- Welcome to another Bedrock Edition Tutorial video! Today I show you how to build a FAST and easy basalt farm in your Minecraft Bedrock Edition worlds! This farm has two versions, a simple 34k items/hour, and the larger 72k items/hour farm! Either of these will happily supply you with all the basalt you need in your worlds! “Stacks per minute” is a way better unit of measure than “items per hour” - it actually gives me a sense of how fast it is, and how long I need to run it for. Please always use that unit from now on - it’s so much better! (And thank you for the great idea!)
Just divide items per hour by 3840, that will make it stacks per minute

Alternate title: Best way to break your pickaxe as quickly as possible
Burn it in fire.
Droppers can solve that. Count with an observer the last block. Only allow one pulse. After x times (x being the number that block can be broke with one pick) send a pulse to the dropper. Dropping before your pick breaks is key, givin items have a 5 min despawn. Just make sure your inventory is filled. I havent built an adder in Minecraft in years but its ALOT easier with a hopper. Quick adjustment to a etho-hopper clock and its an adder. Although this wouldnt work if the block you're counting is being moved by pistons. You could cancel pulses from a piston triggered block update but if the block is broke when the piston moves it isnt counted. Might as well have a ethohopper clock with an observer (canceling the second pulse and the two pulses from the redstone block moving in one direction) that adds using an adder (like clocks; sec to min, min to hour). The clock starts when the system starts and drops a pick at the desired time. A "go" lamp and a quick pause(time counting not the pause menu) before is necessary to prepare and line it up right.

@@nicholaslupo4231 the problem here is that unbreaking isn’t a flat durability increase. It’s a chance to not consume durability when you break a block. You can use picks without unbreaking but if you need to use netherite picks for the best rates that makes it rather expensive

Look up his hostile mob farm. On Bedrock, creeper farms are inefficient, and you get more creepers from an ordinary hostile mob farm.

This still works overworld and in the nether, just built it in 1.17 6/27/21, the people that says it didnt work that couldnt put the soul soil in the hopper mine cart were not removing the powered rail before trying to push the soul soil into the hopper minecart. Still works! thanks Silent!

Infinite water source is a good April fools gag
Hostile mob farms get gunpowder faster than creeper farms and are easier to build. They also get way more XP and some string, bones etc too.
Creeper farms are useless on Bedrock. They're worse than hostile mob farms in every way.
If you want a smaller/simpler build you can build a witch farm, or if you want super high rates build Silentwisperer's ghast farm.

The hit boxes of hoppers have changed and sometimes the hopper minecarts get pushed into the hoppers. If this happens then push the soul soil from the top not the side

I just built your larger basalt farm, very easy to follow and understand. Thank u! However..... When I place the lava down all it does is just runs out of my build and spills onto the floor. OK: so, update, soul soil is not the same as soul sand. Had to look up how to get soul soil, and magic, my farm now works! Thanks silent!!!! Really enjoy the videos.

If you use the first version yes. But the bigger version need hast 2 to be able to reach tha maximum efficiency of the farm . Without hast 2 you can only break 2 blocks and not the 5 . Is there any way to use beacons in the nether?

everytime i try to not hold the mine then hold it quickly it completely restarts how do i get insta mine btw i have haste 2 in nether and it still is hard
Hey silent, you know what would be a fun project? A golem dispenser. Something that can shoot golems out during a raid or at your friends. Its too bad placing a carved pumpkin in iron blocks with a piston doesn't create a golem, otherwise there would be a lot of fun options. But you could use basically the same set up as the iron farm with a launcher at the bottom instead of a kill chamber... or a manual loaded one, of course.

For those that can't get this to work, make sure you are using soul soil and not soul sand. You can easily get soul soil by making and breaking a soul campfire

Another amazing super duper overpowered basalt farm which is much better than the ghast blaster one, I dunno why did we even were sad for ghasts not being able to destroy basalt anymore lol

I actually made a version with a wither cage, so all you have to do is turn on the farm, wait for like 15 seconds, and you have a few stacks of basalt. It’s not the fastest possible, but very simple, and has two independent modules, so you can run the farm at half speed if you want.

I built my own basalt generator today. It uses pistons, dispensers (for lava) and observers but it's the most compact redstone I've ever done without a tutorial. Every time I run it and let the pistons reach their limit, I end up with a stack and 32 basalt per "harvest", I guess. I'm quite proud of myself for building it.

Not related to this video but is there a good remedy for getting mobs into the bubble columns in the spawner optimization video you made about a year or so ago? I build those often and the mobs just kinda bounce at the signs for a good bit before getting sucked up.

I play Minecraft frequently. I have gotten about three double chests worth of basalt in my main world before realizing that you can generated.
I really want Netheright, I am stuck to diamond armour for months, I can't find any creeper farm for bedrock edition, man, you are my only hope for a creeper farm!

my first 1.16 farm was the mini basalt farm. 20 min and my unbreaking 3 netherite pickaxe lost 2/3 of its durability....
and that was in the overworld without haste

Would it make sense to have a chest under the hopper Minecart just so there's a bigger buffer than the hopper.. and then continue the storage
I’m assuming in some form of hotfix pushing the soul soil into the hopper Minecraft was fixed I cannot get it to work it pushes the hopper forward minecart where the hopper once was and the rail breaks I set it up exactly how it’s been shown in this video

I just had to do this again today. Hate it so much. I can't play survival with the kids without ender chests though. My go to method is mining close to the roof of the nether and listening for one. Blazes, skeletons, etc.
