young man this is no doubt in my mind the best wood working channel on you tube !!! bar none. I love traditional wood working but even more the fact you use reclaimed product this is my life's mission as well my wife and I love to bring old things back to life and use them. I absolutely applaud you in what you are doing, keep up the awesome work your doing, your a credit to your profession.I just don't understand why you don't have 1,000,000 subscribers by now but mark my words you will.
Kris, you are one of those few men, with fruitful ideas, that are acted on. Keep up your work, and love the women, that supports your hard work, and with your love for God, you will have it all, on Mother Earth 🌍. Look no further! God Bless from the USA 🇺🇸, The Bear 🐻
It is really therapeutic watching you work Kris. You never get overly stressed and greet each wee problem as it arises, thinking on your feet and improvising brilliantly. You have a wonderful demeanour. Excellent as always brother x
Kris how nice is that statement. "My batteries are full so I need to turn the saw on to use power or else its wasted". Your place very slowly is becoming an awesome place to work from, even when its chucking it down.
I've always appreciated when the video gets to a loud portion due to a power tool or chain saw you always cut the volume down. Thank you! You're one of the only vloggers that I watch that does that.
It's an absolute crime that you only have 224k subs. You're producing some fantastic content, literally what you build and the actual video for us. Many thanks for all your hard work and letting us join you along the way.
I was thinking the same thing when after I got about 3 video's in. Seems like the dude should be at a full 1 million subs now. I know he will get there one day. When you are as busy as he is it can be hard to promote your channel.
I started out on my own restoring a barn into a place to live. Reminds me of what you are doing with the kitchen in the shop. Met my wife and we lived in a tent and small trailer while I built a shop which became our home for 25 years. County and state said I couldn’t keep living there and had to build a house. My wife hated the dust, smoke, and critters anyway. Built a house. No wood stove. Air filtration to pull dust and stale air out of the house. I’m 68 years old and would love to go back to the old ways. That’s why I so enjoy what you are doing. ❤️😁
Jeez, Kris. That is a premium class man cave! I love the solidity, the natural-ness, and the seeming cosiness. You are one lucky man! Pity I can't give you two thumbs-up....
So nice to have hydro producing 24 hours a day and you have solar and wind. Such a fantastic foundation for off-grid life and you can produce things. What is not to like, you must be a global inspiration to like minded people.👍
I’ve never commented before but today is the day. You are absolutely amazing at what you can do/ build. It’s BEAUTIFUL! I’m in awe of you. You are honestly the man. Many thumbs up. 👍👍👍etc. etc. 🤝🇨🇦
That idea to tie two slabs together is genius! I love it. I found myself a source of awesome red and white oak logs to slab. First thing is to slab them, second is to find something to do with them! A workbench may just be the ticket
The journey you have been on, and still to go is absolutely incredible, i have been watch since the start, when you were filling tyres, keep going!! Just incredible!!!
I'm so jealous, you are awesome to make all of this a reality, I've been watching ever since you started on RUclips. Wish you all the best, hope to keep watching many more👍
Looking really good Kris. Loving the birth of your concept into physical form. Looking forward to years of awesome videos as you get your shop built and much more.
Not posted before. My hubby has watched you from the very first vid you posted and has finally convinced me to watch too. Binge watched 23 vids in a row On Sunday and the only reason I stopped was because it was soooo late and I had work the next day. I'll be caught up with hubby soon and we can then enjoy watching you together. Love what you are doing and can't wait to see the workshop when it's all done (That's where I'm up to, turfing the workshop). It's so nice to see and watch you grow as a person and the skills you are developing. Much love to Dot, Snoop and yourself. Excited to be with you on this journey. Thanks for being you xxx
Hey Kris, this is 'the MAN!' 'Get back to work where is my video! ' I'm really just excited to see the mill cut timber, literally 20 minutes of milling would be awesome.
❤️ Thank you for sharing. Love watching you piece big slabs of wood together to create works of art. That live edge in your man cave kitchen looks fabulous
the cabinets and tops look great Kris but i was continually distracted by the doors i believe they make the building fantastic design very pleasing to the eye
Thanks for the details on how you use your power and how its generated. It blows my mind to see you using 100% renewables! I could stay watching the power meter for hours :D. Just amazing
I'm still amazed at what can be done by one so far away from civilisation. You make things look so easy and simplistic. Truly a man amongst men. Well done Kris and Dot.
Great job Kriss! It is truly amazing how you use the electric energy needed right down to the wattage to meet your needs for the job! Looking good! Man cave ,well on the way!😀👍" Waste not, Want not"
Love your work and the efficiencies that you have developed over the years that idea of gauging work against available energy is pretty awesome. Enjoyed and learnt a lot along the way thanks for posting. :)
fantastic kitchen benches it looks so beautiful its the style I love and want all over my house one day. Thanks for the video you are an amazing craftsman I always say that to you and I hope you can see the talent in you as I do Kris. keep well my friend love from Australia
Hi Kris I have to say you videos are so inspiring, I've e followed you for sometime now, even when you was building your round house, I absolutely love your work and video content, please keep it coming. Ps your workshop is 1 of a kind.. absolute Legend
Hey Kris,. You have achieved so much! I hope you are reaching a point where life has become easier. Certainly looks like you are now able to tackle far bigger and more challenging projects. Huge respect!
Love Saturday mornings here in Oz when I sit with my morning pot of tea and Chris’ video is waiting for me to live vicariously for a moment. Terrific start to the weekend. Thanks again Chris from Cherie in Oz.
This is awesome stuff. I want to build a workshop bench area in a very similar way some day, and you have gone and made such a great video on how to go about it. Thank you!
It will be less stress on the table saw and easier on the power "source" if you make 2-3 passes for those thick pieces of lumber. Something to think about . Another very enjoyable and inspiring video brother.🙏🏻💜🇨🇦
I love watching your videos your a very talented guy. Kitchen in your workshop is definitely coming along, love the chunky work tops. Looking forward to seeing your next video 🤗
Looking really good mate! I love the chunky live edge look! What a lovely space to work and chill in. Really gutting about the Ash dieback such a shame were going to loose some beautiful trees to it! Truly wonderful you can run all that kit from a stream and it bit of sun and wind magnificent mate😁 as always thanks for the time and effort you put in for the videos.
Nice You amaze me each time Working your plan for your use as you go No pain no gain regarding your foot I’m sure you would liked have to miss this pain Take care
Excellent Kris, really looking good!!! If, as you stated, you intend to run your PC in the same area then please consider the extreme dust factor. If you could suck in the air from outside it would be fine but sucking in from it's normal location i.e. the room it's seated in, could be fatal in no time.
Great vid! Looks like I wasn't too far off in my guess on where to put things. However, it's one thing to rough sketch it out, and quite another to see you implement it in that massive timber with all those natural curves. Looks absolutely amazing!
Lovely to see you guys again and Happy new year to you. My first encounter with earthbag and cob was mylittlehomestead. Like you they lived in self built houses. I watched an old upload of theirs last night and I was reminded how the Mum uses glass bottles in the earthbag construction, to make use of surplus items really. I super love your channel and I am scaring my children by telling them I am nearly ready to build their houses because of what you have taught me.
I love those doors!! Work of art! I really like the counter you are building, you are a real artist and craftsman. My only critique (sorry) is that huge basin! even if you sunk it down partially, would look better. And keep the counter at the same height as the rest. What an awesome setup you have with the hydro power and all! Thanks Kris for sharing your wonderful projects!!!
The power stuff is very interesting, it's just the novelty of treating it as something worth using when it's in such abundance I think... us on-gridders don't really get to see it that way :)
Thanks for the mental commentary... here in Wisconsin, near zero deg F and more snow each week make inside projects, like a kitchen facelift, the project of the month.
J'ai découvert un peu sur le tard votre site ou canal vidéo. Je suis impressionné par la diversité de projets que vous mettez en oeuvre et que vous rendez à terme avec beaucoup de brio. Petit clin d'oeil du Québec.
It’s good to see your power generation/consumption per project. I’m at the very beginning of researching solar/wind power so it’s a huge help for me, thanks Kris
I love your channel. You do such a fine job on so many different things. Plus you are not like some of the other channels that are always pitching some product or merch.
Considering buying some metatarsal guards to save the tops of your feet. I use a pair that cost about $50 and mounts on my boot laces. They’ve saved me a few broken foot bones over the years.

I've always appreciated when the video gets to a loud portion due to a power tool or chain saw you always cut the volume down. Thank you! You're one of the only vloggers that I watch that does that.
Hey Kris, been meaning to say this for a while now, but thank you so much for reducing the volume when using loud equipment!
Other channels please take note!
Yes! I usually only get to watch late at night when my 2 children are asleep! Thoughtful editing, very much appreciated!
Dude is obsessed with sound quality 😂
Don’t listen to wood working videos on headphones then or turn the volume down like you do on the dirty videos before you press play

He's at 377 subs. plus mine. I just came across his channel. Intriguing to say the least.
@@LaoZi2023 477lk now, he's growing at 100k every six months, so he's doing pretty well I think.

Man that angle, where you get your new double door in is soo pleasing after seeing all the work that goes into it and, man. Great work Kris as always!
Yeah I kept catching it too 👍
That's both glorious and gorgeous; I salute and envy your design eye, but only in a positive, admiring way ;-))
