Saw an interview with Matt shortly after this movie was released and he was asked what he liked most about making the film. He commented "The anonymity probably.. I was able to slip away in between scenes and days off and just walk around the streets and not be recognized" not realizing this was probably the LAST time he could walk around the streets of Europe and go unrecognized...
Plus John wick doesn't do all those quick cuts in fighting scenes. Like the Bourne movies. Enjoy both franchises. But that's the biggest difference for me.
Also, before John Wick, the new Daniel Craig James Bond took a lot of influence from the Jason Bourne movie franchise style (more serious tone and action scenes, etc.) Which is ironic, since the Jason Bourne ("J.B.") character, obviously had a lot of inspiration from James Bond ("J.B.") and probably Jack Bauer ("J.B.") from the TV show 24, which debuted just the year before this movie came out. 😆 Yes, I know Bourne and Bond are both based upon their novels which came out decades before.

Don't think she understands the concept of time and release dates. Bourne came out over 10 years before John WIck and paved the way for these kinds of action movies. The Daniel Craig style James Bond was based on the Bourne movies.
People with semi-transient lifestyles as Marie often have their own necessities with them, but are always on the look out for consumables like toothpaste.
Those types of reactions are always top notch to watch. Dasha reacts, reaction to John Wick is another great reaction because of this. At least elevated the reaction.
You have never seen this! !!!! Can't wait! This was a huge change in the spy / action genre. Daniel Craig's James Bond (Casino Royale) was more gritty and less reliant on gadgets because of this film. Add to this the Nolan Batman and many others. Good on you!
25:06 I personally think Franka Potente (Marie) looks great with her hair flaming red, like she had in the German movie Run Lola Run (Lola rennt, 1998).
You are right, it's not the same thing. Afraid of heights is common enough, but I think afraid of falling is more common and that is what you have (me too). I love being up in an airplane and I'm fine on a ski resort chairlift or looking down from the top of a mountain but if I'm on too steep of a roof or near an edge with no railing I freeze up or panic. Actually it's not the falling, it's the sudden stop at the bottom that scares the beejabers out of me.

Funny you mention being afraid of heights and having no problem flying. I became a private pilot to try to overcome my fear of heights.... didn't work, because it really isn't the same. On the other hand, I've been taking powered paragliding lessons (using a paraglider and wearing a motor on your back), and hanging in what is essentially a lawn chair above the ground is terrifying 😂

This is based on the not very well known book "The Underhill Identity" which was based in the Shire, and starts with a Hobbit being found floating face down in the Brandywine River, with the name of a pub embedded under his skin.
Hi Biss, the car you liked was either a Morris Cooper / Austin Cooper both marks came from the same manufacturer. Originally created in the early `60`s as a cheaper vehicle & proved very popular. If you see any pictures from the swinging `60`s in the U.K., you could see one often custom decorated. I believe they have built newer versions in recent years.

How funny to watch your reaction. When this movie came out, there was no John Wick or Netflix. Young people think that all this has always been. This is what's funny.
There was also a Tread Stone series. It tells how it all started. Really well done but they never finished it. Cant wait to see you react to the other films!!
You are comparing this movie to John Wick a lot. However, this movie came out 12 years before John Wick did. 2002 vs. 2014. So JW copied ideas from the Bourne movies.
I wouldn't say copied if so, lots of films copied it. I'd prefer to say the Bourne trilogy fundamentally changed the genre and inspired everything that followed
26:27- Yes, I have been. I didn't understand the customs, so they called me a "Stupid American", but I love the people in Paris, so I thought it was so cool.
13:08- I don't know about all that, but I won't lie. Biss as a translator is pretty freakin cool. I didn't know what they were saying in these Bourne movie, until Biss translated.
You might like the Swedish Millennium tv series The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest.
Its funny how you compare Jason Bourne to John Wick and say, "yeah it's ok....nothing great, but ok...." But in reality it should be, "WOW, look at all the stuff John Wick copied from Jason Bourne!" Essentially you wouldn't have a movie like John Wick without the original badass action/assassin movies like this. Just a matter of perspective, but lets give credit where credit is due.
The Bourne series predates John Wick by 10 years, and the books well before that. The 1974 Golden Earring hit "Twilight Zone" is based on The Bourne Identity novel.
A Kilometer is 6/10 of a mile. So when he said he could run flat out for a half of a mile, it was almost a kilometer. And Jason Bourne was before John Wick.
I also like the trilogy but I think The Bourne Legacy with Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weiss is quite good, too. The fourth one with Matt Damon is very mediocre.
The fourth one with Renner is good, and stands on its own I think. It's better than the fifth movie in my opinion, and gave the series some needed humour.
37:50 "He shot you with the shotgun, you gonna survive" Ummm, shotguns are commonly used to hunt Deer, Wild Boar, and even Bear... so, no he isn't gonna survive.
Great movie. I re-watched it again recently. Hadn't seen it in a while. Enjoyed it almost as much as the first time I watched it. All of the Bourne movies are good that I have seen -- 1 , 2 , 3 , 5 . I gotta check out the 4th one. It gets mixed reviews. But who goes by reviews? Right? Your reaction was fun, as usual. Some comments mention that someone got on you for talking too much? Dumb. You are the main pull on YOUR channel. The song or movie is secondary, imo . Keep on r'actin . Oh -- that was NOT your actual neck popping ... ??? Someone doing that always freaks me out. No way i am messing with my neck or spine. Uh-uh.

“Amnesia is pretty common” …really? I’ve never heard of anyone in real life having it. I only ever see it in TV shows and movies.
Great job, as usual. And I'm sure Marie had her own toothbrush in her bag, btw.
People with semi-transient lifestyles as Marie often have their own necessities with them, but are always on the look out for consumables like toothpaste.
I enjoyed this more than most. The multilingual aspect of the reaction was compelling.
This is the first film I saw in HD, back in 2003. I remember being amazed.
Here is a fun fact.. Tony Gilroy who is behind The Bourne Films, is also responsible for Star Wars Rogue One and Andor :)
16:00-That's the 1963 Austin MIni-Cooper...they were so well-built there's still about 4500 left running today (British Car Club)...As you saw, they handled like go-carts, had a big engine for it's size and a "Skid Plate"on the bottom to protect the engine--doggone thing won the European off-road racing championship 3 times. 19:16-Best jump scare of the month! 37:40..Shotgun rounds can cause massive internal bleeding, especiailly Buckshot loads. Watch the next two--they're just as good and you learn more about Bourme's past.
Thanks for watching the movie with us! Biss, if you haven't seen "Payback" with Mel Gibson, may I suggest you add it to your list? It's brutal and funny in parts. It has kind of a noire feel to it. I think you'd really like it. :)
Lucy Liu is so hot in that movie.
"Payback" is a fantastic movie. I recommend it to everyone. I'm surprised a little by how few people have seen it.
Fantastic movie, I hope she reacts to it.
Or the original Payback with Glenn Ford. Same basic script & just as riveting.
@@fiddiehacked Can't find the film you described.
Payback is based on a 1962 novel titled The Hunter. A 1967 film with Lee Marvin titled Point Blank is based on the same novel. Wiki
The ending is definitely Greece, specifically the island of Mykonos.
13:21 I personally love when you talk. It is why I subscribed withe bell notification.
His character is NO HIP HOP LEWZER (at 13:22).
I cannot believe you said that. l o l
When this film came out, men still kept their pants up (My God... !)
The mystique of being a criminal is a big horrible lie.
Bourne is a stand-up guy and a professional.
Luv your channel. You're my favorite ! Keep on posting those songs and movies, dear one.
You are a breath of fresh air and it is a pleasure to spend time on your sites (I know you are intelligent, also, the way you translate languages and quickly pick up on what is said in foreign languages.)
Cheers !
I absolutely love your reactions, so real, so authentic. Watching your genuine reactions to sone of my favorite songs is amazing as well. Slàinté, a leannan.
Hello! Just wanted to say I love your reaction to movies and music, I love listening to your voice very soothing and genuine curiosity to what your engage with. You have this passion that I am engage with and I’m here for it, also you’re a little crazy too sometimes lol
And you have a beautiful smile. Can’t wait for more reactions from you.
the end of that movie with the music gives me goosebumps lol
‘Don’t worry…please, keep talking’. 😂
Nice reaction. Thanks.
18:15 Marie lived out of her car, so I think it’s logical that she would keep her toothbrush in her bag. Her character’s different, but I don’t think she’s crazy.
This is based on the not very well known book "The Underhill Identity" which was based in the Shire, and starts with a Hobbit being found floating face down in the Brandywine River, with the name of a pub embedded under his skin.
Not even funny
@@MoMoMyPup10 Is too.
Hilarious 😂😂😂
I am sure John Wick stole a lot of ideas from the Bourne movies.
20:24 that look when dude went out the window 😆
Hi Biss, the car you liked was either a Morris Cooper / Austin Cooper both marks came from the same manufacturer. Originally created in the early `60`s as a cheaper vehicle & proved very popular. If you see any pictures from the swinging `60`s in the U.K., you could see one often custom decorated. I believe they have built newer versions in recent years.
Gypsies are nomadic. I never realized she was looking to see if a woman had been in the apartment, good catch, I guess seeing from a female perspective helps ... lol.
Calling someone a gypsy is more of an insult in Romania...not mere nomads, they wander into towns and cause a nuisance with theft and petty crime.
@@philproffitt8363 Look at 14:11 and then 46:15 of this video. I am just providing the answer for the word referring to moving from place to place. In the modern age, we often call people who move around a lot Gypsies, it has nothing to do with those people in the past called Gypsy. Just a modern bit of urban slang.
How funny to watch your reaction. When this movie came out, there was no John Wick or Netflix.
Young people think that all this has always been. This is what's funny.
No 'Netflix and Chill'...we just f**ked :-)
Blockbuster and bang predated Netflix and chill lol it was really never officially coined though.
the surgical knife is called a SCALpel
In my opinion, this is one of the top 3 trilogies.
As far as the pencil thing, even though John Wick did it, is was actually 12 years later. Done here "first".
Loved your reaction and please talk to your heart's desire
I read Eamon is her half-brother they were probably like estranged or something
some of us love listening to you talk, biss ❤
Love the Bourne films. The original trilogy is the best. The Bourne Legacy is OK but was unnecessary. Jason Bourne was OK too.
The old version with Richard Chamberlain wasn't that good. I loved the novels.
The older one he cries lol
Talk, BissCute, TALK! :)
I love to hear you talk Biss
You might like the Swedish Millennium tv series The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest.
Its funny how you compare Jason Bourne to John Wick and say, "yeah it's ok....nothing great, but ok...." But in reality it should be, "WOW, look at all the stuff John Wick copied from Jason Bourne!" Essentially you wouldn't have a movie like John Wick without the original badass action/assassin movies like this. Just a matter of perspective, but lets give credit where credit is due.
I've watched this franchise a million times, and I never noticed that she used the bag as a flower pot haha Good eye!
The first 3 Bourne films are great. The rest can be missed. I don't even remember what happened in the rest, they are so forgettable.
I thought "Jason Bourne" was a good movie.
Surprisingly good. It's all in the story.
I haven't seen the 4th in the series. Gonna soon, though.
Npc responses
I rather liked Legacy, but haven't seen the 5th yet.
Mykonos, Greece, Eamon's home is in the Czech Republic. Said it's in Prague.
5:30 actual shooting location is Prague, not zurich.
37:50 "He shot you with the shotgun, you gonna survive" Ummm, shotguns are commonly used to hunt Deer, Wild Boar, and even Bear... so, no he isn't gonna survive.
18:20 she's constantly moving from place to place, I'm sure she brings her own toothbrush. 😂
I've watched this movie 100 times😂 and I didn't realize she was looking for other women's clothing😊
Uh-uh.
I like to listen to your commentary !!
I like your english pronunciations. Very charming!
Much Love to You and Ukraine

"I'm not a good person with heights."

Well she´s kind of right because, if you are with no contact with ground it´s not really that same vertigo sense, at leasr not for me. And I think that´s for Madelina too?
Fun reaction.
No, John Wick is this.
Jason Bourne has class, so he definitely listens to classical music.
Jason Bourne movie its from 2002 and Jhon Wick movie its from 2014. Make your own conclusions 🙂
