Great video Ronny, I have a 2021 Prado and I had so many questions and ideas, this video helped me heaps and answered many of the questions, Nice looking rig, no longer the shopping trolley, it's now a true off-road capable unit and great on fuel to boot! Looking forward to watching P#3.
not my thing but keep it up Ronnie, this is 100% the kind of content that encourages people to get out there, especially those who thing they need 35s and $150k to do it. PRIME CONTENT!
I've got a 23 zero tent for my Prado, 57kg I think, I have 4 M12 eye bolt screws screwed in under my deck, I drive in under unbolt my tent, 4 bolts about 10 mins work and use ratchet straps to lift her up, can lift it off drive away and lower it all the way to the ground and back up by myself
Loving the Prado series. We have a fully decked out Prado with similar brand gear. We also have to watch our GVM closely. Interested to see how the weight goes in this girl. It’s amazing ARB don’t offer a GVM upgrade for these vehicles.
R/D. Good followup Part 2 presentation ! This "S&M" project Prado build seems to be the most sensible display so far on this YT Channel and congratulations to the owner for improving this vehicle to meet their needs on and off the highway. More content on the other channel ? V.
Oh man, I thought I am going to see the part I was waiting for on this episode, now its pushed to episode 3. Ronny, Make sure its worth the waiting .... thanks
Bp51 are quality but remote res shocks need full suspension movement to move the oil through the shock. Simpson desert for example benefit from remote res but Corrugations don’t move the shock enough to move the oil in the reservoir thus they heat up.
loving "Project Soccer Mums Car" sorry sorry i mean Prado...ha ha.... can you do a patch saying "Its not a soccer mums car, its a 4x4" as i need one for my Prado, best under rated car around.
Looks great! I was wondering if Chris might have gone for the carbon fiber tent, but the columbus is light eough anyway. I've gone for the alu cab tent myself, I just figured it would be a bit warmer in the Vic high country where I spend most of my time. Essentially my Prado and Chris's are like siblings, same colour and very similar throughout. Awesome!
Interested to know about the cut out on the rhino hide for the snorkel and which way it was done, do you fit the rhino first and then do the cut outs on both the panel and rhino to fit ?
Enjoying the series. Thinking of buying a prado. Question about the snorkel. Does it actually increase the wading depth? For that you’d need to install diff breathers and you didn’t mention that as a mod.
Has the vehicle got a mod plate for the suspension lift? If a 2" lift, and running the 70 series tyres, it's now approx 13mm over the max allowed roof height of 50mm increase without a mod plate.
Awesome video guys! Love the content, Just want to know, what is the weight rating on the roof when stationary? Like I am looking at getting a roof top tent for my Prado 2022 and want to know if it is designed and safe for me and my wife to be in it and whats the total weight limit it can hold.
Coming along nicely. Does the car have to be re-engineered because you are removing seats turning it into a three seater?? Do the seatbelts have to be removed etc… Over here in Sictoria it’s required I’m pretty sure. No protection on the plastic bumper screams damage to me.Cheers
Hey Ronny, you guys across the pond have the 4runner? Im stateside and there are rumors of the Prado being released here. How does the Prado stack against the 4R?
Hi Ronny I am one if you follower on RUclips. I just to ask i got my own prado 150 2022. It is safe to put any wheel spacers for 4wheel driving? Thank you
Hey Ronny, did Rhinohide supply the panels painted silver? I was looking to buy a set of Hilux panels about 6 months ago, and on their website FAQ's they mentioned that they can sell them colour coded but can't find that on there anymore. I called a few times but nobody ever answered or got back to me. I emailed and even commented on a post they put on a Hilux facebook page asking them the same question, but never got a response.
Ronny, what's your experience with the hilux drive modes on long distance driving (highway)? Are there any difference at all between eco, normal and power? The eco mode makes the pedal less responsive but that doesn't matter on the highway.
Hi, I have recently bought the same vehicle. I am concerned about my GVM of 2990kg with the similar modes? Can you give an idea of weight for the products?
Great series, had my 150 for 10 years and dont see any reason to change yet. The dirty gear bag on the spare tyre and a spacer killed my rear door, hopefully your not using a spacer.
@@andrewritchie5065 Broke most of the spot welds holding the inside of the door together. The spare would then wobble on the door and squeak over every bump. Tried several time times to reweld the spot inside the door but have given up and have to get a new door. This was no surprise to any of the panel beaters i spoke to.
Ronny and all Why i dont see anay one with a winch on thé back bumper why why why? Thanks for your opinion 2 winch IS juste thé top of Bush shit safety Bob
Wait, didn't you have a female who was your camera person? I remember seeing her a while ago, can't remember her name though. Didn't know she had moved on.
Agreed. I bet the anchor points leave some kind of an impression over the long haul also.. I think I would rather deal with pin stripes than looking at my car wrapped in a hideous shell for all it’s life. If pin stripes bother you, I say do it properly and Linex the thing
Love the vehicle, but those fake rivets's look worse than if you'd just splattered the vehicle in horse shit. What's the point of protecting scratches if it looks like shit all the time.
Love the use of green screen!
I really enjoy these every Sunday. Thanks Ronny.
It’s been a revelating experience. Classic!!
You mentioned no GVM upgrade. Please weigh the vehicle once all the mods completed.
Cheers

88 kg for the rebound foam and 99 kg for the inner spring according to their website.

Iam enjoying the build process and the reviews stay safe you two.
I just love that body work protection you've fitted...I've never seen anything like it other then what was standard kit on the Prado 120.
Awesome video - level of video production quality just keeps on getting better! Hope to meet you in Perth someday Ronny!

Love the colour of the car with all the mods and rinohide it looks awesome 👍
Nice vehicle. Love the roof top tent. Two years to get rid of the smell, or you just got used to it.
Looks good Ronny! Having a similar look to the fleet is quite a good idea. Liking the intro music also.
Maxxis tyres are great. I'm amazed at how quiet they are, I'm about 10,000 km into a set at the moment.
Amazing build
thank you for share detailed video
Ronnys video has been live for 90 seconds and there’s two thumbs down!!!! There are some real bitter sad people out there.
that front end is jacked
Very funny when he left Roni. 🤣

Love the build guys, can you share specs on suspension please , looking at upgrading my MY14 Prado. Cheers GB
I'm really digging these wildflower blooms in all your recent videos. Reminds me of California after 2016-2017 winter. Did you guys get a lot of rain?
Yeah had a fair bit this winter

Nice one Ronny and Chris. I’ve been waiting patiently for this one 👌 I have a Prado on order sop super keen to see what you do.

It looks like those panels will vibrate and rub down the paint tho.
Will you ever do a joint video with

Where did you film this?
Ronny, what do you think of the Ironman foamcell suspension for duns and on road?
Did you move the reverse camera with the rear rubbish bag being on the spare and where to if you did?
Is there an actual lift to the suspension with the new shocks/springs, or only slightly bigger tires?
Wow

I use eco in low range when climbing rocks
Normal mode on highway or power if towing
Hi Ronnie, question, do the larger tyres knock off the speedo at all? ?
Can you confirm what size Columbus RTT is on the prado? Small, medium, large?
The rubbish bag don't block the rear camera?
Check out kaon they have a mount that move the camera out if the way of the bag without compromising the view
Those ARB skids get destroyed after a few runs here in Colorado... other than that the Prado is amazing!
Which rooftop tent is this? I want somting like this on my J90!
