I loved the older keynotes from Apple. They came across very real and genuine. Nowadays there is 13 different people speaking for every single service or thing. And it's only really a video and no real feel with the audience.
yeah its less fun nowadays. But then if you look at any other presentation from any other company, you realize just how professional Apple keeps it to this day. Look at Sony's latest when they introduced their car. You cant understand a word that guy is saying lmao. And the way they talk about the car is as if they didn't really love the project. Apple has a much different approach to presenting their products. Apple still has the best and most effective presentations of any company
Nobody seems to remember this but they tried to charge $9.99 for an iOS update for iPod touch back in the day I think it was around iOS 2 or something. Serious backlash pretty much put an end to them ever doing that again. There’s a keynote of it somewhere. Back in the good old days when you could install whatever downloaded version .IPSW you could find on the internet by holding shift before updating. Everyone just did that instead of paying.
Really wish they bring live presentations back. They're so much more active and just simply better ! There's room for error sometimes, but that makes it even more comedic. The events now have great cinematography and are crafted really well, but they lack one thing, thats not being live :(

The old one had dynamism, interaction with the crowd, small jokes, winks through the 4th wall (which wasnt even there) all these prerecorded ones are so sterile that i dont think watching it in straight makes even sense… just skip skip skip… ok 15 seconds interesting… skip skip… i wish they would bring back live presentations with some old fashioned jokes. and that Tim could deliver a joke without sounding like someone is actually working on his perfect dental record :)

Which is interesting because Apple is better at stability and simplicity; they rarely have MORE features than Android. Just remember: Android had widgnets LONNGGGG before iOS did 😂

Wow. I’m struck by how genuinely fun this was. The latest Keynote by comparison felt sterile and run through a dozen committees and approvals for every word.
If Apple won't do a live keynote this year, it's gonna feel like they're distancing themselves from their customers. Yeah pre recorded presentations are easier to control and they don't have to risk with the live reaction but come on, they need to do it this year.
I remember watching this Keynote live back in 2014, the vibe from these keynotes has been ruined by the current day ones. They were actually real with real interaction and a live crowd of developers, now they are fake and purely drowned out with animation and crap. It’s a shame
