Precision Instrument 3 taps any resilience with an overshield which is huge for 3's, barricade and revive shields. On top of the reduced damage falloff you can 3 tap up to 44m. S-tier perk imo.
Super underrated perk. It reminds me of lunas howl or a hand cannons target lock. It’s extreme forgiving and landing two back to back head shots always guarantees the three tap whether it’s body or head shot.
Probably because it doesn't need more than 2 crits and a body hit to kill. Its already consistent and forgiving. I'd probably go with Moving Target unless you want Eye to help your accuracy when airborne and you get shot at.
The IH I got this last craftening weekend is my first ever. its an adept with fluted barrel ricochet rounds rangefinder and golden tricorn. With a radiant build it feels like kill clip but I don't have to reload. I'm in love with it
I got 2 adept rolls : 1st : Full bore/ small bore, armor piercing, rapid hit and opening shot with stability MW. 2: small bore, armor piercing, keep away and golden tricorn with handling masterwork. Both are good in its own ways. Still aiming for full bore or hammer forge with ricochet rounds, keep away and opening shot with range masterwork.
I love my roll with with eots and fragile focus and arrowheadbrake with ricc r. Sitting at 80 range fragile boosts it to the cap range master and stability mod. Sitting at max range 58stab and 50 handeling with 100 recoil.
I somehow managed to go flawless monday night for the first time ever and got an encore eye of the storm roll. Everything else wasnt great but the gun feels so good, so now im going to cross my fingers and try to go flawless again this weekend and go for a jeep away roll.
@@dvb8637 the servers weren't stable. Kept getting kicked out of matchmaking. I was gonna farm early Tuesday morning but they shut down the servers a couple hours early. That aside, pretty sure adepts only drop once you get your card to seven wins flawlessly.
I got one last weekend with smallbore, ricochet rounds, Keep Away + OS, with a range masterwork. Threw an adept stability and it’s a beast. Might even replace my old Rapid Hit + Celerity roll.
I have farmed over 40 igneous hammers this weekend and not a single one has had keep away + a last column that isn’t incandescent/frenzy. So frustrating lmao.
I have an old one with quick draw and snapshot sights which I don't know if I can replace honestly. Those 2 perks negate most of the draw backs of a 120. Slap on some solar holster mods and equip chappy and I'm cooking!
The value that you get from Golden Tricorn on Igneous is different from what you’re trying to make it out to be. Igneous is a consistency Hand Cannon, meaning is not a two tapping Hand Cannon. With one stack of Golden Tricorn you can 2 headshot and 1 body someone and it also gives you indirect Range. They were so many times I had I missed a headshot and I was still able to three tap someone with Golden Tricorn.
I managed 2 good igneous hammers this weekend. Keep Away and EotS or Rapid Hit Opening Shot. I'm super happy even with the bugged guns I made a flawless.
The big question that I feel is always ignored- is it worth grinding for the non-adept version? Most people are unable to go Flawless and all of these reviews go over the Adept version (notably adept range). Is the time spent going for the base version worth it, or should those unable to go Flawless pursue other 120's (like Round Robin)?

I have a smallbore, flared mag, quickdraw, and opening shot with a range MW and honestly it slaps. I know it’s not the best roll but I’m reaching 92 with an adept range mod. I don’t noticed the 10 range difference with the mod so I’ve been running an adept icarus mod and it feels great
i got rapid hit and eye of storm with corkskrew high caliber and range master work thats literally perfect because its so consistent and the bad reload speed is countered by rapid hit
I still really like round robin with it’s 2 tap and nano rocket origin trait with all these 100 resilience players is amazing, but I do agree igneous does feel better

Imo the igneous isn't better than the old version. Celerity is so damn good, and once you've used it with Celerity it's hard to go back. If you have an old adept igneous i suggest that over the new one. The new one is still incredible for people who never had it before.
I wished I played the game back then. I got rf eots with 97 range (mw + adept mod) and it just feels so sticky. Eots helps me with handling when I need it but I would prefer celerity so I had it when I'm not getting blasted up by three people lol
Celerity is so good for that handling, no need for another igneous for me, not that I’ll ever get a flawless again, switched to pc since back then and it’s hell compared to console

I got Encore/EoS. Once you EoS helps you get that first kill, Encore takes the lead and it starts feeling mega steady with that range & stability bump.

Yes and because of that both rolls have situation where they can shine. OS: you land a bodyshot with a snipe and switch to igneous. Or enemy is low by teammate and slides away. With OS u might get the Headshot instead of Bodyshot EOTS: end of the Duel, bothe are low, both Flinching each other. Helps to get the last needed HS.
yep armored piercing rounds need some kind of a buff and ricochet needs to be slightly nerfed (nerf the amount of stab it gives and/or put negative handling) light mag is overlooked so often even though it's better than armored piercing rounds and hi cal (at least on 120s since 120s flinch a lot already)

Targeted redaction is in my opinion better for void warlock because it doesn’t have as strong of an ability regen loop. Igneous works extremely well for all classes though and has a fun niche with something like peregrine greaves and arthyrys’ embrace.
I got lucky on my first Igneous Hammer Adept, mine has Smallbore / Arrowhead Brake - Light Mag / Appended Mag - Keepaway - Precision Instrument / Opening Shot. Only thing on it that wish was different was having High Cal instead of the Mags for that extra flinch, then that would be the perfect roll for me. it definitely feels really good. I started rocking Conditional Finality and zooming around maps on my Warlock just popping people from Scout Rifle ranges and if anyone gets too close they get a face full of Icy/Hot haha. I also started to rock a healing nade instead of my normal Firebolt when using this setup. It genuinely feels good, especially since I normally rock Pulse Rifles, SMGs, Snipers and Vex, I rarely run Hand Cannons and Shotguns. However with this build its just fun zipping and dipping around corners and popping people and chucking my healing nade at teammates while they are in a fight.
I dont like igneous never have never will but if i had to pick a roll, fluted, richocet, keep away and opening shot and either a range or handling masterwork. I like my 120s to have alot of handling to make them not feel like ass.
These live videos aren't "Review". Your old style where you used to test multiple roles and give your opinions is best format. This looks more like a "showcase" than a review. Just looking at perks we know what perks works. Previously, in your old style format, you used to test all potential rolls and give your thoughts. This review method worked because sometimes even if perks are good some of them doesn't feel good for that perticular weapon. So yeah I'd like to see old format videos.
Igneous is the best 120 in the energy slot. Sturm is still the king in the kinetic. At least for me, who's a sidearm main. One kill with drang and you can immediately 2-tap with Sturm.

The other perk that has been amazing since all of the reworks, especially on this weapon, is Moving Target. It's so useful in so many situations

Personally I am going for keep away then will be happy with eye of storm/opening shot or moving target. Hopefully with a mix of range and handling.
CoolGuy's got a video on this - Frostees, Acrobat's Dodge and that fragment that refreshes Radiant on solar kills let's you 2-tap more consistently.

It's worth it. I like to use Icarus on it and the adept version is only slightly better.
Yes it is worth it. 10 stat I to range or stability maters but not that much as to invalidate the weapon if not adept.
Im 0.7 and i go flawless. Just run your head into the wall untill you get lucky

Keep away + Percision instrument is pretty good. I've had a few 2 tap scenarios with 3x solar dmg increase.
and it technically pushes out the 3 tap range too so its a win win. Iirc max range is like 40.5m so a meter or so past that is mental

Switch to the light mag instead of armor pierce on your roll. You literally get 5 range either way, only you are leaving 10 reload speed on the table

Igneous can 2C 1B so I also don't believe that Eye of the Storm is necessary. It makes much more sense on 140s that need all 3 crits under fire.

For some reason I can’t seem to aim with the igneous hammer, I can with any other of my hand cannons but not the igneous

Igneous is the best 120 in the energy slot. Sturm is still the king in the kinetic. At least for me, who's a sidearm main. One kill with drang and you can immediately 2-tap with Sturm.
Keep away with moving target feels nice.
The new one is cool and all but it doesn't beat the rampage days. Fun times before it was nerfed.
Titans are the reason I fell at the gates twice in row this weekend… smfh
