That's right and no one of them explain how to read that data
No kidding!! Also they make it sound easy but it is cumbersome.
Can you do this with out the original phone and sim ie changed phone and number is the a 2 stage in if no text received a email can be used ?
do this backup every older history like few days back? i lost my recover to recovery even there is 7 days of backup in phone.
i have a blackberry passport and hack so i can download whatsapp from google play, when i try to backup chats to google drive it says "unable to access your account at this time, please try again later" i can back up to the local drive, but i need to put it on the drive so i can install it to the new phone what can i do?

I Lost my android phone now i want to download my whatsapp chat from google drive through backup on my laptop. I need that chat it was improtant please tell me how can i do this in my windows laptop.
I was hoping this would work. But unfortunately my Gdrive backup got corrupted and also doesn't show in this program. I think this is because I might have factory reset the phone WHILE it was actually not finished updating the backup on Gdrive. Unfortunate. I think I lost 12+ years of chat data. I'd like to try and see if it can find any backup via the Restore Delete Whatsapp messages, but I cannot see if it actually finds any intact data so I'm a bit hesitant to shell out 40 USD.

Can I restore the old whatsapp backup into another phone which is saved in google drive
I hope you can help me. I switched phones from a Galaxy 8 Note to Galaxy A32 5G - at this point, dont ask me why.
I used the "Transfer Chat" function to transfer the WA chats from the old to the new phone. The problem is that all of my starred messages ( photos/videos) are in the new phone, but they are not visible. They have a download arrow on top of them, but when I click on the download, it fails. All of the photos are still on my new phone but just not displaying/playing in WA starred messages.

i have the same issue. ive lost all my media files despite doing a backup to google drive right before i switched to my new phone. all chats have been restored and none of the media. completely useless.
I'm sorry to ask but am I to understand that with this software I can avoid using Google Drive ? 🙏
Hello, I have one problem. recently my phone got damaged and I need to download new whatsapp but problem is I moved to different country so due to that I cant get code through sim. but I can use my old whatsapp via PC.. but I wanted to know is there any other method or options through I can get back my old whatsapp in my new phone?

Not seeing it. I backup whatsapp to google drive for free. I don't see any additional capability here. I want to copy the files from inside whatsapp to a tree-structured filesystem.
Why did you skip the paiement screen that ask the user to PAY to use the tool?
My problem is that, everytime I uninstall my whatsapp, the reinstallation is almost automatic - the app never asks my number or any data and so, it doesn't ask for a restoration data process. So I end up with the exact same whatsapp.

I have backed up WhatsApp's chats on june every time I Uninstall WhatsApp when I reinstall the backup restore normal
But
Later this month I Uninstall WhatsApp n reinstall it aging no backup restore option found even if I entered to the app said to me no backup found no this email
Btw it's the same number n email

there application not working and there refund policy is fake skate a way don't waste your money

Yes this is only helpful if I actually had my phone, But it's been STOLEN. Didn't say anything about reading the Backups If I actually don't have my phone. You have 1.1k dislike, And 180 Likes.
