I’d also like to add that a systemic insecticide for the soil will also help out tremendously. Because the insecticide goes into the cells of the plant so the juice sucking pests will die when they feed on the plants.

Yes, a systemic insecticide will kill almost everything, except mites. But it's not a natural method, but synthetic, which is why I haven't mentioned it :)

Hi Vlad,
I have thrips on my monstera. The underside of the leaves look yellowish brownish. I have been applying insecticidal soap and wiping the leaves. Can I save the infected leaves or should I cut them off? How often and how long should I apply the insecticidal soap for? What do I do with the soil?

Hi, thrips can be difficult to get rid of completely, as they are not always very visible. Against thrips, I would recommend a systemic insecticide. I know it's not natural, but I only recommend it against thrips. With this one you apply it once and you're free for a year: www.mrhouseplant.com/recommends/systemic-insecticide/ (Amazon link) If you want to continue with insecticidal soap, apply it as per instructions, whatever the frequency listed. If nothing is listed, apply once a week until they're gone. I suggest also repotting the plant and removing old soil
