Great shooting man. My honest opinion not that it counts is that unless they plan on shaving 600-800$ off that price a lot of us are going to be passing this one up. My Zeus 58 cal with the mountain metal chassis kit on it does same thing. I’d like one but if there over 2,200$ they can keep it 😂. We already know with aea it’s going to have its quirks!!!
Thanks AllOut. The MCAR is a different class of big bore rifles and thus warrants the higher price. It won 1st Place in EBR Big Bore competition a few weeks ago; I'm sure it will win more.
@@backyardairguns but honestly sir is that not only because of one simple part (The Barrel), and if that be the case there’s still not enough to push for 3 man 2350$ or less is all I can see from RUclips but hey never actually held one either but Mountain Metal made that Zeus what it should have been out the gate… That’s for sure but definitely happy camper now.
Mike nice nice shooting dude glad you did this other video on this gun. I wanted to really see how it shot long range. They keep saying it's competition but it's so huge and so I'm really excited are used to watch all your AEA challenger Pro 357 And had to get one you said they were super accurate and they are very in the future I'm going to be testing out a bunch of guns myself and getting into doing some contact you and all the other guys thanks !! Send it !! do you stretch it out before 420 with a one shot sign in that's freaking amazing I can't wait till I stretch it shooting Mike now I got a freaking go check the MCar out
I love you post on my channel. The MCAR is like no other air rifle I have shoot, and I've shot many. All the video of me shooting it 200, 300, 420, and 545 yards were the first time I've ever shot any rifle that far. And I only missed one shot out of all 20 shots (4 five-shot groups). That's Not because of me; it because this rifle hit whatever you aim at regardless of distance. I read your bio and subscribed to your channel. Good luck on future videos. You will do great. You can contact me anytime for help with airguns or creating video.
I agree. This much power pushing lead down a twist barrel should lead to great accuracy in any caliber. I plan to test all the barrels and calibers with the MCAR.
Sizing your ammunition will improve those groups which are really good now. But you will tighten them up half the size. Try as many different, slugs as you can get. And size them all. You need to find out your bore diameter. And then you size a two exactly the bore diameter you have.
@@backyardairguns they are crazy. For that caliber by the time you get done you’re gonna spend three grand with the press. You need to search and find who makes the best ammunition. As far is diameter being extremely consistent. Mr. Howell point if I’m not mistaken as using all cast. Not really consistent. Actually not great at consistency at all. I pretty sure AEA machines slugs. I would check with them. Consistency Hass to be really of the most importance. Like anything consistency is everything every time that sluglines up to go down the barrel if it’s the same exact size every time groups will be tighter. If it’s off a couple thousands of an inch. It’s going to travel down the rifling differently. Consistent pressure consistent size equals consistent accuracy. Measure the board diameter and see what AEA makes as well as other manufactures. I don’t have that caliber so I’m not sure on anything. You need to find the most consistent. And usually, that’s going to be Nielsen specialty ammo. Not and if you call them, they might be able to send you in a direction for sizing equipment that isn’t crazy.
@@backyardairguns and another important thing is the lead content. You don’t want really soft slugs because you don’t have a choke. You don’t need them to be soft. Do you want the slug to travel down the barrel and grip the rifling the whole way down.
Hi Juan, I can tell you when you get the MCAR you not be able to set it down. The MCAR is such a joy to shoot. This rifle will hit what you aim at Regardless of distance. :-) The green light is from my MDT level on the other side of the rifle. Green means the rifle is level. I'm using the DNT "The One" scope that is 5 x 35 by 56. Great scope.

You will also see your accuracy pick up when you get the 7000 PSI kit. Once you shoot over 1100 FPS the group to tighten up also. You’re shooting to slow.
I agree that 880 fps for slugs seems slow, but this is pushing a 457 air rifle to 600+ fpe. I can't wait for the 7,000 psi kit for this rifle. When that arrives, I will bump the reg on this rifle well past 225 bar.
This rifle was doing 600 fpe with the reg at 220 bar. Some folks have cranked the reg up and get close to 900 fpe. Based on that, the rifle has more energy than a 9mm and 45 pistol. But less energy that a .223 / 5.56 rifle.
They do work well. They hold 6 rounds. I was trying so many different slug it was quicker for me to single load these using my custom single shot tray i make.
I thought you would never ask. :-) I'm going next week to EBR to shoot this rifle on the BinTac shooting team. When I get back, I have many special videos I'm going to do on this rifle.
Video is great!!! I enjoyed watching it. With all respect, with that power and that kind of projectile... I don't think 1,000 yards is too far. I hate to nitpick, but I accurately shot a 25cm gong at 330+ yards with a .22 cal budget PCP rifle (Hatsan AT44-10, 35 FPE energy) and 23 and 25 grain H&N slugs, several times, in different conditions, in an open field. ruclips.net/video/iXE4d-IZQ7c/видео.html
I have a video out on this rifle shooting 545 yards very accurate. I think it would do 1,000 yards, but I have no where to test that. I watched your video. Great job shooting 22 and 25 at 333 yards. Very impressive. I subscribed to your channel.
@@backyardairguns Thank you so much mate! Honestly, all of my shooting with that rifle at 300+ yards was successful only when the conditions were IDEAL. Of course, I'm thinking primarily of the wind. I follow you, keep it up. Many greetings from Serbia!
I’m not saying you’re not doing great because you are doing incredible. And thank you for showcasing that air rifles potential
Thank you Jim... there's a lot more videos on this rifle and others in the pipe. :-)
Great shooting mate...Wish they would make this rifle In smaller calibers . keep the videos coming .
I'm pushing to get this same rifle made in 30 and 357 cal. It would be a benchrest game changer.
Fantastic ‘adjustment’ to long range shooting, sir! Skills are on point showing what MCAR can do. Impressive.
I guess I gotta have one.
Thank you Sam. We took this rifle to EBR in Phoenix and won 1st place in Big Bore. You got to get this rifle. :-)
"What's nuts about those air guns is that you can get them shipped to your door.
Outstanding.
Thanks Margaret!
You'd need a big backyard for that beast. Gorgeous gun...nice shooting.
LOL. I need a bigger gun range to shoot at. I would like to try this beast at 1,000 yards, but got no where to try that. :-)
I'm impressed 👍🏾😁
Thanks! :-)
Dude, air guns are getting too good, man! Holy crap! They honestly could soon outcompete centerfire rifles.
This rifle is special. It will hit what you aim at regardless of yardage!
@@backyardairguns Yea i bet that thing is sick!
Nicely done. I’d say you’re well under 2 MOA at 420. That’s fine reflection on rifle, ammo and shooter. Fine work Sir!
Not sure about the shooter. :-) This was my first time to shoot 400+ yards. I think most people could like this with this rifle.
Another great video mike,is that as loud as it seems? Cant wait to hopefully get my hands on one.
Yes. It is crazy loud. There is no taming 600 fpe. :-)
