I managed to use a 3" hole saw to cut through a hardwood floor with my subcompact. It wasn't that fast but it worked just fine, shockingly.

I'm impressed with these compact drills, they punch well above their weight .I have the Dewalt Atomic and am very impressed with it's performance, just like this Makita .
