Unfortunately the Cybertruck was in "High" mode instead of "Very High" mode in the suspension which is the reason it didn’t have much wheel articulation. The manual explicitly says for Rock mode “When the ride height is Very High, the suspension system pneumatically connects the springs on the front and rear axles, increasing suspension articulation for maximum traction.”
That's kind of been the problem with all the early stuck trucks... Guys like Mitch (guys that have been off road ever) are the ones behind the real. It wasn't the boat, it was the captain.
Nice video man. I am someone getting a Cybertruck in the near future. The first aftermarket upgrade I will be looking for is a front winch bumper with a hitch receiver, if your buddy in this video makes those it will be popular. I saw quite a few upgrades on the truck in this video, but it looked like it was still on the stock tires and rims? Some beadlocker rims like you have on your Bronco will be upgrade #2 for my Cybertruck, airing down makes for a much better off road experience. Underbody armor is #3 upgrade. My 2008 Tacoma 4x4 got underbody armor, wheels and tires, rock sliders, a winch bumper, and a Fabtech suspension back in 2008 just after I bought it new. Without those upgrades my Tacoma would have been destroyed by 2009, with those upgrades the Tacoma is still happy and doing well for me in 2024.
That was pretty badass considering it was all done on OEM tires the Cybertruck comes with and a driver totally unfamiliar with how to make the most of the four-wheel steering. Putting it in the highest mode (below extract) would have really made it a cakewalk with the suspension cross-linked.
Does this thing not have sway bars that can be disconnected. Also, this is something I could have done with my Ford Edge. For something with such a long wheel-base and AWD I expected it to just coast to the hill.
Why you keep stopping and starting on these hills? First rule of off roading is to keep the momentum. Ofcourse if you stop in the middle of a hill it's a lot more difficult to get started again.

I failed to read the manual before this whole ordeal…
There is also higher still "Extract Mode", to be used for exceptional situations, offers the last 1.5" I believe.
That was fun to watch! The truck did better than thought it would, but of course Mitch was driving. Way to go Mitch!

Thanks! Haha I was surprised with myself AND the truck 😂

cybertruck already has a hitch/receiver
You definitely sound like you have the right direction!
Don't forget to download your locking differentials.
So cool that it can just be a software update/download!
Locked and loaded 😎

Great filming as always!
Thank you! Our boy Glenn did most of it!
Dang, those polycarbonate panels on the camper shell don’t take scratches well 😬
Its mainly dirt and I’m sure it would clean up pretty good
Where was this shot? Castaic Reservoir in the background?
Cool. Exactly what i wanna see with rhe CT
They didn't even have it in highest lift normal range let alone "Extract Mode", highest clearance.
Fun video. Next time take this guy's ( @ceebee ) Ford Edge up the same trail.
Hahaha this is awesome!
Thanks buddy!
I think I've seen Matchbox cars with more articulation. that thing looked way out of it's element ..
Great video, thanks.
Thanks for watching!

You can disconnect the sway bars. 👍
Quick disconnect sway bars are available too.
Video proof on the Ford Edge.

Also put on the same tires as the bronco if you want to compare both.
You’re prbly right. What was I thinking?
Nice video
Thank you!
I definitely hate how they look, but this was an interesting test.
We’re glad you thought so!
Where's the chute? No hells highway or oh shit creek!
