Tip my grandmother, who passed away at 108 yrs old, used to make a pot of collards and mustard greens that was so delicious! She would've loved to have watched you cook this! The only bad thing about cooking collards and mustard greens is that you can cook what you think would make an enormous amount only to have it cook down to nothing! But it tastes sooo good!
😅🤗🥰💜🙇♀️
Just made a pot of greens last night! 🥰 I had a craving after watching the “U Name It” challenge 😉😂

I'm glad, I"m back! on. you're channel,"s♥️♥️✌🏿🤷🏽♂️
That looks fire as usual! Yes use more smoked Turkey that other meat is jus too much fat! 👍love from cali!!! I love ya southern accent
Speak for itself, I was taught by a lady from Boston, Ga. & she used every kind of regular pork she could think of, bacon, ham hocks, rib tips, fatback w/all that grease & that is the only way I know how to cook collard greens. My doctor has pulled me off pork meat & everything else, but I might cook me a pot once every three to four months. I might be deranged but I'm not crazy, I only cook them for myself once or twice a year.
I'm old now & can't enjoy life like I used to, but I be dag blamed if I'm gonna give up everything, maybe not as much but not totally, I might as well die, which I'm gonna do eventually. So be it!
Yummy yum. Tip those are two of my happy foods.
Hey Tip, good to see you.

I'm from the south and I've never heard of bastard bread. May I ask what it is?
Corn bread
@@tricetaylor7918 I thought so but why call it bastard bread? I'm just curious and confused
@@capricornqueen6916 people call stuff different things. It usually depends on whatever your mama or granny called it. My granny called oven bread corn bread, but if she cooked it like Tip she would call them hoecakes, and it's the same batter for both. Now my kids don't know what a hoecake is.
it's really called hot water cornbread
I never heard of bastard bread, but it look just like a hoecake, which I have made!
It looks good

Hey Tip, sorry I'm late to view but I watched today and I loved it, thought I was in the kitchen with you I love it
Hey Tip
Yummy
Oh I thought Liyah was taping you. I haven't mastered cooking collards yet.
Hey Ms Tip
Everytime she says bastard bread I have to laugh.🤣🤣🤣
Who wants to eat greasy greens and you fried everything except the rice? WoW!
If u knew how good it is, u would want greasy greens & fried foods, but I guess u were brought up on McDonalds, Wendy's & Burger King or some other restaurant. Everybody's not wealthy like u & can't afford to go to these "5 star restaurants" so they had to learn how to cook, & cook whatever was available & at their disposal. Now what was at their disposal has been taken away by u people & fancied up (ox tails, short ribs, wild life & ect.) now cost an arm & a leg @ the grocery store. So before u put people down about what they eat, think that just maybe u/or ur ancestors put those people in that position? Think about it, if u have a brain!
YUMMY YUM TIP!!! Wish I was there😍 #plateplease🍽🍹keep on doing what you doing!!! BEBLESSED 🙏🏽
Looks so good

Did I kiss how.long the greens are supposed to cook
hey Tip Diva! work that thang! you go girl!!
Tip would you consider making mustard greens with ham hocks. My grandmother used to make this and would love to see you recreate it with that special flare you have for making southern food so delicious.
Yes
My mom made cornmeal dumplins. It's cornmeal held together with just the right amount of water, add salt & pat them out in round patties & boil them on top of greens. Your whole supper could be cooked in one big pot. A lot of women in NC cooked their greens that way & it made a delicious meal. Fried cornbread usually has flour added to the meal & chopped onions & cooked in patty form. Hot water cornbread usually has no flour & just add boiling water & salt & fry in patty form. U have to know when to stop adding hot water to these so u get the right consistency & they won't fall apart when making them into patties!
Yes
I'm sure it's gonna be good 🤤🤤🤤🤤
I watched this purely to see what in the world was Bastard bread only to find out it was Hot Water Cornbread....girl
Cooking Wit Tip this food looks delicious!!!!!!! Never heard of bastard bread.
Love you
Hey Tip, Miss ya 🍽❤💯
