I just started a few days ago. I’m caring for my mom that has dementia and my son isn’t interested in helping and I have such bad arthritis but I am determined to get decor up and finish. I still have a lot to do. 😂 lol. ❤🎉

Love that the two gold ornaments and the plaid made it look like Mickey ears ! We haven’t done our tree yet! 😢 As you know my husband got sick back in March. So it’s just me doing all the heavy lifting in attic and all that. I’m hoping tonight or tomorrow I can do the tree bc the kids are begging me! I will get it done! I don’t ever want to disappoint them!

@@juliannenichole thanks! He’s been disabled since March. Not technically sick. But he can’t walk without a walker or be out without a wheelchair (safer for him And me)! He’s been diagnosed with transverse myelitis. But he started at a new rehab. And he’ll start Botox injections in January in his legs so we’re hoping all this helps him make a full recovery!🙏🏻 Tree is up and decorated !! I made a huge meal of shepherds pie (our fav) then we did the tree! It was a nice family night!

I been watching a lot of channels decorating for Christmas, I was just wondering what happened to the concept of the family decorating the tree together. It’s one of my fondness memories as a child growing up, it is a tradition . I have passed down myself . It’s a family event with the kids. I can’t imagine just decorating the tree myself alone. I hope in the further when looking back at their childhood it a precious memory as a family event. I have two older children and they like to also have a tree in their room each year they change their theme and we pick out new ornaments. I do the rest of the home myself. Then it’s lots of cookie making together and baking. The Christmas stories, movies, and events, Christmas mass. It’s the best time to make those precious memories as a family. I did a simple rustic tree this year...I just put pine cones (8 for $1 at Dollar General), red jingle bells (6 for $1 at Dollar General), black and white buffalo check bows, and burlap bows on the tree with a rustic star (clearance from Walmart last year) and warm white lights (prelit tree)...under the tree, instead of my regular skirt, I put a sparkle snow skirt that I got cheap at Walmart...
@@juliannenichole thank you...I have cats in the house this year and didn't want them destroying everything on the tree...lol...plus I wanted more of a rustic winter look than a Christmas look this year so I can keep the decor out for the winter and not have to change it out until spring...
