I remember my store got this set 3 weeks after Magic Ruler came out....Konomi made a major error and released the box set 5 weeks ahead of schedule....the pack I bought had Premature Burial which I used all the way till it got banned...people from other parts of NYC in '04 were confused as hell about how did I get that card😂😂😂😂😂😂
Man’s really got almost everything out of this box 😂
Back then there was only 2 Secret Rare per box, one Hobby Secret and one Retail Secret, and each box had a guaranteed one.
@@Undravethere is no guarantee for Secrets for both Hobby and Retail Boxes. There are so many openings here on YT where people did not get one. And I mean the the old boxes, OG prints and 1st Editions.😅
Jinzo and Thousand Eyes Restrict are indeed the best pulls from that set. ✅
I loved this set back in the day. I don't know how many of these packs I had gotten back in the day but I know I have so many of these cards still in boxes in my basement.
Even after all these years I still wish Magical Hats had been a Quick-Play Spell card.
Even for nostalgia it's just not worth buying these packs because 99% of these cards are just going to sit in a box forgotten and never be used. 😶
But enough about modern yugioh packs

I have been enjoying the 25th Anniversary Legendary Collection. Brings me back to middle school. I am so hyped to open a couple of the 25th anniversary booster boxes. I’m planning to for sure get an invasion of chaos box. Not sure what else. Though I do wish they would have printed the foils in the same style as the original.
I'm actually glad they printed the foils in the new style. These cards actually have their own identity, unlike the 2014 and 2017 packs which just look like bootleg versions of the originals. No different from how the 2004 re-release of LOB-PSV boxes had "EN" and "Spell Card" on them along with updated card text (such as clarifying what Polymerization actually does, and removing the "negate" from Mirror Force).
My main problem with these new printings is with one card: Chaos Emperor Dragon. Couldn't they have kept the old effect on it?
Gearfried the Iron Knight was in my first deck, and my brother had a secret rare Jinzo, so that was quite nostalgic
This set was the VERY FIRST booster pack I ever bought in the 2000s and Dimension Hole was there rare I pulled! This video just unlocked that memory and it's so nostalgic!!

That'd just kill Labrynth and Dinomorphia. Even if you could get Silver Mommy on board or a Dinomorphia Fusion, you're not going to go that far after that spell's activation.
so do we expect the ratios to remain about the same as the original sets? 4 Super and 2 Ultra with 1 potential Secret?

Do you guys think I could write to Konami to try and make sustainable packaging for the cards? I love buying product too, instead of singles from the secondary market, but the amount of silver foil packaging they use all goes to landfill. If yes, which division would receive that feedback?
Sustainable stuff it's a scam tho, they would waste as much water and utilize as much electricity. The only thing stopping pollution and resources' explotation it's halting production al together

Ooof PSV... I remember opening this thing whil working in a convinience store. Nobody was buying any and I just emptied it on my own :p and I never got a secret somehow -_- so many awful trap cards in there too.
I don't play anymore but this 25th anniversary stuff is making me want to buy some just for collection and nostalgia

I was surprised to see any of the cards holding any kind of value given how many copies are going to be floating around in NM condition now
Even if they were all rarity bumped it still wouldn't be worth buying even just for nostalgia. The only way it would be worth it would be if Yugioh had a classic format but they don't.
@@LunaticKD1991 They do have time wizard events of Goat, and Edison format. Plus is not hard to find people that exclusively play these types of old yugioh formats
I still think the only reason why a lot of people choose to play older formats because of the nostalgia and you able to play the game. The problem is that the game has too many negates where the only objective is to make your opponent not do anything. It's just a pallet cleanser to the constant negates your opponent drops.
