@Bradybrandwood So wow Alexa just told me that Leon can live 20-80 years. That’s quite the range. Have you put him in your will? Just curious because in the parrot world, some of our larger birds can live 80+ and are willed down the family line.

@@H_A_L_7 They say lobsters gain a pound for every 10 years of their life so he'd just have to weigh him. Considering he got it from a supermarket, and those are pretty much always like 1-1.5lbs, I'd say he's probably pushing 15-20 years or so. In the wild, assuming they don't get caught or eaten young, they can live up to 100 years he's gonna be around for some time. Although, there isn't much on keeping lobsters in captivity afaik, so maybe he'll live longer or less time. Hard to say really. Lobsters can in theory keep growing and aging forever since they have negligible sinesance (they effectively can't die of old age), and the only limiter on their age is their ability to molt which becomes increasingly difficult as they get bigger and bigger.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but bats commonly carry rabies. Here in CA, it is super common for them to be infected with rabies (not sure about where you are). As long as you don't hear banjo music coming through the woods, you're ok. That means I'm too busy playing on the computer watching YT videos to go out on the porch. I've always wondered why mylar balloons haven't been outlawed, or at least outlaw large-scale balloon releases. These things can end up anywhere, including being pulled up into the jetstream and sucked into aircraft engines, or end up landing in the lakes, rivers, streams, and oceans only to harm or even kill fish and other marine animals. Not to mentions the trashy aspect of it. It's amazing how much Leon has grown! He looks like he really enjoys his home. Since they are filter-feeders, I can only imagine the clams help keep the water clean. No doubt Leon will wake up one night craving something new to snack on and figure out how the pull--tab works on the clams. Have you tried putting in live oysters? A friend once had a very large aquarium like yours with east coast cluster oysters in it. They worked great at keeping the water filtered and clean! Great video Brady - thanks for sharing with us! Nothing more relaxing! Back to the banjo ...
I have always had the softest heart for animals, but even I was surprised at how much I felt that heart in my throat when the little crab was caught out! I knew you’d save him, LeonPapa Brady, but the relief was palpable at my house when you did. Thank you for your wonderful channel and beautiful content. To visit with Leon really is to enter an oasis of peace (unless you’re a wayward crab, of course!)
@16:56 The spider is likely Dolomedes tenebrosus. A fishing spider, and arboreal (normally living in trees). Very interesting to see it living in the dark at the back of a mine.
I really admire your dedication to film, you have an extraordinary skill of observation. Thank you for sharing with us. I love Leo! He’s a handsome blue guy!
Leon ''helping'' bury the clams is such a fascinating behavior ! I wonder what he's trying to do. At least he seems to not consider them food, I guess he would be either trying to open them up or pushing them towards the dirty dishes section...
@SpringoStar~In Episode 1, I saw faint traces of blue on Leon's legs. As he began to receive a regular diet and grow stronger, his color gradually changed until he molted. He started turning blue after the second molt. Brady takes such wonderful care of his aquatic creatures! It won't be long, I foresee, until he needs a much bigger aquarium.

I love how Leon is turning blue!❤ He looks so much better & healthier than he did when you first got him. Kisses to Jet. And I love bats too. Great video!
20:00 Leon helping the clam burry itself was so cute lmao
I don’t know what his goal was, but I’ll just imagine that he was trying to help his pet.
Wow, Leon's turning blue! He's really beautiful now.
Leon's living the good life! Thanks, Brady for being such an amazing human.
Leon's got new friends to take care of, how sweet is he when he wants to be lol
It's neat how Leon helped bury one of the clams. Wasn't expecting that at all.
Leon looking beautiful i remember watching your first video with leon. He is blooming into a beautiful lobster 🦞
Awesome! Thanks for checking back in on Leon.
Wonderful nature observations and photography . Your humorous narrative makes this series magnetic .Thanks so much 😊
Love Leon, What a great cave segment too! People love to see all that you are passionate about!
It’s so cool that Leon knew the clam was supposed to be buried and helped it!
Leon is looking very happy and so handsome !
My cats love watching your videos.
Leon is so pretty in the video, just so blue! Never knew they could be so colorful!
Awesome ellariel! Thanks so much for watching. ✌️✌️✌️
@16:56 The spider is likely Dolomedes tenebrosus. A fishing spider, and arboreal (normally living in trees). Very interesting to see it living in the dark at the back of a mine.
Leon looks so cool with all that blue on him.
Leon is a sweetheart! He helps the clam feel safe, Leon needs a friend.. Is he turning blue?
I really admire your dedication to film, you have an extraordinary skill of observation. Thank you for sharing with us. I love Leo! He’s a handsome blue guy!
Cool to see the clams digging. I haven't seen that before.
Leon ''helping'' bury the clams is such a fascinating behavior ! I wonder what he's trying to do. At least he seems to not consider them food, I guess he would be either trying to open them up or pushing them towards the dirty dishes section...
This is the experiment Brady was going for.....
Wow - I haven't caught up with Leon in a while and OMG that blue!!! So handsome!
Awesome! Thank you for checking back in on Leon.
The bats were so cute. I wonder if the clams will help keep the tank clean? Thank you Brady for it all.
I love seeing Leon and all his friends and I'm glad to see you helping the environment by getting rid of balloons and other things on your hikes
With every new video, Leon looks more vibrant and healthy. What a gorgeous fellow!
I love the coloration Leon's picked up.
Leon's looking nice, his color is vibrant, you can tell he's happy and healthy.
I adore how blue Leon is getting in his older age! One day he may turn ALL blue!
@SpringoStar~In Episode 1, I saw faint traces of blue on Leon's legs. As he began to receive a regular diet and grow stronger, his color gradually changed until he molted. He started turning blue after the second molt. Brady takes such wonderful care of his aquatic creatures! It won't be long, I foresee, until he needs a much bigger aquarium.
can't believe he cames from the grocery sore, what a handsome lobster and he's so lucky to have found you 🥰
Leon is such a pretty color and it’s so cool seeing the clams move!
I love bats, and Leon is turning blue!
The music in your video accompanying the wind chimes was just magical. Great video like usual. Thanks
