So glad I found this chanel. I grew up in the 90's in the philippines and the animated series was huge!! I also recently re-started my ml xmen collection after selling my collection 6 years ago, and your guide to collecting helps alot
@@ClevasMultiverse im more focused now, like you said in your video. Strictly focusing on xmen, and now my collection of 10 jim lee xmen is better than 30 randon marvel legends
You gotta admit the reason why this show is so good is not only the writing, the voice actors, the visuals, but just the years that the old seasons have marinated, and this one season brought all those emotions back into truly a masterpiece.
Fellow 80’s baby here who also fell in love with comics cause of X-men. This show was everything I never knew I needed it’s some of the best media I’ve ever consumed period.
I'm Sooo glad that I'm not the only 1 that feels that way. I'm over here hoping that they work their way up to an X-Men animated movie. Like the Miles Morales Spider Verse! I can see that being a big deal right there. The writing and the storytelling just has to remain as it is.... it's not broke so don't fix it right?
Fam seeing content like yours gives me so much validation towards my feelings with this show, you are not alone out here lol. Yeah I’m hoping man for movies to come from this. I think this show is going to change the game for the better. Also hope the people left in the writers room are just as dedicated as they were when beau was in charge.
This show felt like a feature length film in the first 15 minutes. Every episode really if a two hour movie had as much happening as 15 minutes of this show it's a good movie. The funeral felt like the first half of a movie. Two minutes of screen time.
I remember checking every 5 minutes to see how much time was left on the episodes. They need to make this into a movie and I bet it would sell more than Spider-Verse!
@@ClevasMultiverse I remember him doing that in the original cartoon to mess with wolverine. There is a version of him in the exiles comic books that changes into non X-men characters. He turns into a power ranger in 1 panel
Also, I would like to add ....let's give credit to the creator of Xmen 97, Beau DeMayo. He is a fan himself as he watched the OG series back in the 90s, like most of us who are in our 30s/40s now, as he read comic books himself. So Marvel Animation struck a gold when they hired him. Even though he is now fired, I know he wrote season 2 already, and the Studio proclaimed they will "honor" his script for season 2, but he won't have any production input as he had in season 1. I am curious, to see how the seasons progress without his "pen game" and knowledge, as Marvel (as of late) has had a tendency to hire people to be involved with these movies/shows who don't know the source material.
Beau Demayo is the MAN! I also love the fact that any writer that wanted to be involved in the series also had to be a FAN! I'm still not sure why he got fired in the first place but nah... they need to bring him back ASAP!
When I don't have anything to watch I find myself just going back and re-watching. It's like it never gets old lol. They need to up the episode count to like 20-25 like a CW show.
In my head I'm like... we just got them back WTF!!! Plus the whole Rogue, Magneto, Gambit thing had just happened. Rogue crying at the end really hit.... This 100% did not feel like a cartoon.
Super Solid!!!.. the only thing that I'm scared of is how fast they are running through plot lines.... I don't want them to do what Game of Thrones did... but mannnn. This show was EPIC!
They have always been the squad to me! If they would of had the film rights to them to begin with we might not even know the Avengers like that. It most likely would have been them!
I can't lie, after the past few years I thought they were going to drop the ball on this one too but after the 1st episode I was all in. I hope they keep the same energy for whatever they have left for the MCU.
I really had bad expectations for it and I refuse to support Disney right now but they really did their thing with this series. I was re-watching the older series and now I'm hoping that they'll increase the episode count for the upcoming seasons. 10 episodes are just not enough. They should increase the screen time too and make them an hour each!
@@ClevasMultiverse they certainly should I hope this green lights for more marvel shows like this in the near future the old 90’s X-Men cartoons I loved it but felt more like it was mostly about Wolverine I’m glad the character took a back seat n Cyclops was a badass this time Jean did the odd fight scene and not need rescuing all the time X-Men 97 nailed it
@@slimscrim My worry is that they will burn through plot points like Game of Thrones did. I hope they don't, they have a good thing on their hands right now. let's see what they do now....
We're probably the last that had a little bit of everything. Old enough to have cell phones but at the same time I remember when only drug dealers and doctors had the Zach Morris cell phone. Remember beepers lol? I think this is why we tap into these things, it's because we actually remember. I used to wake up early on Saturday mornings just for the cartoons. There was no on demand and I didn't wanna miss that for anything. Honestly, I wouldn't wanna be in any other generation. That's like the sweet spot right there.
The animation just doesn't have the junk fluff of the original. The original kinda implied anything intricate. This doesn't break the magic. It'd be cheap and worth it to smooth the animation of the original. Just update the look with this process. Like Star Trek remastered where everyone looks like a brand new mustang back from the polishers. Would up the quality a bit. Unnecessary but fun.

I like that they gave morph/changeling his comic book accurate look
Yeah I can agree with that and I also like how they use him to add in every cameo possible!

And they could do that for the off season - between the new episodes so we could just keep it flowing.
