yes mia! Im a member at windlesham and let me say, until you have played the course a couple times.. it’s really hard to score well. so you did an exceptional job! Finding balls is hard, and reading the greens, and knowing where to aim. Regardless of this you scored amazingly. ❤❤

WTG Mia. Nice start for your new series. You’ve come a long way from your first tries at the driving range 4+ years ago. Keep it up Mia. Great job.

Mia. You are an incredible golfer! I say this in total kindness. The Only thing holding you back is your horrible self talk. Think positive and be confident. You doubt yourself in nearly every area! You’ll reduce strokes by simply changing your head games. Keep up the great work.

I listened to your intro and this is what I heard... Play your own game, learn from your mistakes, listen to your inner self, and eliminate as much distraction as possible but most of all play with intent. You have come a long way.

For someone who's only played for 4 years you're really good. I love your ambition to break par.
I had my first pb on Sunday scoring 89. My goal is being more consistent and hitting in the 80s (also making sure I enjoy playing golf).
Wishing you all the best 🙏🏌️⛳

Easy swings. Plan _each_ hole for *confident approaches,* clubs and shots you _know_ will succeed. Chasing balls in the weeds/woods, taking drops, and inconsistent putting pace will keep your goal off the card, regardless of the tees. Notice the front/back tees are _longer_ but not often _easier._
*Spend 10+ minutes warmup on the putting green.* Find putt pacing by hitting 3-5 balls, on the same line but increasing/decreasing distance.

You've come a long way in the 4 and a half years of watching your videos, I remember well watching you hit shag balls into a net in the backyard. Don't be so hard on yourself is the only advice to give you. Park your perfectionism at the first tee and enjoy yourself. After all, you could be at an office somewhere doing clerical work... or at a desk calculating stress on structural members of a skyscraper.

That was a solid effort... way to go. I don't think there is much to go for level par.
Do you go over your round with your pro to change shot selection?
Because short game club selection led to missed birdies or missed pars on holes: 1, 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, and 15. (Are you only chipping with the 54 degree?, maybe a release 1 with a 8i might leave you with a closer 1st putt!)
And if you consider the 3 putt on hole 2... thats your level par!
Maybe a trip to see Dan Grieve will be worth a look?

I think for ladies/forward tees that is quite long at 5,664 yards, that would be senior tees at most courses in my state. My home course is par 74 and 5,197 yards for ladies.

Very nice course and a good effort on your part. What they gave you on all those short holes, they took back away with those impossible pin placements. I might also suggest leaving the driver in the bag if there are trees to go over, around or through, and just hit an iron down the middle. Keep smiling!

Bit of advice don't focus on what you want to avoid focus on where you want the shot to go. Focusing on things you want to avoid puts negativity in your mind.

Mia, love your enthusiasm but to play better you need to concentrate on the basics, alignment and ball position, without this you'll continue to play army golf. Your opening statement suggested you were going to be doing this but as yet haven't seen anything near, sorry.

@@dansmith2338bad comparison. Crossfield has been a pro for donkies years, he can play messing around and chatting etc and still break par. Mia’s trying to shoot level for the very first time which is difficult without total focus and minimal distraction. Let’s hope she does soon tho 🙏

No doubt some of the previous comments ring true, and are valid for your personal objective to break par. HOWEVER - for great content that resonates with everything that goes through most of our heads on the course, don’t change! There’s enough serious / how to break par know it all stuff out there, so as you crazy kids say ‘ you do you’ - it’s brilliant 👍🏻🪄⛳️

I would look into Decade golf ruclips.net/video/n9x4W4lAQW4/видео.htmlsi=C_WQc_5kV8y4bGvp is a good RUclips video explaining it. Not sure it is important that you adapt Decade fully but its underlining principle of using your dispersion patterns with each club to determine club selection is definitely going to help you.
Secondly, you need a mechanism at the start of your pre shot routine to physically signal your body you are going from RUclips host to golfer. A deep breath or some other physical cue which once you execute you don’t say another thing, you just focus solely on the execution of your pre shot routine to your golf shot. Once you complete your shot you can then go back into RUclips mode. I know it sounds silly but you may need to practice this to ingrain it so well it becomes automatic.
Finally I think you should work on your putting pace. Again, you should work on pre putt routine to help become more consistent. It should include on putts over 5 feet, a complete 360 degree walk around of the ball to the hole so you are seeing it from all angles, you should pace off the distance of the ball to hole (think of it as similar to getting a yardage on a shot - it will help you overtime get a feel for how far a putt it is - don’t worry about converting it to an actual distance, it just is one factor that helps you judge the speed you will need - I.e, this is fairly flat so it is a standard 12 pace putt, or its downhill so even though its 8 paces it is playing more like a 6 pace putt.), and try to feel with your feet the slopes of the green (for the sake of pace of play you can do most of that while your playing partners are taking their putts). Once you come back to your ball is when you should decide on a line and backswing length. I would really focus on putting pace drills as I think that is where you are furthest away from your goal. Your ball striking and short game seem pretty good so apart from finding your dispersion numbers I would really work on improving your putting pace. Forget about reading greens and line for now as that will come from playing. You need to avoid more three putts which is getting much better with your speed.
Those are the three most glaring things to me that are stopping you from achieving your goal of shooting par. The good news is it just requires some focused work as you have the fundamental tools to get there!
