a magic ring, I like to use a chain 4 ring, it makes a much sturdier connection when you add the border. Thanks for all your ❤❤ Toni and back atcha!

I don’t normally copy patterns exactly. I usually use them for inspiration. However, this lady comes along and I wouldn’t change a thing!

I wanted to say that you are one of my ultimate favorite people to watch on RUclips for all things crochet
Excellent video! I wish you would have shared your weaving in the ends trick you've learned. Other than that........perfect!!😊
This looks like a fantastic pattern. Now to figure out your trick on weaving ends in. I hate weaving ends. LOL
This is a beautiful pattern, thank you for making it available. I'm especially impressed with the quality of this video. Very clear, calm and thorough. Fantastic! Thank you.
I love this pattern so much. I’ve made so many of these blankets 🥰
Since finding this pattern a month ago I have made several of these! I love making them and they are so pretty!
Best magic ring tutorial I've seen so far. So easy to remember.
I absolutely love this pattern, the colors you have chosen and your calming knowledgeable guidance! You are easily my favorite crochet artist.
I must admit that I have hated Granny squares for the longest time. I found them boring. I love this! I’m making the blanket for my 93 yr old Aunt, thanks so much for designing and kindly sharing this pattern❤
It’s really pretty live the border.
I really liked this tutorial. Looks easy. Gonna try it for my next project
Perfect!! Clear, easy and no bla bla bla. Exactly what I'm looking for x

❤absolutely love this. I’m gonna make a coastal/nautical blanket for my niece for her graduation 👩🎓.
Thank you! I'm just stitching mine together! This has been a joy to make!
I just made this afghan, baby blanket size. so quick and fun pattern to follow!! Thanks Toni!
I just said I was going to give myself a break crocheting, but this is beautiful!!
I know just how you feel..
Just saw this spin on the Granny stripe blanket, and I love it. I just enjoy your tutorial you make it so easy ❤
Thank you I've wanted to make this type of baby blanket.
What a great design. Thank you for sharing. 😊
My pleasure! It's one of my favorites. I'm glad you like it :-)
Wauw i love it so much! Just bought some yarn and i gonna make this blanket
Just finished my second Daphne afghan! I love them! Thank you so much!!
Hi, did you end up using all three Mandala cakes? I just finished the four triangles and have a full cake left. Wonder if I missed something?
Thank you for sharing. As a long time fan of the basic granny square, I enjoy seeing variations of it. The border is one that I have to try soon. Your finished blanket is gorgeous!
Love this baby blanket…you have the best crochet videos always consistent and precise instructions
I’ve followed you on IG for some time now, and I am so excited to start this blanket!
I wanted to know if I can add more rolls if want?❤
I loved making this blanket. I had some Barnet Velvet yarn (the yarn is a bit difficult to work with) and it made an absolutely gorgeous blanket!!! Love this! Simple, but with a twist & not too many ends to sew in.... yay!🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
How would i convert this to a larger blanket
You can make the triangles bigger or you can keep making rounds of a granny stitch border or any other border you like
That’s what I do as well. And making a smaller blanket is easy as well, just cut back on the rows. I also like to make some rows of half doubles, it makes the stripes narrower and adds interest
Okay, thanks!
You're a really wonderful teacher
Another great video. Instruction is clear and easy to follow. Your stitches are so even and beautiful. I will be doing this one. Thanks again for another great video.

This is gorgeous!
Happy for a lovely variation of the granny!
I finally finished my very first one. Thanks for the wonderful pattern.
Loved this pattern so much! So easy and clear instructions! Toni ethos is by far my favorite pattern ever!
I make my magic circle the exact same way! I too detest the "Granny Square" , however, using the triangles, colors of yarn, and that "Cloud" like edging? Simply beautiful! You really have a knack for choosing the right color palette for all your creations!
It's adorable! And you're right, I think this will be my new favorite baby blanket to make.
This is so pretty and a very good project to use leftover yarn which I have a lot😂 the border is a good technique looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing sear and stay safe, love from Miami💖💖💕
Beautiful 😃. I like the idea (previously) about making Daphne Afghan larger!! Thanks again for making my day! Take care and stay safe 🥰
Very beautiful pattern. Thanks for the tip on the knit blockers. I just received my order. Wow! so fast and easy to use.
Love your camera tricks. Lol. Love your tutorials. You’re a great teacher. Thank you.
Love that border! So glad I stumbled on this video! Beautiful
Thank you!! I love my Daphne afghan!!!
You are so brilliant! Thank you for your beautiful patterns.
Love this pattern and tutorial! Can you please share how you did the ends weaving? You mentioned Tik Tok, please!
If I'm only using one accent color, can I carry that along as well, or will it peek through the border at the end? (I hate ends! hahaha!)
If no one told you, yes you can carry the accent color up the side as well 😊
Toni, do you have a video tutorial on how to read crochet patterns?
Super tutorial! I am halfway through and loving this project. Thanks so much!
I’m going to make this. It’s beautiful.
So beautifully simple.
This is definitely my next project but going to make it bigger! 😍💖💙🌸😍
I love this so much. I have one triangle done so far in just one evening, and I’m a slow crocheter because I’m a beginner. It’s a breeze to work on while watching tv. :)
Hello Mandy, did you finish it? Just wondering if you used all three of the Mandala cakes? I finished my triangles and have a full cake left. Thanks
I just love this, by the way!! I was so excited, I forgot to say so! Thank you for a gorgeous blanket and tutorial.
This is a gorgeous pattern, I can’t wait to start it!
I love this design so much, thank you for taking the time to share this for us all. It will be my next project!! xxxx
What was the trick for weaving in the ends? Beautiful project!
That's what I want to know, too!
Ppl wanna know! :-)
Perfection!
I love this pattern. Thank you so much.
Beautiful! Thank you for this tutorial! Now I need to go through My Stash lol or maybe go shopping for yarn !!🙋🏽❤️❤️❤️
What do you do with the grey ends on the edge of the blanket that span over the accent color? The ones that result from not cutting color a when you switch colors on the edge. They seem dangerously short to cut. I’m new to projects like this!
14:30 these will be hidden by the border
I just found this and love it! Thank you.🥰🧶
OMGosh This is beautiful!! Gonna start on this one Right now!! Thank you xxx Much Love from IL
I'm a dork! Great magic trick. (It took me a second time to watch this to get the joke!)
Same 😆😆😆😆 I was thinking, “wait, show me how to do it quickly!” Lol
Very pretty pattern lovely colors also
This is so pretty!!
I love it! It's so different.
I wanna make this now. Pretty
Great blanket....love you tutorials..
Love this
What color recommendations do you have for a mystery baby? We don’t know nursery colors , just purple.
Fingers crossed it goes well.

absolutely gorgeous! 😊😊
Ooo I know what I’m going to make with the yarn I just bought!
Great video! I like the shape of the crochet hook head. What brand crochet hook are you using in this video? The link to the hook is broken. Thanks.
This hook is from BQueen Collection, which is now out of business. You can use a Clover Amour hook for the same effect :-)
Could you just add one triangle as you do the final row of the next triangle? It seems that would be a faster easier way to join them.
There are many ways to do it, and I invite you to add your own twist to this project :-)
Such a cute blanket!! 💚
Wonderful tutorial. Thank you so much. 😊
Love it! Love it!! Love it!!!❤️
I'm making this now during a 20 week CAL
I’m getting ready to order yarn and I’m wondering if you used the mandala ombré yarn do you cut the color when you switch back to the basic color or if it just works out with this pattern? Thanks!
Same question
I noticed she doesn't really reply to her comment section, that's disappointing.
I wanted all triangles to be identical, so I wound up separating out the yarn in their color sections and winding them into smaller balls it was time consuming but worth it 😀
Really love the colors you used. May I ask what yarn and color?
norma waterman it says 3 cakes of mandala ombré and 3 of basic stitch yarns. At 0:48 of the video
What was the TikTok trick for weaving in ends?
I hate granny squares from the inside out, but this looks perfect! I might have to make it out of scraps!
Can you please show us how you sewed in your ends or tell us where we can find the tick tock
This is so neat ... I love ❤️ it... ty
Hi there! The Basic Stitch Premium yarn has been discontinued. Do you have an equivalent yarn in the Cream you recommend? Beautiful!
Feel free to swap in any worsted weight yarn of your choice :-)
Hi Toni...Beautiful. question? Have you washed any garment that you've made with this particular Mandala...just wondering what you're opinion is?
Just a question I had, would you cut your Mandala yarn and only carry the main color? It seems like a lot of ends to weave in.
Great question. I carried both yarns up the side of the work.
So cute 💗
I would love to know what the 'trick' was to weaving in those ends ;o).
I just heard of this when you were in with Marly Bird.
