    I think Makita could have included some information like you have shown, I have never used an impact wrench in my 68 years of using all sorts of tools and the information supplied, to me is some what sparse. Thanks for the vid!

    did the gentleman think that if he has the blade on the left side and saw with this blade placement, that he would cut from the other side so that more of the board rests, or are all youtubers stupid?

    What makes this so great is the 7.25 blade the blades for my festool track saw are not cheap. When you cut materials that might have nail it hurts the wallet

    When these came out (xwt14) i skipped it to grab the xwt17 instead. Ive been using the xwt11 the previous model to do brakes, tire rods, ball joints, sway bay end links and was generally happy with it. I recently upgraded to the xwt14 and damn, this thing hits like a brute, great tool

    Sorry, the idea that Ford didn't give enough of a crap to set up the latch so their customers could access that area is BS. For what these trucks cost, we customers shouldn't have to fight with that latch and then spend more money on aftermarket parts just to get behind the seat. There's no reason they couldn't install that set up at the factory, especially considering the price of each vehicle.

    the 'amps' you are referring to are really AmpHours. They don't affect the power of the saw (Volts do), just the time you will be able to use it. Thanks for the video, concise info for someone like me looking to buy one of these.

    Ok which hammer setting do you get with mode 1 2 3 or does the mode work on an individual setting for each hammer setting you choose 1 2 3 4. I ask because when i choose hammer setting 4 and then choose a mode i get the option of 1 2 or 3 are those three mode settings operating the tool in hammer setting 4 (most powerful) and if i choose hammer 3 is the mode working in hammer setting 3 and so on?in other words does does the hammer setting control power and does the mode control the way the tool works in that individual power setting.

      I have just bought this tool, haven't used it yet, but from reading the manual it seems that in any of the 3 modes in clockwise (so tightening for the most part) it didn't state which impact force it used, but it doesn't apply impact blows for more than 1 second max (mode 3). In Counterclockwise (ie loosening) it says modes 1 and 2 use impact force 4, it doesn't say what force mode 3 uses, but assume 4 also. The difference in those 1 and 2 counterclockwise modes is how long it continues to turn after stopping the impacts, and mode 3 it turns slowly after stopping the impacts as long as you keep the trigger pressed.

    Great video. Ran across this while doing some research on the regular Makita track saw. I'm curious just how accurate your saw is vs. the regular track saw. Tilting doesn't matter for me; 99.9% of the cuts I make are 90 degrees, and I rarely make plunge cuts. If the accuracy is the same, this seems like a great alternative to the other model regardless of price. The only cons I can tell for my purpose is the lack of dust collection and having to deal with the blade guard.

    • @Stevesbe
      @Stevesbe 10 месяцев назад

      The blade is thin, don't push it too fast. Insufficient power blades are easily deformed and deflected. try more, slow down

    In regards to the 6" structural screws. I got a very rough time(hand timing) of '12.5 sec with the 5Ah' & '13.5 secs with the 2Ah'. So while there was a very slight difference in time, but really next to none when you look at it when it's just like 7% faster.

    Hey man good video. Just a slight correction, ‘Ah’ is for amp hours, not amps. Both packs are still 18v, but vary in usage time. Yet it kind of seems the 5Ah pack was more potent or perhaps just a variation in the wood. Great evaluation, thanks for the insight, going to snag one of these bad boys definitely
