You personality isn't stereotypical of white English people. That's why. If you had 100% the same looks and acted 'more English' in your character, people would be far more likely to consider you that way.
I can relate heavily, I'm fully Mexican but I was raised in a very white mormon town. I don't talk to more than half my family cuz I don't speak spanish, neither do my parents. I don't feel Mexican in the slightest but I'm also not fully white either. America has been a melting pot for so long, but they still cling to racial biases to define you as a person.

Korea is a country, and Koreans are people from that country. And white is an entire ethnicity .. stop trying to separate yourself from Cambodia, Thailand, or Mongolia
Identity is complicated for most people on this island, and the more digging you do into your tree the more this becomes true. Your dad for example, definitely looked of not too distant past Irish heritage, just like I am. I'm only 3rd gen British born, technically, but nobody would ever look at me or people like me through that lens.
@@booshank2327 err no, if you had pictures of 50 english and 50 irish, you would have a hard time telling them from each other. mildy different at best.
I don't know if you're joking or trolling. But, I actually think it is fine for somebody is half white English, wanting to identify themselves as white English. When somebody is half-white, half-something else, people always want them (for different reasons) to identify with that other side. And when they don't, they're seen as being self-hating. That isn't always the case. Also, it is strange people always identify somebody's background with their physical appearance. It is perhaps understandable initially, but after knowing somebody better, you should realize their ethnic identity doesn't always match their physical features.
I will never know what you're going through culturally but I just want to say that if people are shaming you for who you identify as or associate with, that's absolute garbage. Don't let anybody tear you down for not being "authentic". You can't control how you grew up. Absolutely disgusting that people would treat you like a lesser person because of it.
first of all your Thumbnaill is wrong, it should say IM BRITISH. Second, you are an adult man and should have had by now tried to assimilate British Culture and all that goes with it, like racism. Most of other British/Asian are already settled, have families and are going on with their lives. You gave up on your country, ran away, trying to live this fake life in Asia that will never work because you refuse to commit yourself and do the hard work. And Third, Joey is not a good example because he does not look Japanese and I can relate to his complains. If you would live in Malaysia, speaking fluently Malay, no one would think your are not Malay and they would not care.
Idk running away and trying to live in Asia reinforces his point about being white, there are tons of white males in Asia who are here to run away from their home countries, live as digital nomads, and enjoy the low cost of living and local women.
If Daniel was fully Asian, then yes, I think it’d be fine to say he’ll never be English, but he’s not. His father is fully English, he was raised within English society, has an English Accent, etc. I think it’s fair to say Daniel is English. Not white, though.
It's the same the world over, you could be White person born in Japan and speak Japanese fluently but you'll never be treated or accepted as Japanese because you don't look Japanese. A Black guy that was born in Sweden could come up to me and say "guess what nationality I am", obviously most people who are honest would say an African country. Swedish wouldn't be their first guess. It's a tribal thing based on looks.
Some Asians are half white especially the Chinese, or in terms of skin color they are essentially white, and some of them are yellow. If you had a kid with an white European women your child would either look full European White or half Asian, because Asian blood is thick, it would take the third to fourth generation of breeding with only white European blood to fade out such Asian blood. Now about Whales, Whales have reproductive Mammal anatomy but yet overall and nonetheless they are Fish like or half Fish as they have Fins and the body shape of a Fish. There are many people that will base something off of a slight variation of a difference and mistakably leave out the overall Classification, that which unfortunately you have done Daniel, why do people do that?? How hard can it be to understand classification of words of slight variations, but understand and account for what is overall or relative. 🙄😐🤨
Actually Mongoloid and Caucasoid races both come from a common ancestor ..thats in modern science and biblical genealogy. Hence Europeans and far east Asians tent to integrate into each other's countries relatively well .. similar IQ's and mentality
I did my DNA test and i'm %35 eastern european, %35 mongolian rest was southern european, anatolian etc. I look like a more handsome and manlier version of you with paler skin and i'm okay with both asian and white because i love both I think mixed people can identify as anything of their choice. We don't need to put them in special category and in this current political climate, i'm supporting you indentifying as a white
I don't understand the title of your video; you say in this video that "I will never be white or caucasian", and also that you are an English man. Both are objective facts. So is the title satirical? Or is this something like a racial variation on gender ideology, where people attempt to identify into/out of objective realities? I'm sorry that you get hurtful racist messages like that in the video, you're as English as me and all your English viewers.
I feel the same way. I don't have any Asian cultural influence or values, but people only consider me Asian even though I look less Asian than you. I think it is racist.
I can't work out if you're trolling here or not... Either way I feel your frustration. I had an Irish father and an English mother, living in London. My mun went to private school so sounded posher than her actual economic status actually was. We were middle class ish.. So I really found it tricky to find my place amongst my peers. Didn't really feel properly English although I was born here because of the Irish influence of my father who worked for an Irish bank...But my mum couldn't help giving the impression we were more affluent then we were because of all her airs and graces which we naturally copied growing up.. So our own identity was a little confused which was a frustration in itself. Now it's a little different in London because everything is so incredibly diverse. Maybe a little too much which cause even more grouping and less integration.
You're English it never used to be an issue until a few years ago. I'm 1/4 Indian, Scottish, Irish and Welsh, but I was born in England. My parents were both born in England and considered themselves English. If I decided to try and identify strongly with 1 of my grandparents countries it would be ridiculous. It's not that Danny aims to raise awareness about the identity issue. He simply wants this video to go viral, you know, to rack up more RUclips gold.
If someone made this video, I'd probably say, 'Well done! Thanks for sharing.'
Gonna be honest - I used to come to this channel for the drama but the last two videos have been genuinely compelling commentary and I pretty much agree with your points. Try and keep up this kind of calm, well thought-out content 👍

Funny how you compensate with joey now but a few videos ago you were calling him out right for "not" being japanese and that he can't be accepted
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve gone through that. Even when you say that you’re not white, that’s not entirely true - you’re both and of course you’re English. You deserve to claim the country of your origin and both sides of your heritage. It’s a shame that people can be so hateful. Wishing you well.
I have Roma and Celtic ancestry, I have absolutely no fucking clue what I'm mean to consider my self; stupid lactose intolerance as well.

When that person said that you will never be English, you should have responded with "Sound like something an Asian person would say." If you dont identity with Asian culture; why so keen to be in Thailand or Japan? If you identify as English, why do you say in another video (more recent) you dont find anything appealing in the UK or worth exploring your culture there? You live a very torn life, Daniel. You're constantly at odds with yourself.
Honestly I don't think you'd get this kind of pushback if you had any other type of audience or channel - people just dislike you so will troll you for anything you say lol... also I think a lot of people today want half white people to identify with the other side of their race for whatever reason to seem 'exotic' or whatever (even though in any other area of the world being half white would be the exotic part),

I don't talk to more than half my family cuz I don't speak spanish, neither do my parents. I don't feel Mexican in the slightest but I'm also not fully white either. Identity is complicated for most people on this island, and the more digging you do into your tree the more this becomes true. Your dad for example, definitely looked of not too distant past Irish heritage, just like I am. I'm only 3rd gen British born, technically, but nobody would ever look at me or people like me through that lens.
you can identify distant Irishness from looks...press f to doubt.

@@booshank2327 both white so it doesn't matter, west africans and east africans are so much different but they both black
Daniel you are right. I'm surprised these tools still trigger you
I don't know if you're joking or trolling.
Friendly reminder that being one part [A] and one part [B] isn't a matter of identity!
What you are is called a "mutt"! I hope I could be helpful!
So basically your a white man in an Asian person's body, based on personality? That is 100% accurate. I emphasis more with the 90s.
Two white people move to Japan and have a white child. Child is not Japanese.

You are malaysian 😂

I'm English, you're English - no need to identify as white or anything else. I guess you're "more" English than I am if your dad was English.

Most cultures and even the Bible determines what a person is by their father's lineage. You are indeed a white man if your father is truly white. I'm sorry you are going through this. You were raised in the English culture and have a good amount of that blood in you, so you are White.
