How to Propagate Your Avocado

METHOD 1
➡️I assume you have already taken the pit out of avocado, and cleaned it with a towel.
➡️The bottom part of the pit is flat. That is the part that will sprout roots. Make sure it's facing down.
➡️Stick 3 toothpicks in the pit
➡️Put the pit in a dish with water, so that the bottom of the pit is in water
➡️You will have to refill the dish regularly, so that the bottom of the pit is always in water
➡️Also replace water once a week or as soon as it gets dirty
➡️Not all pits will sprout, just like not every cutting will propagate. And that's fine ☺️
METHOD 2 (better)
➡️This is a great method, because a lot of people will forget to refill the dish
➡️Take 3 half-toothpicks, stick one side in the pit, the other in a cork
➡️The corks will keep the pit floating, so you won't need to worry about adding water as often
FOR BOTH METHODS
➡️When roots sprout, the pit doesn't have to reach the water any more. Only the roots need to be in water.
➡️Once the roots grow a few inches long, you can pot the pits into soil .
