Yeah, it’s a bummer. I still want to try slickdraw,
Its model is incredibly clean, visually-pleasant, has good sights
Its SFX are distinctive and fit the gun perfectly
Its stat package is excellent no matter how you choose to distribute it, and its perk pool (especially the old one, jury’s out on the new one until people get and use the new one more) is stacked
I think it is genuinely the most perfect legendary gun ever made for PvP usage
Exactly how I feel, it has so much going for it
Keep away is one of my favorite perks since the RF nerf, super excited that i can get it on igneous
I had been using 140s because the reload speed made them feel so much better, but this makes it absolutely clear why I should Get Good with a 120. Thanks jazz!

Yeah if you like a snappy reload an Igneous with Rapid Hit is what you want, it feels like a 140 reload
That or Keep Away
Also, I have Ig Hamm with Keep Away and the reload is about the same as a 140 (better with solar loaders).

it’s actually more balanced now then ever before. quickest flawless i’ve ever ran. just gotta learn the play style. shotgun hand cannon is the way to go. trust me this is more balanced than if it were
normal
I think the fragile focus eye of storm roll is the perfect yin Yang synergy to guarantee you’ll always have a perk active
Yeah that's a good alternative to keep away. I just the bonus to 5% bonus to accuracy and boost to reload speed are a bit more useful than the extra 10 range in fragile focus
i wish i got a Keep away roll but i ended up getting fragile opening oh well i give up on farming one

@@gravity-arbor Well I think the idea is that eye of the storm compensates for what you lose in fragile focus. Definitely depends on the range you're at though

Added you on Bungie, great vid covering an iconic weapon, I never got an original adept this was my first on I had a regular roll with Quickdraw and snap which has held me over but finally having an adept with a decent roll hits different!

The best Igneous adept roll I got this weekend was encore/eye of the storm. It’s not the best roll ever but the thing that makes the gun so good for me is how smooth it feels on controller. I still have my old one with quickdraw/snapshot that I fell in love with. I hate using 120s but Igneous is the exception. While I would’ve preferred keep away or rapid hit, encore is still pretty nice for that range and stability boost after the first kill and EotS is just the icing on the cake.
I've actually never used a weapon with encore on it. I've gotten a few to drop with it so I'll give it a try after the glitch is fixed. I think that original one you have is great tho

@@jazzinyourfacesyeah, encore is better now after the buff. You get +5 range and +8 stability with each stack. Headshot final blows give you double stacks so you’d have +10 range and +16 stability after the first headshot kill. The buff lasts 7 seconds and can be refreshed after every kill. Pretty nice, isn’t it?
I love when people stick to a weapon for a long time. Made me wish I didn't stop using Piece of Mind, I LOVED using that in PVP (love the sound too). Being the "Igneous guy" is a cool badge to wear.

Thanks! If you can, I'd try for another one with something other than rampage. It doesn't as much now that it can't 2 tap as easily, and other perks in that column can make the gun feel even better

Sweet video. Clean and to the point. I've used 120s A LOT. Cutting my teeth on Sturm in year 1. Its good to see some of the instinctive reasons why I tended to gravitate towards them being explicitly listed. Its funny because I typically don't gravitate to "slow and big damage" in most games/FPSes except for Destiny. The importance of maximizing damage output while minimizing damage received along with general consistency is what kept me using them. A 120 on a team with 140s can really put in some work with team shots.
Sturm (with Catalyst) has a stat line that is quite silly but Igneous is far more modular and does not gobble up your exotic slot. I wasn't really big on Igneous when it first was introduced ( I had OK rolls if I recall) but In this second coming I've really taken a shine to it.

This explains why my rapid hit + disruption break bottom dollar feels so good in 3’s.

good and fun analysis! i just went into trials this past weekend to get a new adept and i got hammer/ricochet/keep away/moving target/range MW! i wanted a little more handling bc i want to use adept icarus, but holy shit i love this gun! it’s absolutely worth the grind
What a great to the point video! Yeah! I love this hc, and I have been honestly struggling in this meta. I went flawless today and got two 4,5 out of 5 rolls. And yeah… I am enjoying them soo much. Really brought the joy in pvp back and the igneous seem to fit my plat style.

I got 2 adepts yesterday. Rapid moving targ and slickdraw eye of the storm which synergizes really well and feels absolutely insane. Felt like I had ophids on my titan

I have a smallbore, ricochet rounds, fragile focus, moving target with a stability masterwork, and it’s honestly the best feeling weapon I’ve used in a while. I have 100 range with fragile and 70 stability with a stability mod, it just feels so consistent and crisp. Keep away would be nice but I think this will be the roll I stick with!

Been using my old hammer with quick draw/ celerity or rapid/ celerity and figured I didn’t need the new igneous. Boy I was wrong! I got me a keep away/ EOS roll this weekend and my god , I vaulted the old ones so fast! Best feeling HC ived used in a long time. Btw you just got a new sub
I've been running Igneous since Season of the chosen and It's by far my favorite PvP Hand cannon.
The roll I've been rocking is:
Fluted, Light mag, Quickdraw and Celerity. (Handling MW) and Adept +10 range mod.
So the stats end up being.
83 Range
43 Stability
82 Handling
63 Reload
This roll has been the literal backbone of my PvP loadout.
The reason I still value Quickdraw is because it makes it incredible for finishing someone off in case you hit a body shot with an Aggressive sniper and the remaining 82 handling just makes it feel snappy without having to switch it in.
as for Light mag I just value reload a lot and since its both reload and range it just suited my taste perfectly.
Yup that's great for swapping! I used to have a roll just like that, but when cleaning my vault, i decided to stick with the rapid hit/moving target combo
Great video! I’m too old to be a great player anymore, so struggle to get flawless. Got carried and fortunate enough to get a godroll Immortal, and as a result of the glitch this week I actually ended up getting flawless here too for a second time ever! I managed to snatch an envious roll of this weapon: Fluted, Ricochet, K.A, EoTS, Range MW, adept. My PvP friends hate me for getting it!

I got an encore opening shot roll on an adept version and I absolutely love how it feels on controller, my personal god roll would be encore eye of the storm, but having that extra range and accuracy on the 1st shot of every fight pretty much is nothing to complain about lol
Never tried it with encore tbh, what's the reason that you like it so much?
@@jazzinyourfaces I think it's just because it's relatively easy to get a stack going, you don't need to do anything special it's literally just shoot the gun get a kill and play the game lmao, the extra stack as well for getting a precision kill is really nice and on controller at least is very very noticeable, I also think I like it a lot with opening shot cuz you're getting a +35 range bonus after 1 precision kill which can catch a hell of a lot of players out

I just chuckled at the rule of "only 1 120 per team" and then closed it
I’ve been an avid user of 120s and felt they had potential back when they were 110s. I have collected every 120 I can based on how unique they are perk potential wise. Despite not being able to get a feel for Igneous despite how much of a monster it is on paper it has my respect nonetheless. My loyalty still probably lies with Bottom Dollar in the energy and Steady Hand in my Kinetic…
I was a huge fan of 110s too! I remember pairing them with the arc titan perk that gave a damage buff when sliding over ammo bricks and getting easy 2 taps
I know a lot of other people that stick to Bottom Dollar too. The explosive rounds on it really makes it punch

Great Video and have to agree with you about the Igneous Hammer being so good. Have got a few including 5 Adept. The 2 recent Adept Rolls I got were RF and frenzy or Incandescent with a handling MW and Fragile Focus and Golden Tricorn with a Reload Speed MW. Not the Best. The Igneous I use the most has Rapid Hit and Opening Shot with a Range MW. Keep up the Great Work.

Ive been rocking encore and moving target on my main igneus, feels great sitting at 90 range and 100 about 80% of the time with encore. If i had the adept, more handling or stability for the adept mod but its so good i personally think it doesnt need it.

Hey Jazz. Thanks for explaining why 120s are can hang in this current sandbox and show me why Igneous Hammer is the best outta the family. I might try it out because I did reach 100 kills with one I found in the Vault and it felt really good to use in Crucible. As I am typing this the DDOSING is still active which is pushing me away, but when it's gone I might take Igneous for a spin once again. And for Trials, I might hit you up in case I want to do them but do not expect much out of me.

you may have mentioned this and I missed it, but one of the most significant benefits of 120s when playing at a high skill bracket is facilitating team shot kills. If you’re playing with a coordinated team one or two 120 body shots could be enough to completely swing a round in your team’s favor.

Got lucky I played this morning before everybody was running glitched guns and managed to pick up an adept with smallbore, flared magwell, encore and eots with a stability masterwork. First quickplay game using it I get a we ran. When encore procs and gets those stacks its super nasty.
Beautiful roll! Yeah, because I was finishing up this, I had to slog through a card with the glitches. Most miserable card of my life lol, but I got it thankfully
@@jazzinyourfaces yeah its bad. I was going to farm just to see if I could get a roll with ricochet rounds and looked in fireteam finder and everybody was asking people to run it. Either Bungie had this planned out to run like scorched or alot of people are going to get banned. Every time a gun with high anticipation drops there is always an issue. With Exalted Truth it was the infinite passage turn in, with immortal it was the easy adept farm and with this its Trials: scorched. Glad you picked up an adept though, especially with the glitch hell that is Trials today. 👍
Mine with celerity is my baby. Never getting rid of it, even with the new perks i don't think i will not use my old roll over newer ones.

Igneous is so good I had to come back to this video to write this comment, I fell in love with this weapon and my roll , I can actually win 1v1s, 1v2s, peak shot more effectively bc of the slower rpm. I’m on console and I’ve never used a HC this much or been this affective at it

It's super weird b/c "I only need two crits" was my justification for running 120s over 140s when I was super new at the game and was looking kind of askance at guns like Ace of Spades, even though that was the most popular gun at the time. I got off Igneous and DMT for Cantata, then off hand cannons entirely when AE was new and much harsher, and now things have come full circle where I want to play 120s again and I'm using that old Igneous from way back then (QD/Snap is the only old one I kept, which is a huge regret haha)
I just wish I could hit the broad side of a barn with Sturm. On paper it's soooo good, but either the model is wonky to me or that slightly lower AA is more important than I realized.
Sturm with the black ornament “Dream of a New World” or original ornament “Symbiosis” both improve the model & sights for me
I think the black one is the cleanest but used Symbiosis for a long time, it’s my favorite kinetic 120
Yeah it definitely sounds like something that's just beginner friendly, but after going back and forth between 140s and 120s for a while, I realized I just performed better when I didn't need to be perfect all the time

I’ve come to realize I straight up like igneous more than just about every 140 expect hawkmoon. A gun is more than just its stats it’s about how it feels and a lot of times I can never explain what’s giving it that feeling because it could had average or below average stats and still feel "right" or be a stat monster and I still won’t like it. Igneous has both high stats and feels amazing to me. One thing I’ve noticed with igneous is that the red dot stays visible even at the peak of its recoil which one might not notice unless paying attention but it helps a lot in fights.

I don't have an Igneus Hammer yet, but i've been using Malediction quite a bit and it's been feeling pretty fantastic for me.
That's a great one too. When you get a chance, I'd hop into trials and go for a regular drop of Igneous, just so you can compare and see which one you like most

My drops on the past all sucked, so I just kept one with high-cal, encore and elemental cap. Largely because it had the lighthouse shader, which you couldn’t obtain any other way, but it turns out to be a nice combination for anything voidy.
Still love my True Proph with OS and Explo, that thing was a beast in the 120 meta. First primary for habe over 1000 PvP kills for me.
True Prophecy is a great one too, Igneous was just the first one that I fell in love with. Do you think you'll try for one this weekend?

I got RapidHit/Opening but I think I want a KeepAway/MovingTarget. I recently became a huge fan of Moving Target, I had a “god roll” Messenger with RapidHit/Headseeker and although I enjoyed it… I gave MovingTarget/Headseeker and try and it immediately became my favorite roll. Same thing happened with my Eye of Sol, I always used my Snapshot/OpeningShot roll because it was the “god roll” but after pulling out a vaulted Snapshot/MovingTarget roll I made that my main. I underestimated the aim assist of Moving Target

Still got an old one with rapid hit and moving target, acquired 2 new ones with encore/eye and another one with keep away / opening. Decent.

Ony 120 that can keep up with igneous is the round robin when its crafted. That thing is a stat monster and with the artifact mods its always stable AF and those nano rockets are insane. Round robin with matador and ohpidians is my go to for trials. Sadly the bubble titans with PKs and immortals make it worst which is a damn shame.

I prefer 140s in general as an archetype however my favourite hand cannon being the igneous is the only 120 I feel comfortable using. The other 120s just don’t click for me. I used to use Eyasluna and Palindrome back in Destiny 1
