In this video I walk you though the unboxing and installing of the Dg-Direct Bracket for Doorbell.
So for someone to steel the ring all it takes is to unscrew the screw on bottom?
Thanks for watching yes
If you look very closely, even though the bottom is easily accessible to unscrew, they would still need to unscrew the four screws from the clamp plate in order to steal it, which can only be done with the clamp being removed first from inside the home once the door is opened.
@@Zeberka767 isnt it the 4 screws just to connect the actual mount to the door i think it can open whether you unscrew or not
@@AL-vg1ruIn order to remove the ring doorbell from the mount, first the mount itself has to be removed, which can only be done from inside the home, and then you will have access to the 4 screws from the back of the plate to unscrew them. Obviously, to remove the 1 screw at the bottom, there isn't any obstruction to do so. Furthermore, if the ring doorbell gets stolen, report it with Ring and they will block it from being used by others.
I bought one of these for my ring doorbell, and when I put it on the door, the door won't close. It's too thick or something. Idk.
This was so helpful!! Thank you!!!
I am glad it was helpful :)
Thanks this help a whole lot
Very helpful! Thank you
Glad you found it helpful
How do you charge your ring door bell? Take it all apart?
Yes you would have to take it out if the case to charge it.
Doesn't this mount block the motion sensor?
No I did not have any issues. Thanks for reaching out.
Interesting attachment...like not screwing holes...much more tedious changing batteries...doorbell placement doesn't look workable for folks with a screen door.
Yes agreed it probably would not be a good fit.
I have heard this box cannot be installed on out swinging doors. After watching your video, I don't see why not. I have a mesh security door on the outside of my entry door. It is outswing.
Hi Judy G, at 5:41 in the above video notice that the distance from the back of the plate to the door is almost an inch on my door. I am thinking that if my door door was out swinging then the back of the bracket would prevent it from opening.
