If you lost RC and video. It will be a power issue. Possibly too much sag causing a brownout or too much current causing something to desolder. It sounds quick. But speeds should be measured on the flat, using ground speed. Not in a dive. The records are all done like this. Check out Omegooliebird and his speed runs. He’ll dive, then level off. The speed is recorded on the flat.
MrD, firstly I’d lake to say it’s an honour to have you aboard as I have been a follower of yours for many years. My thoughts on the black out is also along excess heat and a solder joint desoldering. My vtx setup was the runcam split hd so the air unit was of a 12v bec connected directly to the 6s circuit and the dvr was off the fc 5v bec. The odd thing is that I lost rc and video but was still getting osd with a black screen stating emergency landing so possibly a beck failure on the esc due to current draw. The version 4 build will have the esc directly powered from the battery avoiding the fc to remove the lightly hood of desoldering or fc bec failure. The v3 was quick but I totally agree with level flight speed readings. Been a big fan of Omegooliebird also and his builds are amazing (250mph) 🤯. I will push the version 4 dolphin to the limit by adding more power again but this time I will record flat and level runs. Again great to have your input and I hope you follow along and enjoy the videos…..Regards, Rotorflex👍👍
Oh Aaron great video so sorry for your loss! Hopefully you’ll get it back, at that speed it might have gone to Scotland. (I lost a plane at the Knockagh years ago and never found it!) you might have a bit of luck on your side hopefully. 👍👍👍👍👍
Hey there, all info is in the build video for the version 3 on my channel, my version 3 max amp consumption was around 80A. Also check out the version 2 build for a less power hungry setup……Rotorflex👍
A cornfield tried to eat mine when the stock motor cooked while loitering. Left my HDMI cable inside, so it was circling. Came back to realize it wasn't circling anymore but was still getting GPS telemetry out of my ELRS link. Decapitated it, but nothing a little hot glue couldn't solve.

You should put a I tag in the plane so it will tell u where it is whenever u have emergency landings just a thought. Good video bud
