I toured America 1979. On a bicycle . Ogden was significant . Those people are well dressed and unfriendly . Unfriendly people have much to protect . The first time I went through 60s everyone in one town was out digging a new find and left a little girl to tend the register at the gas and gulp .... But 79 was a ringer . I went east up in the mountains . Alone . No tracks no car no sign . Asleep in a tent . A stater knocking ...get the hell out of here . 2 am . I got nothing but run off or police everywhere I went ... Not a bicycle friendly state. Mormons teach to not pay up if yer creditor lives out of town . I knew a million dollar Kirby salesman got lured into Utah . He hitchhiked out starving as the fat cat counted the chips . I took a job on a grader in 75 and wouldn't pay . Had a smith 59 on a shoulder and you almost lost 6 dishonest Mormons that day. 79 I came thru and picked up a subcontract with the same Ogden Contractor ... Heavy equipment .. I was asking around for a job again and the rental company gave me a Case 580C backhoe and told me to finish clean a new storage unit complex . So I tore out the SOBs electric sewer phone .cracked up a few foundations and covered it all up. This was Saturday . Sunday morning as I rolled out of town with that fat check cashed in my pocket I saw the saints on Sunday working their little tails off laying asphalt on that job I did . I smiled knowing true revenge is rare and ya better dig two graves friend .... But that day came and I won . Ha ha ha ha . To Ogden Utah or anywhere in that hell hole . On the way out of town a car full of young penguins on their way to their "church " ... Heave a beer bottle in my back with a hardy F... You and I stepped up the pace to catch them as they pulled into their "church" with 300 more penguins .. I could take out a car full I have an inch on hulk Hogan . But 300... I thought I would just wait ....and some day that church will lose their electric sewer and phone . And maybe hit a gas line and we all get blown to hell . To hell with Utah . My best friend was a salt lake reporter . He has enough to sink the entire ship .. but he was married to Joseph Smiths great great great... Whatever

Hey@@JoeBattle, He really didn't want to tell this story on camera, I finally twisted his arm and he agreed as long as I didn't show his face. in the beginning, he also said I had to change his voice but decided in the end that I didn't have to change his voice. There were a lot of great stories at the 2024 moon lake gathering, but most didn't want their stories shared publicly. I'm glad I was able to talk this guy into it. At least there were names and places ive been (have no idea where carrie shinob is located). . Weather the action was true, he described what many have said before him. True or not this type of interview is a good interview.
Man i sure love the stories, the treasure hunter in me wishes they were all true. I understand the vast majority are just that.... STORIES!! But i still try to let my imagination run wild and enjoy them anyway!!! However this guy here makes it real real tuff!! He's got BS'er written ALL over him!! Still fun to hear, and hopefully atleast some of his story isnt entirely pulled out of thin air!! I want there to be everything he and other folks say is up there! I dont care to ever make a penny from it, id just love to see it for the history of it all and to be able to verify the spaniards were in fact here pullin tons of great gold out of utah way before history books say they were here!! Sure be fun to know and verify the indians have actually gaurded these sacred places, but let Thomas and Caleb pull some gold to help the church!! It would be so neat to see something first hand that is evidence of these things being true!! I do know of a spanish coin minted in the 1200's, and others minted in the 1600's being found in utah which is obviously long before Columbus fleet got here. And i understand those alone arent full blown proof of spaniards being here that early, i guess there are alternative ways and times they could have got here!?! But it sure keeps that hope alive that one day I'll see that definitive proof!!!

There is no gold in Fort Knocks. It was stolen many years ago by the Bushes and Clinton's.

Years ago my friends and I were up camping in that area not knowing anything about the history. We got approached by some guys in cammo fully armed they wanted to know what we were up there doing. It always struck me odd wondering what the military is doing up there. I at the time thought they had an underground base or something.
