One of my friends was saying this was pretty good, so between him and this review sold me to actually give it a good listen

I was pleasantly surprised by this, pretty great. I have to shout out Dave Lombardo's solo album from last year. I have been playing that on repeat when I need music with no vocals.

GREAT album, love it. it's not Slayer-lite, it's got its own identity. My personal favourite tracks are the 2 punk ones...so far. Long live KK AND Slayer!

I agree. While the Slayer feeling is definitely right there, in a way it's also quite different, like those punk ones.

Diehard Slayer fan here, I bought my first Slayer album in the summer of 1987. I own lots of slayer memorabilia and tons of Slayer records and CDs, maybe im what people will call a Slayer fanboy hahahah (I know it is kind of negative label) and I even played in a slayer tribute band here in my town Barcelona in the past few years.
Dude, its just unbelibable how much I agree with your review, i mean... seems just my own words coming out of your mouth. hahah I agree in 99,9% in your angle about that fantastic record. I didnt know who sanders was either, but as i Vio-lence and Death Angel fan i was eager to listen to this album. Artwork is great in the inner gatefold, i like the cover too and i dont know if it is AI produced but it is really similiar to latest Deicide album.
Talking about talented Mark Osegueda, I agree too, that singer is so, so good an with that strong and personal vocal tone that in the case of "trophies of the tyrant" the song after a couple of listenings sounds kind of a more modern and aggressive Death Angel than slayer, to me.
yeah dude, fuck that shit, thrash metal is here.
I have the same edition (the ornage one) as you,
Enjoy and keep it going with the great Rauta Channel, the interview with Jonnhy from Unleashed was super cool.

Thanks for your words, man! It’s just cool to be a fan of something and like music like this with passion. Since Slayer is no more, I am more than happy to get albums like this to fill the void they left.

    Ja, great album.
The veterans have impressed me this year with Judas Priest along with Bruce Dickinson and obviously Kerry King.

There no reason whatsoever to listen to this KK album instead of listening to Slayer..
    It's Slayer lite

Since Slayer is the best band in the world, there's very little excuse ti listen to other bands when one can listen to Slayer.

      @@RautaMetal Unpopular metalhead opinion:
Slayer was the first N.A black metal band.
Between 83-85, inverted crosses, face paint, leather / spikes, fire, etc etc Slayer used.
Later to be dropped once their music started to progress towards thrash..
      Still,
One of the darkest bands of all time, especially in the early days.. 😎

@@RautaMetal Some killer songs there for sure, but also some really boring slower ones like Threshold, Cast Down and Seven Faces. Can't remember anything from those, even though I just played that album like six or seven times. But yeah, the good stuff is really good.

Marcelo vasco did the cover art for kk. He’s also did the slayer repentless cover art and countless other black and thrash bands. He’s solid!

@@RautaMetal I am a Jeff Hanneman era (RIP) Slayer loyalist, but this album doesn't do it for me. I gave it a listen and its basically rehashed Slayer riffs. Just not that interested. Their are lots of other bands death, black, speed, metal bands to listen too out there, that keeps me occupied. Thanks for the heads-up though. Have a good day!!!

@ScottishT.Warriorman That was my first impression with the album, like I think I said in the video. Further spins got me more to like this one. I wouldn’t compare this to black, detah ,etc. When I need some thrash metal, this is the kind stuff I am happy to get.
