I was driving artics for more than 30years before I retired and I still got out when I couldn’t see so see the wise guys who are saying these negative things tell them to do one , you’ve very little space you have a mid lift unit not a poxy 4 wheeler and mid lifts don’t turn as quick I know I drove one , great video girl , slow and steady gets the job done safely
To be honest, after all these years I’m used to it. The comments come to me first, if they’re too abusive I just delete them, no one wants to read that nonsense. I’m sure when the company are not happy they’ll tell me. Thanks for watching and your support. 😁
Love watching your videos, I had a heart attack a few years ago and the DVLA took my HGV away. I so miss driving. As for the fools commenting on how you should be reversing, well we all know those sorts of I’ve done this and I’ve done that, normally they are not that good when you see them.
I'm not much of a fan of art & sculpture but I stopped at the Angel & was blown away. It is very impressive & was amazed to learn it is one of the most viewed pieces of art in the world. As for people criticising your reversing, don't worry, every circus has got one.
Hi Sherralin, your comments about the red line and people not being able to see a big lorry, reminded me how it used to amuse me when I operated a big orange fork lift, (supplying parts to a production line), it was me that had to wear the Hi-Vis clothing. I found your channel a few weeks ago and enjoy watching the vids very much.
When driving from Galicia to The Netherlands I hate driving around several cities. Bordeaux is one, Antwerp ring is another. I used to hate driving through Rouen. However, now there is a clean air zone, for which my car is not suitable I have found an enjoyable route using country roads. The two Dartford tunnels were built at different times The first one, the lowest one, was first used as a two way road. I remember that as a kid.
Hi another interesting vid. Can’t understand why more people don’t support your channel. Being an Essex boy been through the tunnel many times when first open there were signs saying lights not needed in tunnel and once informed by speakers in tunnel to turn off my lights. Keep safe and good trucking
Thank you. It’s always nice when I see a new subscriber come up. 😁 I never knew they had speakers in the tunnel, must be like a voice from God shouting at you 😂😂 Thanks for the info. 😁
I was at exactly the same junction a number of years ago on holiday when an old lady dressed exactly like the grandmother in "Allo Allo" Tv series came up on my right. She was driving a tiny red car, as she got to the merge section she stopped and did a 90 degree turn left and just pushed straight across all the lanes into the outside lane then stopped! I think everyone was so shocked and just let her pass. As we carried on i could see her stationary holding everyone up. Never saw her again as we crossed the bridge. we always remember her when we drive through that area.
Hi Sherralin, enjoying your video. I know where Lymm truck stop is. Always had to pass it when coming off the M56 and heading on the A50 to Warrington. My mum, bless her, was in a residential home at Latchford. I also would approach it as well, but heading for the M6 northbound over Thelwall Bridge and come off for the A57 heading to my brother (who used to drive for Asda and has since retired), and lives at Wioolston. I live in Denton, near to Stockport, so a nice run out. I've passed the Angel of the North when heading up to Berwick. I nearly missed seeing it because of the trees. First time I saw it on tv was actually when watching Vera, she was driving past it in her Land Rover, heading towards the A1
the roller was all we had unloading at the old covent garden and most fruit markets , roped and sheeted and the driver unloaded onto the belt about 800 to 1000 boxes (good old days not ) the only good bit was the pubs where open all night lol
Another top vid shell.good driving the fast smart arse drivers trucks are full of scratches and dings. You know there's no substitute for experience.keep it up,take care
Hi Sheralinne, ( I hope the spelling is correct). Watching the traffic you were in,in both countries, the driving standards are the same. This is replicated in all big cities in Australia, and I imagine all over the world. I admire your attitude in dealing with other drivers' standards. I will attempt to emulate your behaviour when next in a big city. Take care out there, safe travels. Sarah from Tasmania.
Lovely trip, I agree completely with your approach for reversing I'm exactly the same i have to take a look can't even trust someone given direction, I find as I'm getting older driving in heavy traffic and maybe raining I don't have the same courage I worry about breaking down or having a tip and blocking everyone, anyway great video and stay safe.
Great video, completely agree with your approach to reversing i jump out always can't seem to trust anyone giving me directions, as I'm getting older i get a bit nervous in heavy traffic especially when its raining i worry about breaking down or having a tip and blocking everyone, anyway lovely trip and stay safe.
Great blog as usual Sherrali,That road around Bordeaux really does need sorting out,I have seen queues stretching back for 6 or more miles southbound, and joining it from Spain northbound can also be a challenge, always allow plenty of time,no good needing a break,no chance!! I also remember when there was only one pipe at Dartford, now that was exciting!!! 😂
It’s not about how long or short you’ve been driving, when blindsiding you’ve only a rough idea where the osr corner of the trailer is, getting out & checking is the right thing to do. All the heroes who don’t are probably the ones with battered fridges on the back.
This has been a happy video in one way ,have seen the Angle of the north again last time many years ago, when we would come back home form scots trips, back down to the west country home, I am sad about lymm as the old cafe was great for meals and at the time of building the new one, their was a lot of interest at the plans that was on show. Thank you very much for you video, and please be safe as always.
Great vlog as usual . I can reverse onto the same bay in one go some days and other days it's two - three shunts. Motto's the same . Did I damage anything? - answer no so it's a good day
I’ve driven around the outside of Bordeaux, with my caravan! I agree, it’s a nightmare including all the ‘pushing in’ and breaking the regulations. Of course, it happens here in Sleepy Suffolk as well!! Phil 🤨🇬🇧
what was that old thing in the other yard at 21:30 behind the pallex cutainsider? also a couple of fails on disguising the newcastle drop ID when it's plastered all over their van in the yard......sorry
Hi Sheralinne, Great video as per…How are ya love? Where are ya this week, Spain 🇪🇸? Or United Kingdom?I sent you around two or so weeks ago…3 x Coffees!! Did you receive my donation to your channel? Cheers Mickey Shone 🌞🌅☀️
Hi, yes thank you, you mentioned your Dad. I did reply, I think it comes to you via email so it might have gone into your junk! I’m in France atm, keeping busy. Thanks for your support. 😁
there is a easier route than going up through france i dont go via france i use brittany ferries from santander to plymouth then A38-M%-M42-M1-A1 easy way to newcastle and edinburgh
If it wasn't already lucrative enough operating a paid truck stop with no security, they also get to profit from selling fuel to everyone who either parked up near-empty to protect against theft, or needs to replace their stolen fuel 😠 Those bragging about doing things quicker should probably try timing themselves. Time moves faster when you're the one doing it, it always seems to take longer when you're watching someone else. Although if they can save a couple of minutes here and there that's more time they have to spend on the things that are important to them, like destructive criticism 🤦♀
The people who tell you that they could have reversed a HGV in one go, have probably never ever driven a nail into soft wood!' yet' alone a HGV vehicle' Armchair drivers that's all they are!. I personally think that you are a very good driver. Trolls will always be Trolls..
Hi again from west ausie still watching yr activities,Its been enjoy yr Xmas.. barb

Thank you, glad you enjoy the channel. You get to be an armchair trucker by my side 😁
Antiques Roadshow show had a model of the sculpture. Which was valued at a nice tidy sum.
Wonder if it was from when it was being designed 🤔
The old Lymm when it was the Poplars was great. 😊
😂 Couldn’t see from one side of room to the other but the food was delicious 😁
Thanks for posting.
Thank you 😁

Hi 👋🏻 👋🏻
I get that about the traffic trying to merge. I love to block them from coming in if I can. Wait like everyone else.
😂😂 Trouble is when you’re in a different country 90% of the year time you’ll get the blame if they hit you! 🤷🏼♀️
@@GBtrucklady For sure
Great video as always good to watch take care 😊
Thank you 😁
Very Interesting Video And Detail And Scenery Please Keep Them Coming And Stay Safe Out There

I think the scenic route is always more enjoyable when you’re not in a hurry. 😁

Sounds like she was a bit confused. 😁

I bet it kept you fit though. 😁
That white car with black roof that cut in,not only did it do to you but to other drivers in the two lanes on your near side.

Thank you.😁 I think it helps that I don’t have a competitive bone in me, makes it easy for me to say, “yeah carry on mate” while I do my own thing 😂😂

Happens everywhere I’m afraid. Thanks for watching 😁
Great video 👍
In lymm there is a restaurant inside the pub but no McDonald’s
Thank you 😁 No restaurant anymore. McDonald’s BP garage side.
21:25 The bow in the fence is the clue, they are tryimg to save massive repair bills to the fence.
😂😂 yes…….I was joking 🤦🏼♀️😂😂😂😂
what was that old thing in the other yard at 21:30 behind the pallex cutainsider? also a couple of fails on disguising the newcastle drop ID when it's plastered all over their van in the yard......sorry
21.30 no idea. Don’t worry the van isn’t theirs, no need to be sorry for your mistake 😁
👍👍
😁👍🏻
maybe a red monster pops up and eats scanias if you cross the line . and yep i remember the old cafe on the old site so your not the only 1
😂😂😂 Fireworks and a big Genie 🧞♂️ “YOU CROSSED THE LINE!” 😂😂😂.
I believe the Angel Of The North is colloquially known as "Rusty Rita" in some circles!
That seems a little disrespectful for such a magnificent structure but people are people!
As a geordie , we think it’s hideous piece of scrap , sorry but nobody up here is proud of it
indeed, its not a race, but most people will learn in time
Traffic around Paris will be a nightmare: Fri, Jul 26, 2024 - Sun, Aug 11; it's Olympic time!
Think the swimmers will be very brave! 😷🤑😁
Poplar truck stop was good until they moved across the road x
We are showing our age! 😂😂 They gave us a loyalty card when they moved but then they sold it! 😁
