Born in Georgia raised in Louisiana and she had 18 kids, 15 boys and 3 girls so all her meals were huge. She never used a recipe or measured, she knew it all by heart. I've been binge watching your videos. I heard you mention what we called "hot water" cornbread and turkey necks. OMG turkey necks with gravy over rice and hot water cornbread... was one of my favorite Big Mama meals. I did it Tip, I haven't baked a pie in years. I love to cook, but get anxious about pie crust. I did it exactly like you but only used 3/4 stick of BUTTER. It turned out well, just took it out of the oven after 1 hour 10 minutes. Fabulous and it looks and smells wonderful. Going to get ice cream and fry some wings to go with my egg Foo Young from my favorite Chinese restaurant. Thanks a lot for this video.
