This is exactly what I was looking for! The Bundaberg Ginger Beer I normally use is just not doing it for me anymore, and it is expensive! I was craving the spice/burn of ginger in my Moscow Mule and this is the best recipe hands down. I don't even want to go out and get a Moscow Mule from a restaurant/bar anymore because I am afraid they won't be as good. For others debating on making this, you will not be disappointed! Yes, it is more work than just buying some Ginger Beer but it is really easy and worth it! FYI, I followed the exact recipe, no substitutions. Thank you!!!

Made the syrup for some moscow and kentucky mules for a party i was going too last weekend and they blew everyone away. used all the syrup too so make 2 batches IMHO. btw after this recipe and a few others I learned from your channel I’m now the bartender for every party I ever go to.

In contrast to many other channels here on RUclips that presents food and drinks this guy didn't exaggerate and went on and on about how good this tasted. He simply presented the best version of the cocktail, according to him and left the verdict to each and everyone that is going to try/have tried this recipe. Mucho respect 👍

I've tried many different bottled ginger beers/sodas for Moscow mules and this recipe is just so much better. I always have just used water and sugar instead of agave syrup and it turns out great.

    Thanks for another great video.
I tried a few different recipes with a juice extrator for my ginger roots but even with simple syrup and water the taste was allways off (too strong, too sweet or too diluded once the soda is added), never as good as a store bought ginger beer.
I love the idea of roasting pepercorn and letting it simmer on the stove, I'll definitely try that one tomorrow.

I just made a bunch of Moscow mules and dark and stormys (stormies?) with a ton of ginger options, just to see what's the best way to make this.
The overwhelming consensus is that this recipe is very much improved with just a little splash of fever tree ginger beer. So that's 2 oz of vodka or Havana 7, 1 oz of fresh lime juice, 1 oz of homemade ginger syrup as per the instructions (although I used pink peppercorns instead of black), a splash of extra fizzy club soda, and a little splash of fever tree ginger beer.
It really changes the flavour of the drink and brings all the elements together in a way that is much more reminiscent of ginger beer, while still maintaining that freshness of the ginger syrup. Thanks for the awesome recipes Nick!

I just made a whole bottle of this ginger syrup. The only change I made was using a 50/50 blend of agave nectar and mild honey instead of pure agave.
I used it in both a Moscow Mule and Dark 'N Stormy and it was outstandingly good! It's got a kick to it that even the best ginger beer could never achieve.
Thank you so much for this clean and easy recipe!

If I'm not mistaken, the music used is actually a piano arrangement of, "Fragrance of Dark Coffee," one of the themes of a character from the Ace Attorney video game series. It pairs especially well with a rainy ambient track as well as that of a city-scape.
It got me through a lot of late nights finishing schoolwork on which I'd procrastinated heavily. I imagine it also goes excellently with most drinks featured on this channel.

There are a few studies that have shown drinking out of copper mugs can cause some of the copper to leech into what you're drinking and carry possible carcinogens, but that only seems to apply to really old copper mugs or ones that haven't been taken care of properly.
