Mario Strikers and the most recent Mario Tennis are the only times that Mario himself and a lot of the other characters have received costumes

First they got new shoes and socks in Tennis Aces, then a new athletic outfit in Mario and Sonic Tokyo 2020, and now, completely new golfing outfits.

I love that even Peach and Daisy, who already had sports outfits, got new golfing outfits! And that for once, Daisy got a more different one instead of a recolor of Peach's. The skirt and belt are different, and she wears high socks, while Peach doesn't. (Edit: Also, I've seen on Twitter that Daisy apparently is wearing a skort instead of a normal skirt, unlike Peach. So another nice difference, that sets their personalities apart!)

@@stephkm3655 yeah she doesn’t actually seem that different from Peach’s design. It’s a slightly different skirt and she has socks. They could’ve done much more. What’s much more interesting is that for the first time since like her first sports game, she has somewhat tanner skin than Peach. We need Nintendo to take this further. Differentiate them for God’s sake!
I like how the skirts match each princess's personality. Peach's is classy and ends in a feminine ruffle, while Daisy's is sportier. It looks like a wrap skirt (or skort), and I like how it incorporates the color of her jewels. They definitely look more stylish than in previous games!
Wario has a cowboy hat and patterned pants, but my eyes are mostly paying attention to the cowboy hat

It's a sports game developed by camelot, Waluigi is never gonna be left out. In fact he's so popular that he probably will never get left out of a spin off again.

They are possible since Camelot was assigned by Nintendo to develop this game that is a Mario Golf game and we haven’t had one since Mario Golf World Tour that came out in 2014. The thing is, Nintendo is not making those games so they would have to hire Next Level games to make another Mario Strikers game since they developed those. Mario Sluggers being developed by a company like Bandai Namco is something I have no idea about.
We got Strikers!!! All we need is Sluggers.

Since a Tennis game is already out, I knew a Mario Golf game would be coming to Switch. But, I very excited for this. I also like that like Mario Tennis Aces, the characters are wearing proper golf attire, even Bowser himself is wearing proper attire. (with the exception of a few of course)

The fact that we can FINALLY play as our Miis in a Mario game that's not a port but a new game is music to my ears. Considering how Nintendo are doing the mii characters, I'm glad they did this.

Super Mario Odyssey was the last actually mario game, Peach rejected both Mario and Bowser, and since then, they've been playing tennis, golf, going down memory lane and remember Mario 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy, and more. The last actual Mario game was in 2017, 4 years ago, I need a new MARIO Mario game, not just a Mario game
