Mrs. Tennessee, Oh the memories! About 3 times a week and hardly on Sundays. My mom could cook a pot with no broken beans in it! They are delicious anytime and still my favorite bean! That ham hock is the bomb, and I just ordered some Chow Chow!😊

Great ham hocks and beans meal, Tennessee North. This brings back sweet memories of how my grandmother (Mama) cooked at our home. She lived with us. Mother (MuDear) was working 2-3 jobs and cooked awesome meals on her rare off days. My best memories are meals like this, usually with cabbage or greens, and fried chicken or pork chops. Since the doctor told me in 1982 to avoid pork, it took a while before it became common to use smoked turkey. I love watching you cook and listening to your commentary. You’re right again. Why indeed. I did teach my children to be nice. Once they grew up, they decided when to and when not to, I guess. At least, I don’t usually find it on social media. Being kind is important. I don’t understand it any more than you do. It shows that you’re a good person. It ought to be the natural order of our interactions. It’s unfortunate that there are people who find pleasure in being unkind. Obviously, they are hurting and need love. Saying mean things isn’t the way to get that kind of attention. For tenderizing maybe? Also, I have a friend who always puts peanut butter in her soup beans 🫘 and it thickens the soup. Personally, I like my soup not so thick, but I tried it and it does taste good. No peanut butter taste at all. About being kind…it is so much easier than being ugly to others. We don’t know what they’ve been through. Even when it comes to the rude remarks some make on comments on some of these YT channels.
