- Well after 5 months of inactivity - Today marks the day (16/05/24) where 93001 turns a wheel on the mainline again heading over the Crewe for further testing.
ROG loco 37608 is due to arrive later in the day from Derby RTC to drag the class 93 over to Crewe.
This video shows 93001 in situ at Worksop waiting to depart, plus the other stabled locos and units on Worksop down yard.
They'll be a further video later in the day showing 93001 heading off to Crewe so make sure you're subscribed to the channel to see that movement later on.
Hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for watching.

It would be nice to.see a class 25 back on the main line.
Great Northern who are inheriting the Class 379s are mostly going to use them on London King's Cross-Peterborough, Cambridge, King's Lynn and Cambridge North services.
Another video on the 379’s and 465’s to follow 👍
Brilliant news regarding 93001! Nice to hear it’s back to testing once again!
More footage to follow this evening.. 👌👍
its being made ready for the RAIL EXPO at Long Marston in front of all the railway bigwigs.
Excellent video!
Great film
Really Nice Views
It's moved overnight 0Q68 to Tyseley, dragged I believe by 37608
What are they upto with that older Eurostar power car?
Great video yet again. Where on earth have all the Greater Anglia 720's and SWR 701's gone. To say only two GA's and one SWR stabled has shocked me, are they over in the other yard across the line
No - Just 379’s and 465’s in the up yard. 👍
@@trainsplanes Tanks for lettin me know, appricate it
What is happening with that pacer in the yard? Is it owned by anyone of off-lease and if it is off-lease is it for scrap?
Great video! What day will you be at SVR my friend?
Not sure yet - The line up isn’t exactly dragging me there. Might go tomorrow or Saturday 👍
Another great aerial video. Does anyone know why the Midland Metro trams are there? Storage, scrap or due to enter service? Nice to see a 373! I hope it doesn't get scrapped or is left to rot.
Was wondering about the metros too, not aware of scrapping any and no new sets so i am thinking perhaps the back end of the cracked chassis issue. I will find out though
It looks like the 08 may be taking it for a spin out
To Kiveton park or something.
it is going to the RAIL EXPO at Long Marston in front of all the rail bigwigs.
A lot of heritage stock in storage.
why as it taken a long time to get her back on test the 93001 ??
What tune did you use at the start of the video?
It’s called Top of the Morning by Tracktribe 👍
I still want 73952.. Impossible to spot down there.... I wonder what the future holds for it?
Not sure but they do move the stored stock around so it may show up in a visible location for you 🤞
Do you have any idea what there going to do with all of the ex drs class 20s?
I’d imagine most are for spares only.
You should try and buy one to put in your back garden!
Can only see 1 SWR 701 - have they all left now?
Yep - Just the 2 x class 720’s left also 👍
37608 Has bee repainted
92s are gone.
Now at Loughborough 👍
The owner of this place must be making some serious lolly out of all that, for little effort.
the owner is Harry Needle of H.N.R.C. so he already had a few quid. its ex E.W.S. before they went under years ago. they should be prepping all the class 379,s to go to Great Northern.
True but I herd they spent six figures on fencing and security at the beginning of the site being used
I am sure I remember east midlands railway putting out a tender for stabling/storing units, I think I read it on RAILFORUMS. the idea was put forward by some members this place would get the work either for storing 158 or even the new 810 units until they were ready to enter service, but that may not happen now the 810's are so far behind delivery. With the 379 units going south to Great Northern the 701's all being reworked and the last few Greater Anglia 720's being moved too. the place will look pretty empty. there is still the compound opposite the junction where you turn off to go to Sheffield that has the 20/37//465/466 though. The 93 should be at RIAL EXPO which I believe is held at Long Marston as I keep getting messages on my computer saying class 93 presented by RGO. Do not know for sure if it is legit or not as you would have thought the advert would have got the spelling right. R.O.G. instead of rgo.
I'm sure they can find something else to fill the yard
