Just found this channel. I love right away how you’re not talking shit not telling people Hasbro is trash just making sound, well thought out points. Applying practicality to the hobby and how it interfaces with our everyday lives.

It's the inverse for us. Just like wanting a figure and getting it, then I don't open it and I want the next one. We see things differently than someone just peeking in.
It started with just one lousy figure Cleva, one Dora Milaje action figure sitting all alone on a shelf that I thought looked cool. Six years and 2000+ figs later, somebody needs an intervention.
That's how it always starts right? It''s almost invisible in the beginning then it just creeps up. You don't even realize the transition. One day its a figure and the next day you're a collector.
The only thing missing from this video was an organ playing in the background! Appreciate you sharing this. It’s definitely not a take you hear from collectors. 💯

Great video. The Gilgamesh Wave is probably the first thing to come to most people’s minds when thinking about bad waves. However, it’s been bad wave after bad wave since the Gilgamesh Wave, imo.
All of the MCU waves and most of the comic waves were really subpar at that point right there in my opinion. I'm really happy about the 2024 waves that have been coming out (Spider-Man and X-men 97). What gets me a lil upset about those is the fact that they have eliminated the BAF's and the accessories have suffered a little bit as well. I hope that doesn't become a thing moving forward. We'll see how it plays out. Thanks for the comment!

That's exactly how I try to look at it... plus.. if you were to get everything that you want in life it wouldn't be everything that you think its cracked up to be.
Bro, this is so on point ! Those bad waves are like a calm before the storm where I can plan my budget and buy some kicks or something else’s before I drop 3 or 4 hundred in a month because companies like Hasbro release so much stuff so close together.
Exactly! That's what I mean, I be needing that break sometimes. It starts to almost feel like a burden when it's too much back to back. Then we got all these other things that we wanna do too. Plus just hanging out or whatever, this stuff adds up so I appreciate when some trash drops lol.
Taking the time to just enjoy your collection is what i need to do especially as a new father.
First off Congrats on you becoming a father! That's what's really important! But you're right, it's always good to reflect on what you've been able to accomplish. Most people I know can't afford to collect anything. It's never a race and you're in total control.

Real talk this man’s got some points I love when the movie bombs & then figures go for cheap (eternals, captain marvel, etc)
For some of them it's cool. There are figs that I would pick up for 5.99 or 10 bucks that I wouldn't pay full price for. It's usually only the MCU figures that make it to Ross. The comic ones that I want I never seem to find. Although this past Christmas I saw a lot of people coming up off the retro waves which was new to me.

Again, I usually troll, but you’re right about appreciating the items we buy and collect… almost all of my stuff is placed in bubble wrap and put away… I forget the stuff I have sometimes… also do a room tour video and as I said the last video your 10 favorite items you own
So true! It's so easy to get wrapped up and forget what we have. Sometimes I get a figure and don't even open it and I'm on to the next one. Collecting can be slow but then it moves fast at time's like that. I actually just did a room tour and its doing pretty good. Go to my page and check out... My 2024 display setup. I didn't forget about the 10 favorite items either. I'm still thinking what they could be.
I completely agree with this. I feel the same way and have said so as well. It's nice to not want everything that's coming out. There are so many things I want or want to do and $20 spent here is $20 I can't spend there.
That's exactly how I feel. Especially these days as money isn't going as far as it used to. I was checking out your page and I see that you collect a bunch of different lines. You must deff have to be mindful in order to keep up with everything!
@ClevasMultiverse LOL. So I cherry pick hard and try never to feel like I've missed out. I rarely buy full waves and keep a hard 100 per check limit to my budget. Anytime I buy a single 24 what's left rolls over. $20 here is $20 I can't spend elsewhere so every item has to mean something for me to keep it.

Love u dawg I totally agree with u ❤️💯 some waves are horrible, but they always seem to put one good figure in the horrible wave like for instance the new cable that’s coming out. People are really hyped about that wave but me personally I only want the cable. same goes for the new astonishing wolverine that’s coming out u know the one with captain Marvel and doc oct spider man in it. like I’m passing on all them figures and only probably copping cable wolverine and Wolfbane no offense to the other figs it’s just that they really don’t interest me at the moment, maybe later on I might start collecting other marvel characters but for now my main focus. Is just on X-Men. Like you said in your collecting tips video, you don’t want to focus on multiple things at once like X-Men and Spider-Man for example because you’ll eventually get tired 🥱.
That's exactly how I feel about that upcoming wave. I want Cable and Wolfsbane and that's about it. They can have the rest, including the Tiger.

I love perceived Horrible waves cause I like getting obscure characters that people don't know about ... especially X-men world characters... I loved when they came out with Chamber, M, etc
Yeah with waves like that its easy to pick out one that you may like. Hopefully everybody else doesn't want the same one though. Then it turns into a chase. There is always a bright side, even to horrible waves! lol
A friend of mine's favorite character is Chamber, so he was really excited for that one.

I was in to DC Multiverse but dropped them this year to start collecting Hot Toys Star Wars. Before I was getting so many figures a week. I was running out of room. The newness would were off and I just felt cluttered. Now I get one Hot Toy every couple months. They mean more to me. They are quality and make me curate more
Hot Toys are official, I have a couple myself. I try my best to stay away from them because I don't wanna go broke. I also have an immediate gratification issue and I have a hard time waiting months or years to get something. My brother does Hot Toys and Statues and the build quality on those are amazing! Whenever I see someone with a major Hot Toys collection I am always impressed.
Money is scarce now. I’m only getting what I want. The MCU figures ended at end game. Buying figures that remind you of a bad movie or horrible tv show will not go on a shelf. So far I’m only waiting for the infinity gauntlet characters and the next AOA wave. These new ghost riders and his characters is pretty much a need. I’m now collecting classifieds. And that’s it.
That's exactly how I move. MCU figures are the worst in comparison to the comic versions. I didn't grow up with those movies and I don't have any attachment to them. I like buying the figures that remind me of when I was coming up and learning about comics. Figures are almost like music, they can mark time and make you remember things all of a sudden. I wanna see about that upcoming AOA wave that you mentioned. Where did you see that at? The new Ghost Rider is a must have. He's one of those characters that everyone loves.
Yeah, I got that feeling with Void baf wave, I only care about Vision, I got him and no more, sure I still need to find Crystar, but that's all.
The reason I was upset about that wave was because the only figure that I really wanted was THE VOID lol. You already know I couldn't do it. Too many I didn't want and I couldn't allow myself to do it.

Thank you! Actually I'm doing a lot better. I dislocated my ankle and broke my leg in January and I've been recovering since. That's why I had so many unboxings back to back, lol. I couldn't get in front of the camera. I like videos like this because we get to dig in and see whats really going on. Thanks again! I appreciate all of the comments and feedback!
Vaild points I'd just prefer if they just reissue the old figures more... Like dude it's been 2018 since we've gotten a ultimate Peter Parker red and blues
In my opinion, I think that they know what the guaranteed money makers are for sure. I think that they try to best to throw in things that we don't want so they can extend the catalog. For example, look at the recent Spider-Man wave. That wave is pretty dope and it doesn't even have any recent content to it.
I also think that they take for granted what we want and what we can realistically do. In 2017 - 2018 I would literally come home with garbage bags full of new figures. The prices were lower and the availability was there. They see things like that and they think it's always going to be that way. In some ways it's not even Hasbro's fault because I know that a lot of their figure releases are tied to the current movie content. After EndGame, the MCU went downhill and pulled Hasbro down with them. Hasbro had to let go over 2000 employees. Instead of saying, I guess people have opinions and want what they want, they go the other route and say that collecting is dead and they should make less as a result. It's totally backwards thinking honestly.
Peter Parker is always going to be a hit, which is why the last one was a double pack. They know that people are going to pick him up even if they package him with a fire hydrant. So they keep figures like that in the stash and give us things that we REALLY WANT like ...Shuri figures and copters lmao.

Damn of ALL TIME?? That's a tough one right there. I mean they have the greats like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle , Joe Dimaggio, etc. But I never saw them actually play. I'm an 80's baby (42) so I'll go with my era. I would say, Mariano Rivera (Best Closer), Derek Jeter (Best Shortstop) and Aaron Judge (Favorite Slugger).
I did kinda like A-rod but I feel like his contract really messed things up and then he was sitting down for so long I had to scratch him off.
Truth be told, Football is really more my thing but I just can't rock those fitted's. That NY fitted is a NY staple!
