    Следующий уровень "мемы"
    - Скуф, ты получил альтушку на "Госуслугах"?
    - Сэр, нет, сэр
    - Паршиво, чëрт возьми

    6:30 I also hear "как бы" a lot, as a filler. It was funny that a Russian colleague was talking to me in English, and in the middle he said "как бы" 😄

    • @fmaylinch
      @fmaylinch 29 дней назад +1

      I want to add that "ну..." sounds like a doubt, so for a "truly" filler word, I guess Russians prefer "как бы". Or "короче", of course! I just remembered this one, probably the filler word номер один 😁

    лютый = fierce or insane, which means something is truly serious, to the extreme
    люто = fiercely / insanely / seriously (smth)
    лютый мороз = fierce cold
    лютый прикол = insane / mindblowing thing
    лютый чел = super tough guy
    люто дорогой = insanely expensive
    люто скучный = insanely boring
    это люто = this is serious

    Жёстко is interesting to me, because in german "hart" (which also means hard or dense) is used in the same way as the first example in slang

    Does BeFluent have some sort of way to test Russian cases and verb conjugations? I would love to see something like what the MasterRussian website has, but with an updated UI and using common words

    Interestingly, "люто" is, unlike the rest, a very archaic word, taken from ancient slavic tales, where it would be used to highlight a particularly dangerous enemy.

  • @fmaylinch

    4:05 I'd say for example "прикольно!", is it the same as "прикол" here?

    • @sciences6705
      @sciences6705 Месяц назад +2

      Nearly. "Прикол" is a noun, it usually means a joke or a meme. "Прикольно" is adjective, It usually means that something is funny or as an assessment, how cool.

    "Люто" could also mean "wild" or "savage".

    Hey Fedor,
    How would you compare your lessons to Story Learning with Olly Richards?
    Only problem is I already bought his lessons. It wasn’t until I started learning the alphabet when I came across your videos.
    I like your RUclips videos and have already learned a lot from them. Listening to you pronounce words in Russian is extremely helpful !
    I would not be opposed to getting the premium package if I knew I could do both at the same time.
    What do you think?
    Thanks
    Blue

    What are you talking about? Fedor explains everything just fine. There are things English that 'just are', meaning that we use them without knowing why. Most English grammar things like that can be explained if I wanted to learn the reasoning, but if I don't need to, what's the use?

    just for fun, a long chain of filler words that can give you time to think:
    да нет, ну, смотри, как бы, короче, не знаю, грубо говоря, типа...
    that should buy you some time to decide what to say actually 😂

    но ведь нельзя произнести жЪёска - у нас ведь "ж ш ц" всегда твёрдые, лучше бы объяснил иностранцам, почему там именно ё(и почему там не может быть о, в литературном конечно же)
