Sheriece Malone Amen. Jealousy is obvious here. And I don’t appreciate the shift going on about how much this young man chargers to make a huge amount for family. Obviously he is making a very small dish for the show. This is just wrong. I wish this young man all the best and will continue to watch him and I love this recipe . Personally what he charges for a huge peach cobbler for a large family at some high-end restaurants they would’ve charged more than 50 some dollars. I don’t like the way he was treated on this show

I was very interested in listening to Kayden tell about how to make his peach cobbler But did not appreciate the chef talking about himself so much and trying to take over. I feel that it was disrespectful it looked kind of shady. And then he said about letting him bake the cakes and tried to plug in sales for a baking job. We don’t need a science lesson. I feel that he was trying to push his experience. Personally all of the spices that Kayden used to use in cobbler‘s and other things with peaches. It makes food very aromatic and very tasty. I also do not appreciate him putting prices out there. First of all Kayden Was making a small amount for the show here and so it would’ve only been not as much had it been for a large family. I didn’t appreciate him going on about how much Kayden charge for this peach cobbler. POWER, ingredients, knowledge, time and everything else is worth something and I would have paid that amount with no problem. When I was in college back in the 70s are used to charge some of my friends $20 to make a chicken casserole from my back home family recipe. They paid it with no problem and I was able to make a few extra dollars in the process. This is just really disturbing me is taking over this interview or whatever you call it and also keep talking about how much he charges it. I’m really disgusted right now. And I am sorry that he was treated in such away. There’s no sense in this at all. I just think that this chef is upset because he’s been doing this for 10 years and here comes this guy this young man and gets a break. We need to be happy for other people not so self-absorbed. This is just really wrong. Someone made a comment and I mean no disrespect but this has nothing to do with race this has to do with jealousy. Plain and simple. I wish Kayden all the best and I love watching him.

Agreed. Kayden was a sweetheart. I would have told dave who is in Hollywood and who isn't. The recipe doesn't have the amount of peaches and instead of saying two cups of sugar you think it's a typo. Baker dave is tripping and jealous.
Not all peach cobblers are the same. Notice Kalen is just quiet and being nice. He said he didnt wanna do anything to ruin Kalens recipe...yeah you did...and Kalen is a great cook and baker and looks outside the box. Stop giving Kalen a hard time with allspice you chef are jealous cause Kalen found a spice that works. Kalens Cobbler has a pie crust so what thats why its HIS. I cant see this no more

I thought this was supposed to be Kayden’s recipe. Not the chef. And ours was raised on a farm and from the south and when I make sweet potato pie Or a pumpkin pie or peach cobbler or apple cobbler I use the same spices because they are very comforting they bring out a wonderful flavor and are very aromatic. I am just so upset over this and have the young man fix the cobbler the way he fixes it.

Damn Chef, you just tried to take over. You would ask him a question n then talk over him mid answer. Then, making him feel bad for using “cheap” ingredients and for HIS baking techniques. Kalen cooks the way our grammas showed us. POC were taught to cook by using our eyes to measure, and by taste. Also, we are taught to cook with LOVE!!!

Trust me people Baker Dave would be a great mentor to this young man.Just two different personalities to keep the excitement going.Chefs never want to give any advice to anyone most are mean and grumpy.Chef Dave can open a lot of doors for him .I can tell Chef Dave like and admires him.I know after the show Chef Dave gave him some valuable information .Sometimes Constructive criticism is not a bad thing especially from a master of the game.

I was turned off my him using his hands to mix the ingredients. Please use a large spoon. Hands are necessary but not to mix or stir peach cobbler.

Hi l don’t know where you go Shopping but the really the Butter alone if not on Sale alone is about $6.99 or $7.99 plus .!
I only use Very good ingredients always and Pure Vanilla is about $7.00 to $8.00 the good Cinnamon l like McCormicks Spices this what l use and l and use fresh lemon 🍋 juice and pure Kane sugar and cornstarch too And AP Flour but when these Ingredients are NOT On Sale They can be and Are Very Expensive you can’t make this dessert For $10.00 even if you don’t use good top ingredients and use Store Brand it Will Still Be More Then $10.00 !
I like to make the homemade Cobbler on my peaches and Not the pie crust,🥧🍑but they both work.

Thank you for watching. May I suggest Aldi, I often find high quality ingredients at a reasonable price. Real vanilla is the killer on cost nowadays. I paid $35 the other day at Costco for it, and that is a good price. I applaud your commitment to quality.

I can't believe you told that he "added so much nonsense to this cobbler" ! ! What ? ? ? Are you kidding me? Why would you insult your guest like that? Where are your manners? Or do you not have any?? Where does the recipe say how much peaches you put in? Is it one large can or two? And why is the amount of peaches not written on the recipe? Are the peaches drained? Or do you use the juice? And if so, how much of the juice? The recipe is totally incomplete without showing how many ounces of peaches, and how much juice. And why does it say one cup sugar, then the cornstarch, then AGAIN 1 cup of sugar? Is one brown and one white? Or should it really say 2 cups of sugar? What's going on with two separate entries for sugar? If you're going to make a peach cobbler, it would help to list peaches on the recipe. What chef would fail to do so???
Now I will say that I think the Chef was a bit of douche, but I will echo the thing about the interlocking and weaving the crust. I can't stand when crust pieces are not weaved on top. And the only way you're going to learn how, is just to do it.
